Pop Goes The Country Special Saluting the Webb Family Part 4. Saluting Loretta Lynn, Peggy Lee Wright, Jay Lee Webb, and Crystal Gayle. Also Special Guest Clara Webb. Special from 1976
I seen Loretta Lynn's bus behind a restaurant in Columbus. My girlfriend said, are you really going to knock on the door? I was young so I walked back and banged on the door. Loretta was at the fair but her son Ernie was in there. Ernie, my girlfriend at the time and I drank a Busch Light together. I remember thinking can't you afford better beer? LOL. It was a good memory.
Wow! That was fun to watch! I never saw this video before! A real country voice there! Saw Ernie later on singing with his mom over the years. Met him, too. He’s a character! So funny!
Ernest is a very good looking guy..the dude had/has movie star looks, great face..And how awesome that both Loretta and Crystal became such huge successes. To be born so poor and in the middle of nowhere and to become who they are..awesome !!!!!
I could be remembering wrong, but I'm pretty sure her grandfather was full-blooded Cherokee. But it's been a while since I read that, I could have the wrong info. If anyone knows I'd love to know what tribe he was actually from
Best lookin' family ever!! And yes they have Indian bloodline. Most old people look like animals and prunes even aliens but beautiful Loretta stayed beautiful always and so will her bloodline👍❤️😘
Ernie is so handsome, true country and can carry a tune like it's nobody's business, even when he was just a little boy! Singing "When I hear my children pray" with Loretta!! Aryaone who says he can't sing is FLAT OUT JEALOUS!! And probably poor to boot! Na na na na na✌️
HOW DID YOU GET THIS SHOW, DID YOU HAVE A VCR IN 1976 ? OR DID YOU GET IT FROM A RERUN YEARS LATER ? JUST WONDERING IF YOU WERE ONE OF THE FIRST VCR OWNERS THAT FAR BACK.....
Hi Liz. Just wanted to say I'm one who still have a VCR and some old VHS tapes. I don't use it much anymore but it still works. I taped a lot of good shows with it. My great grandchildren get a laugh out of me asking them to put a movie in to play. They ask if that's what I used in the old days. LOL
Ernest had a troubled life. Many dui convictions 1 of which he killed his best friend and was charged with vehicular homicide in 2004. He also was charged with selling cocaine to an undercover officer. Also charged with participating in a gunfight that left a woman crippled. You know mamas money and name helped him or he'd still be in jail

HE did this song?? i remember hearing this song as a small child. wow!
The Allman Brothers actually did this song..He is just doing a cover..
That's right. They did. Guess he kind of sounds like them.
Doesn't the family have native blood in them?? hence why they have such great bone structure.

@@camh6328 true
@@camh6328 I think you are thinking of Cher.
I think it was from her Ramey side of the family.

Ralph's hair matches his leisure suit 😂
❤
He sure looks like his daddy.
Glenda Clark he looks better than his father
He looks like Loretta and not like Doo at all.
I feel like I just smoked a laced joint and took a couple hits of acid
why hasn't he sued Cathy O'Brien for what she wrote about him?
you what? don't leave me hanging!!!!
Mindspring Yahoo Who is Cathy O'Brien and what did she write about him??
Because it's true. Nobody has been successful in suing her. Truth is truth and sometimes the truth hurts.
He’s very good..what happened to him…?
Hardly the looks of a movie star... and his voice, needs a lotta work... time will tell.
He was ok but he didn't have the talent like his momma
He sure is a good looking young man. To me he looks like a Webb, just like his mama.
That smile looks a lot like Doo.
I don’t think they could’ve been native, Loretta and Oliver both have blue eyes.
@@daltonschlegel7968 Lots of Cherokees have blue eyes when they are half or less
When my friend and I met with Loretta many times, she said they have Indian blood. My great grandma was an Apache and I have blue eyes!
Was it Ernest Ray that sat up in bed and said, " Ah Bullshit" in Coal Miners Daughter?
Why do kids and grandkids of stars think they can ride in on a coattail? Nothing special!
I don't think he was trying to do that. just trying to make it in the
They aren't and you miss the point
Nothing special here...
He ca t sanv

Good looking kid said to here of all his health problems but boy he's a terrible singer 😮
A lot of times talent is not in the DNA. Nothing personal against him but not a natural singer but how many people are?
He looks like her daddy
Looks like his mom great voice
He looks like his Momma....to me anyway.
I saw him with Ms. Loretta once. Real sweetheart just like his Momma!!! I dearly love Loretta Lynn!!!

Good voice.
I love this. Ernie is going to get it from me the next time I see him....that hair has got to go. LOL
He sure is pretty
Love him
and greg just turned over in his grave
Gregg Allman didn't sing or write this song.
Dickey Betts, wrote and sang it
Ernest ray lynn Des was a lot like his mother Loretta Lynn
Underrated gent. If he had been born 20 years earlier, he would have been a household name.
This Lynn family cannot be beat at singing, looks or their turns!!! And I've had a big ole crush on Ernest Ray Lynn for manya yurrs😊🧑🦳
Ernie Lynn!!!❤ WOW!!! I sure do enjoy him,at every age of his life👍He is the best, just as Loretta is also!!
😘
No.....just NO!
Loretta's legacy! Now her grandchildren are keeping her music and memory alive😂
