@Tired Siren they're using the hashtag for clout thats all its not that they believe they have 4c hair although their might be people who actually think that but their small in number.
they used the tag "4u" but the algorithm put it under the type 4 tag. if you go back you can see they never used the type 4 hashtag.

The truth right there I cringed so hard at that bleaching because I would be so scared 🤣😂
Bleached my full hair, cut all off gradually.
Now I'm at bra strap, I did a strand or a clump test first to see how my hair reacted.
It stretched my curl patterns and I had to trim every month to two months.
with virgin hair I trim 4-6 months.
I was worth it, it always looked healthy because I trimmed but length retention was not possible.
@@candi1904 I have always had crazy hair colors. from pink to grey. with my natural hair it's just not worth it for me to bleach it. it's scary the amount of damage I could get if it's done wrong or prematurely because I want a fly hair colour. 😂🤣

I think the wrong tag problem is because some people outside of the natural hair or African American communities might think 4C just generally means curly and thick hair instead of being specific.
Exactly. And ppl always say on tiktok my sisters hair is 4c just because its dry and curly. You can look at the vid i made if u want on youtube.
The video said 'curly' & '4U'. I don't think the person thinks they have 'natural' hair (something only black Americans give that meaning to anyway).
