I have always loved Aphelios' kit design, but came to enjoy it even more for the simple reason that putting time into understanding it puts you at a significant advantage as a user to most other players by the widely accepted notion that his kit is too complex to be worth understanding. I've always explained him simply as "you have two guns equipped at all times. The one in hand determines how your AAs and abilities 'shoot', while your secondary weapon determines the secondary/tertiary effect of the ability". That may be oversimplified, but when you think about it, that's also the most accurate way of describing his kit without going into every 2-weapon combo in his arsenal. After understanding that basic premise of what determines your AA/ability style, it's just a matter of understanding what each gun does and how it interacts with other guns. What I struggle with understanding is why people aren't okay with trying to understand Aphelios' gun combos... but they're okay understanding specific champion-to-champion interactions. With people being able to know how to play out a teamfight when there are so many champions in the game to begin with, I really don't think having a very basic grasp of Aphelios' kit is that difficult. And disclaimer for the punks who like to extrapolate meaning where there isn't: I'm not high-ranked, nor am I saying Aphelios is the key to getting high rank, nor that understanding his kit makes you intellectually superior to people who don't. Maybe at most I'll call them lazy (the one who doesn't want to put effort to getting a basic understanding of his kit) but certainly won't call them bad at the game or anything like that
No newbe dare taking a hard champ and there is no point to take a very high demanding of brain power champ for doing the same impact as a jinx or a Caitlin.

@@morrigancollins2092 yeah uhhhh Aphelios’ guns aren’t RNG. There are steps that every player has to take in order to set your rotation at the beginning of the game. He’s a champ that has a lot of skill expression and his kit has a way to support just about every play style in the game, you just have to know how to use each gun. Saying that this champ depends entirely on luck is an insult to the people that put in the effort to learn him (myself included)
@@morrigancollins2092 as an example, if you like a particular gun, then you'll know once you use up it's ammo count you have to cycle through 3 more guns to get it back. This knowledge can be used to set up if you want a certain combo by holding one gun in reserve and not using it's ammo at all until you get the gun you wana combo it with, then using all ammo of both guns in tandem to keep them together
I'm gonna be honest watching Aphelios gameplay feels very surreal, it feels like it's a completely different game. I don't think there's a champ as "unique" as Aphelios is in a way. I get the vibe that playing him feels isolating from all the other champs around you and even the game itself from how just different he is.
Some helpful tips on how to get and use the White weapon: - When you start the game, use Red first until it runs out, then Green, then the oldest. That should guarantee you get the Red White combo. So the order should be Red -> Green -> Purple -> Blue -> White -> Red, you want to use up Purple and Blue around the same time to get the Red/White combo right after, then you use Red and only auto attack with White when it has stacks. After the Red runs out, use the oldest weapon of the two for the remainder of the game. - You can see the gun order by hovering over the Hitman and the Seer icon where you level up. It shows the two weapons your holding and the next order of the other three. The Third weapon is the next in line once you run out of one of the two you are holding. Also, you can see the next gun in rotation in your ability bar next to your offhand weapon in the upper right of it. - White generates stacks when it is used as an off-hand weapon attack. So, Blue, Green, and Red will use White as an off-hand weapon attack when you Q with those three weapons, generating stacks per use of the off-hand weapon. - Generally, you don't want to use White as a turret while holding Red, only with Green and Purple. And you don't want to do regular auto attacks with White, only if it has stacks. Also, as you saw, the closer you stand to the target, the faster the White attacks. - The White stacks have a timer going until they disappear, attacking a champion resets the timer as well as gaining more stacks also resets it. Also, at minute 30:40, White had no stacks since the stacks ran out of time. Thats what it did not do damage. Ideally, you use Red Q to build up stacks then switch to White and auto.
For red+white gun you push Q with red as primary and then that generates a ton of chakrams then you immediately switch to white gun and auto and it yeets all the chakrams you’ve stacked up at them, it’s nuts
As someone who has a duo who regularly plays Aph, there's one thing I've learned. Red-White is his strongest combo for dueling. Definitely explains why Zwag likes it the most.
Blue and white is also Nice :) All enemys You Hit with Blue give you a chakram. I like to ult + q with Blue to have some massive aoe damage in the start of a fight then go with white and deal Tonne of dmg. After that you have your red and also can deal tons of dmg and have lifesteal af:)
Being the aphelion main I am, looking at zwags gun rotation makes me want to crawl into a hole. And the way he carelessly uses all his ammo. Just… aurgh

Agree, he's one of the most fun adcs to play. And you do need skill since he has 0 mobility and different weapon combos have different wincons. Weapon and ammo managament is also hard to learn

Hey zwag if u want to have the most standard gun combo's try depleting the guns in this order red-green-purple-blue-red-white And afer that just deplete the oldest gun in your inventory Also for close range fights if you have the red and white gun combo try red q into white r for a large ammount of burst damage on your white auto's :)
You hit Q with red weapon then once the stars are stacked up you hit ult, switch to white weapon and hug them. Sniper/flame thrower is great for team fights tho. Q - ult - auto with sniper and flames hit everyone and AoE out from each person hit.
I like using the Scythe and Cannon combo, hitting them with cannon and snare them, then use the Scythe ability to heal and poke or Chakram and Flamethrower, Flamethrower Q on minions to gather Chakram stacks and then Galeforce in to use chakram auto atk burst and the Guma's infamous Scythe and Chakram, gather stacks with Scyhte Q then all in with Galeforce and Chakram
In proplay its "red and white dont fight" (for the enemies). I think the combo is that u press red-Q and stack shurikens and then switch to white where u have soo many shuricens and just deal so much dmg
Try Yomuu into Collector, it actually annihilates squishies and gives you movespeed early, which Aphelios lacks. And LDR vs tanks later if the enemy team has any. Critality build is insane, trust me
If Rito had any brains between their ears and would buy licenses left and right like Epic does with Fortnite, Aphelios would've already had his Metal Slug skin, complete with weapon change sounds.

There are probably like 10 more comments like this but bro it goes red gun q into a lot of minions, enemies, turrets then swap to white gun aa that is now fully stacked and shred them from close distance. Blue gun aoe stacks it a bit too so blue q into white aa is also an option You do it right sometimes but often you swap to late and then the stacks are gone already.. Edit: And for Samiras windwall i think when you stand next to her fully stacked you avoid the wall the issue might be her using it while you try to stack up with red q

Day 4 of asking for a Tank Anivia video. The build consists of stacking tons of HP with Grasp + Heartsteel. Obviously you'll do less damage, but the build is really satisfying. You can frontline and provide a lot of CC. Also, when you die, the HP transfers to the egg, creating a 4k+ HP distraction, while your teammates finish the opponents.
i feel that even 50 years from now you will still be asking this, it's such a crap idea that he won't do it like ever. Also,anivia is a crap champ anyway.Not worth making a video about it no matter what build. Y'all dumbheads should stop asking useless stuff.
Now I am not calling Aphelios op. He is balanced by his weak early game and skill ceiling, and he has a pretty insane skill ceiling, BUT holy shit is he one of the most over tuned champions. His kit has basically everything in it: AD, lethality, on-hit, healing, range, cc, attack speed, aoe wave clear, damage, AP scaling, crit. Honestly the only thing not built into his crit is % health damage... I think.
zwag first of all use your flamethrower R when they your enemys are close secnod of alltry ult with Churkin's and auto attack and you will be so fed as usal
How to get always good weapon combos: use up red, then use up oldest gun until you get to red white, use up red again, and then just always use up your oldest gun and youre on a perma good cycle 👍(for those who care to learn more, check the comments :>)
The most confusing part with aphelios for me was recognizing what his q really does on any gun, the only essential part is that a q with your main gun often interact with your off hand. The only one with a direct "interaction" is white, for every hit with your main guns q, white gains an extra chakram, which is basically like 20% of an auto added to your white autos, thats why red white is a good combo, red q makes you do a shit ton of autos with red, and every second auto shoots your secondary gun, so red q gives you a lot of chakrams, green q doesnt pair well for this purpose, becasue with green q you inly shoot one white auto, so you get one chakram. With green white its better to use whites q to get a turret which tags enemies so you can auto them fron a very long range and stack up chakrams that way. Here are all of the q's dummed down: Green: snipe and long range auto with your off hand Purple: after a purple auto, root. Blue: aoe cone which shoots your off hand after hitting someone Red: brrrrrrrrrrrrr (and heal) White: heimer q but with different flavours.
Day 6: I want an alphabetical series. Get a win with every champ alphabetically with an off-meta build Added caveat: Doesnt have to do them all in a row, but as he works on them to just throw them in a playlist. BUT the playlist must be alphabetical in additions.
One thing about Zwag is that he's always gonna mention his hate for Aphelios every time he picks him

9:28 dude u got perfect combo but after ult (cabrium) u use AA and swap to PURPLE SO U HAVE Q ON PURPLE ACTIVE U CAN USE IT AGAIN TO GET KILL .
Now I am not calling Aphelios op. He is balanced by his weak early game and skill ceiling, and he has a pretty insane skill ceiling, BUT holy shit is he one of the most over tuned champions. His kit has basically everything in it: AD, lethality, on-hit, healing, range, cc, attack speed, aoe wave clear, damage, AP scaling, crit. Honestly the only thing not built into his crit is % health damage... I think.

zwag first of all use your flamethrower R when they your enemys are close secnod of alltry ult with Churkin's and auto attack and you will be so fed as usal

How to get always good weapon combos: use up red, then use up oldest gun until you get to red white, use up red again, and then just always use up your oldest gun and youre on a perma good cycle 👍(for those who care to learn more, check the comments :>)
The most confusing part with aphelios for me was recognizing what his q really does on any gun, the only essential part is that a q with your main gun often interact with your off hand. The only one with a direct "interaction" is white, for every hit with your main guns q, white gains an extra chakram, which is basically like 20% of an auto added to your white autos, thats why red white is a good combo, red q makes you do a shit ton of autos with red, and every second auto shoots your secondary gun, so red q gives you a lot of chakrams, green q doesnt pair well for this purpose, becasue with green q you inly shoot one white auto, so you get one chakram. With green white its better to use whites q to get a turret which tags enemies so you can auto them fron a very long range and stack up chakrams that way. Here are all of the q's dummed down:
Green: snipe and long range auto with your off hand
Purple: after a purple auto, root.
Blue: aoe cone which shoots your off hand after hitting someone
Red: brrrrrrrrrrrrr (and heal)
White: heimer q but with different flavours.

the combo is Q with any other weapon and then auto with the crecendum so it does crazy damage upclose

I'd enjoy playing Aphelios more if his E actually let you toss your current gun for the next one, instead of just telling you what the next one is.

Added caveat: Doesnt have to do them all in a row, but as he works on them to just throw them in a playlist. BUT the playlist must be alphabetical in additions.
