Just wondering for any aphel players, I heard the "new" gun order a lot of pros are using is red - green - white - purple - blue. How does this differentiate in playstyle to the recommended white - red - green - purple - blue? I know white purple is a tragic pairing, but I tried it in a couple games and I ended up using white's ammo so fast I was 1 q or so away from blue most of the time
it‘s to have green and white as a first „duo“ which marks the enemys if you land you white q and then you can auto them aswell for a poke. If you get rid of white then you will have the order that you said which is key to playing aphelios. you just have to get rid of the oldest gun afterwards to maintain the combos
Red+Blue means red Q offhand hits deal more damage (and red Q gives MS), Blue Q on multiple targets heals a lot. I think pro players like having Blue+Purple, Red+Blue and Green+White together because those are the strongest in teamfights. White purple is shit but red+white is very hard to use in pro play and you use Green+White to put down turrets which will empty White very fast anyway, so you're at Purple+Blue pretty quickly. Red+Green is meh so I guess you try to get rid of as much Red as possible before getting Green, and you miss out on Green+Purple catch.
