What a true icon legend Miss Loretta Lynn was she is missed by so many people I'm from Louisiana I definitely got to make a trip and go see Loretta Lynn's country kitchen I just saw her granddaughter on American idol last night
Yes, she was definitely a true icon! I don't watch American Idol but I did see the audition by her granddaughter. I hope she makes it far in the contest.
Thank you For sharing set beautiful place. Loretta Lynn is my hero and was my hero when she was living. I can't believe she passed away. I guess can't believe it. She Was 2 years younger than my dad. My dad was born in 1930 and she was born in 32. What. A wonderful lady she was. I still miss her. I can't believe I will never see her live again in a concert and watch her wave at all of us. The only way we will see her now is in a video or hear her music or a watch Her movie. I loved her with all my heart and always well and wished that I could go to hurricane meals. I live in Canada. I would give anything to see it. I am visually impaired and I listen to My World. Define out what the world is about and long. Just see Loretta Lynn's ranch more than anything. So thank you for video in what you see. Make it a better world for me and people like me
Yes, she was an amazing woman that lived a long amazing life. At least we do have her music or a video to continue her legacy. Thank you so much for watching!
I totally enjoyed you sharing all of Loretta's life history. She was such a beautiful woman and singer. I love her movie " Coal Miners Daughter movie, watched it many times and love her music ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I grew up listening to Loretta Lynn, she was one of my mom's favorite singer and I also watched The Coalminner's Daughter countless times. Her estate is gorgeous and interesting...R.I.P Loretta and Mooney.
This is a good video. Been to the ranch and Hurricane mills and going back next week. Great place with great places to see. Love the cabins on the ranch. Loretta Lynn was the QUEEN
You did a great job, I thought. Heaven sure gained, a beautiful singer, when Loretta arrived. Coal Miner's Daughter, is one of my all time favorite movie's, right up there with Gone with the Wind, and Fried Green Tomatoes. I found your channel looking for interviews with Loretta after I watched an episode of " A Haunting", or at least, I think, that's what the show was called; wherein, Loretta, and her Hurricane Hills home were featured. There were so many spirit's around the place, Loretta, talked for a long time, explaining things, that both she and her family had seen. Loretta told how a big civil war battle, maybe many, had been fought there, where the home was converted to a hospital; and, there was some spirit's from that along with a lady in white, who's baby had died. Pretty interesting stuff. But, Loretta, told how her mama was visiting once, and they were down by some water on the property, when her mama, told her one of her children would drown there. She told her mama all her children could swim, so that not to worry about it; but, Loretta was bothered by it. Sometime later, I don't know how much later, she was in the hsp somewhere in ICU, very sick, when Doo came in, and she said, "OH!" (Happy) You've come to see me." But, he had come to tell her their son, Jack, had drowned. He was riding a horse, and she said, the horse got spooked, had thrown him, and she thought the fall knocked him out, else he'd a been ok; but, he did drown. Very interesting show. If you love Loretta, look it up. Again, you did a great job with this❤
Thank you so much!!! I have heard that the old plantation home is "haunted" but I guess with good friendly ghosts? If you can visit Hurricane Mills sometime you definitely should but again thank you so much for watching!!!
@rockytoptraveler I own and operate a 34 year old custom mill, Fox Hollow Wood Works, where we make cystom mouldings: crown, casing, base, curved stairs, regular stairs, ship lap, wainscoting, etc. You name it, we make it. We're in KY, too; but, you're video was good, I feel, as if, we've already been! We're in KY, but do plan on going to see it. Thanks again!
We went to visit Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in July, I loved her Plantation Home,Museum, the store, her Boutique, the Mill, Hurricane Mills is a beautiful little place!!
Hey, that's cool i went there back in 2007. Coming back from floridadoing hurricane work for telephone. Me and my best friend stopped in there. Spent the day Loretta was home at the time. We went to the first house. The one the commercial was filmed with Dolly Parton. As soon as I went in, I had a major flashback of when I was a little kid. Watching this commercial on tv it was kind of spooky. Deja vu Thing There's a graveyard and too it's awesome😊
Yea, it's a really nice place...would've been awesome if you could've met Loretta. There is a family cemetery around nearby but is off limits to the public. Thanks for watching!
They have added so much more stuff to her museum since she passed away. She must have had a ton load of that stuff in her house. Oh my!! Thanks for the tour. Haven’t been back in 7 years
Loretta Lynn's grew up in butcher holler pantsville Kentucky.. it's in her songs. Chris Stapleton. Also grew up in pantsville Kentucky. Also Tyler Childers
Thank you for the thumbs up for one I had comment it on set me an alarm to me like i said if i could get to that ranch. I would go because I've long to see a place that I have admired all of my life. She always told people to be kind loving caring and to be true to themselves. As well as others also told people how much she loved them and I. Believe it with all my heart, you know, not all people understand lorentalyn. Not all people understood that even though she came from a poor family. She did not forget where she came from. She always remembered where she came from and she never was any different than what she would have been if she had not a better singer. Her husband had a lot to do with what she did. I need watch. I'm sure happy about what she had done. Even though he had a lonely time without her home, she was meant to be a singer and she would meant to be who she was. And no one should ever take her place. I sing on Facebook on her official website. So if anyone here would like to see what I do on Wednesday night? It's called Mary's memories of Loretta Lynn. And that's what I do I sing on the radio and site called Loretta Lynn's official site and I. Sing on Facebook, I am blushed and do not ask for nothing. I do not take nothing and people should not take my videos and use them in any way but to share just to share the love. At what loretta lynn gave us thanks again for your thumbs up

I visited the place 3 days after you after a Nashville trip. Unfortunately it was on a day the museums were closed, however the visit was still so worth it. Such a beautiful peaceful place. Can’t wait to return ❤
Love your videos.I know Loretta Lynn owned Hurricane Mills and lived there.Later years she may not have lived there..I'll always remember a staircase where she had her albums on the wall on the left as you walked up the staircase on the left as you walked up..One thing she did have is common sense...
It makes me cry when I see some of this stuff. Because it meant so much to her. I hope they take good care of it. I really do I hope that her legacy and all this stuff will be well taken care of by her children and grandchildren. My father died in the summer time and he liked Loretta and 2. He was born in 1930 and she was born in 1932. My dad almost made it to 93. He set 92 when you died. The boss of them met the world to me. Loretta Lynn would like a big sister to me. And a lot of people like me. No one would understand why even though i'd never met her in person. No one understands why she meant so much to me. I think it's because of being visually impaired. And because I love music so much. People with a big old challenge seem to be more sensitive to music than anything. And that's me. I have been sensitive to music all of my life. I pay attention to the lyrics and understand I understood Loretta Lynn. I don't know why but I did. Even though she is so much older than me, she made me feel important. I think it's because of what she would say. I know when I saw her show on TVA few years ago. When she did the song, I can't hear the music. She said don't ever forget your dreams. Don't ever lose sight of the dreams that you have. My dreams are to see her wrench. I hope we someone would be kind enough to get me close enough to see things. My way where I went to school. We were allowed to touch the stuff in the museum. I understand in a real world. We're not allowed to those about who are blind and visually impaired. We don't get to touch things and on regular museum. But we did where I went to school. That's too bad. There isn't a way for us to feel the beautiful things. People in the world take seeing and site for granted because they could see the world. Can you see it clear that was about to? Can't? No one understands it. It's like we are left in the world where we are different. No one understands we are just like everybody. Just can't see the world properly. Does it make sense to you? My dear friend? I'm proud of people like you. I often want someone to. Tell people what things look like and read things to me and people like me. I know it's hard to do because it's a huge museum and you wouldn't be able to read every sign. And every single note that is in the museum. I wish the world would take the time for us and help us see the world like you see it. Does it make sense to you? I wish people would just have a big heart for us and understand but if not fun being different and having challenges challenges. I face everyday. I wish I didn't have to. I'm sure if Loretta Lynn would have met me. I know I wouldn't got the biggest hug in the world. I know she would've tried to tell me what horror world was like. I saw the movie and was able to get close enough to my TV to see. But if not the same as actually being in a place like this. Please continue to make these kind of videos. A place for people like me so that I could feel that I am a part of it. When you feel like you are not a part of something. It hurts big time. And that's the way I feel in this world today. People like me get lost and left aside. I hope people know that's when they read this. How painful it is for people that are challenged to have a world like yours. You have a world where you can just go carefree. I'm doing a thing that you may not realize you take for granted. Thanks again. I just I said for showing this to me in other people. Thank you. It means a lot to me.
I thank you so much for writing me and letting me know what this means to you. I may never know what it's like being visually impaired but thank you so much for talking to me and telling me things I would never know or understand! Thanks again and please stay in touch!
I got to visit Loretta Lynn's ranch about 5 or 6 years ago. It was Nov. 3rd on my birthday. My husband surprised me by taking me there at Hurricane Mills. I've been wanting to go for a long time. They wouldn't let me make any videos inside the house or her museum back then, but I've seen where they aloud some people to film inside the house a couple years ago. I don't know why they got to and we didn't. It really doesn't matter though. I still enjoyed it so much. It was only my husband and I and one other couple that was touring that day. I guess it was because they were fixing to close for the holidays. You are right....there's a lot to see in her museum. Somethings I knew what it was and somethings I didn't. I kinda wish they had a tour guide to explain a little more about what some of the items are and maybe tell a story behind how or why she has it in her museum.😉😊 Loretta Lynn will always be one of my favorites and I'm gonna miss her. Thank you so much for sharing your video with us. I love it. 💜💜💜
The only thing that could be thought of as her childhood home at Hurricane Mills is the reproduction of the cabin from her birth place in Butcher Hollow Kentucky that she had recreated on her ranch. It is a recreation of the house she was born in.
I wish somebody would take a picture of themselves standing on the step. That says Loretta Lynn, you see, that's what I wanna do I want to stand on that stuff that says loretta lynn. Look up at the sky. And thank god for that beautiful woman
Loretta’s assistant is the one who designed the whole museum. He was the one that led her to and off the stage when she played concerts. So much history in the museum and the whole ranch. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
@@rockytoptravelerI grew up in waverly, the county seat of humphreys co. and went to school with Ms. Loretta's twins (Peggy & Patsy). I worked on the ranch in the summer of 1980 giving ppl trail rides. My parents helped her set up her campground back in the 70s. The gentleman that you called her "hairdresser" was actually her longtime dressmaker TIM COBB!!!. He made all her gowns from 1982-2022. He died on march 13, 2023, 5mo after Loretta. Those of us that knew him know it was of a broken heart after losing Loretta, no matter what anyone else says. Also, her father worked in van leer, ky. Her home Butcher Holler was a "suburb" (on the outskirts) of van leer which is near Paintsville. I say all this not to be a smarty pants but to let you know the REAL truth. The whole county of Humphreys benefits from her having lived there. But none so much as Waverly, that over 40% was wiped out by a horrific flash flood on Aug. 21, 2021. 20in of rain in 24hrs fell and killed 20 including a set of 7mo old twins and Loretta's longtime ranch foreman Mr. Wayne Spears. It flooded over 700 homes including my granny's and caused over $100m in damage. She stepped up to help by having a fundraiser at the Grant Ole Opry on Sept. 14, 2021. "Hometown Rising" raised right at $1m for the ppl of Waverly for recovery efforts. I'm just trying to give credit where credit is due, if not for her and the awesome ppl of Humphreys co. my home town would not have been able to recover. All 3 schools, Waverly Elementary, middle and High school had major flood damage. That devastation is hard to come back from. Thanks to Ms. Loretta and all she did to help our county citizens by giving them jobs on her ranch and helping after the flood. ❤😢 R.I.P. Ms. Loretta and Tim.
Her childhood home still stands in Butcher Hollar, her family gives tours. Rumor has it, her home place may be made historical landmark, if our Governor Andy Beshear signs. She is one of the most famous Kentuckians. Her cousin is Patty Loveless
Yea I'm sorry I made a mistake on where Butcher Holler is. For some reason I always thought it was WV. I knew her home place is open for tours but didn't know her family gave the tours and it absolutely needs to become a National Historic Landmark!!! I also didn't know her a Patty Lovelace was related. Thank you for watching!!!
What you called a plow is a cultivator. What you called a grinder is a corn sheller , I have a black hawk corn sheller. Looks just like the one you showed!
How is it that there were no others around in the museum while u we’re recording? I would think it would be busy? Did u have a private tour or something? It just puzzles me but Thanks for sharing I enjoyed seeing everything I am told that she Never threw anything away
It was a Friday and during the time I went through the museum a lot of people went on the house tour so I guess I just lucked up being one of the few people in the museum at that time. Thank you for watching.
It probably has to do with they are fixing to close for the holidays too. When I went Nov. 3rd a few years ago there was only one other couple there with my husband and I. They told us you just got here in time. They told us they close down for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Maybe that's why too. 🤷♀️😉👍❤️
I had just been there this week. I spent four days there. And end the museum there was hardly anybody there there might’ve been four or five people tops the entire time I was there I was Surprised . And that was each day just sometimes or might’ve been three people because it’s an absolutely beautiful set up in that museum.
@@rockytoptraveler my comment was directed at @jamiemark3418. I consider that comment by that person to be snarky and uncalled for. They could have corrected the mistake without being rude about it.
The fella that made her dresses. His name was Tim he died last year. Just after Loretta, Lynden, did he took care of her museum and took care of the grounds up the estate? So his name was Tim beautiful man.
Curious to know if the home she and her husband lived at in either Blaine or Lyndon Washington is still standing. I actually live about three hours away.
I think that they should like people. Film me inside at a home as long as they're not filming. Certain parts that don't need to be filmed so the blind invasion. Parent can understand what a home looks like. We can't see it in a picture very well. It would be nice if they could do that just for people like us even if they could send just off the picture or video. Off the home so that we could see it. I would love it to be exclusive for all people of every kind of disability so that we can be a part of this. But thank you for what you are filming. Hope you don't mind me writing. But this means a hack of a lot to me.
I wish they would allow filming in the house also but at least we get to take pictures. I don't mind at all you writing...I may not see til the next day but absolutely comment on things!
Yea, I wasn't able to see grave either but I thought it was part of the tour but wasn't so I found a pic of headstone on internet...I figured since I said I would show the grave and wasn't able to that I should put a pic of the headstone up. However, the family cemetery is somewhere on the property but wouldn't tell me where.
@@rockytoptraveler Thanks for the reply. I thought maybe they added it as part of the tour. When we was there we ask and the tour guide said she didnt know where the cemetery was. We figured it was soon after her passing they didnt want people there yet. Be nice one day if they allowed fans to vist her grave. Awesome video :)
Nyje way to west virginia google shit i drove my ,grandmother to blue field once a year she was the oldest of thirteen kids we had a blast dhe always wanted to tell retta she was coal miners duster too
All I know Loretta is buried next to her husband Mooney or Doo. Loretta never allowed fans access to the cemetery which is on a hill somewhere on her property She kept it hidden from the public. Also Loretta's son Jack Benny and her oldest daughter Betty Sue who both preceded Loretta in death are buried There too near Loretta and Doo. Loretta said in her book the Cemetery is off limits( with a gate around it) to everyone except family. I imagine her surviving 4 children will continue to keep it private. I just visited my own Mom's grave Yesterday she died almost 7 years ago. I understand the family keeping it off limits to fans and tourists.
End, don't forget delete taxi climb. It's hard to believe that next week Pat to climb date anniversary on 5th of March when she was killed in the plane crash and 1963 and Hank Williams senior died. On January the first 1953. End, I remember them. It's hard to believe Ernest. Tav and many otters are gone too. The granddaughter opera will never be the same without them. The world itself will never be the same without these order. Singers that made music what it is. I don't understand a lot of today's music at all. My hearing it not perfect. And my side is not perfect but when I hear a song. I know how it sounds. I believe very good and everybody. And all these people represent it in this museum are people that loved Loretta. Lynn, as much as she loved them. So I think at a late patchy climb. I think at a big bopper. I think Randy he's and many others and I forget the other 2 people name. So forgive me for that it's hard to believe
I'm planning on going to the location where Patsy Cline's plane crashed because it's just about an hour and a half from me. Also, I plan on doing some other graves and the ones that was in the plane with her are buried in Nashville. She is buried in Virginia so it may be awhile before I can visit her grave.
Yeah my apologies I have to call this dude out..... van Leer is outside of Paintsville Kentucky not West VA.! The fire truck still runs! Just hasn't been moved. And the house she passed in was not the antebellum mansion. It was her newer house behind it. I think this dude needs to look up and have another history lesson!
I have been there it's awesome
Yes it is... thanks for watching!!!

I love it. 💜💜💜
Absolutely, thank you for watching!
Thanks for the video! I visited her ranch and restaurant back in 2007. Loved the museum the best! It's gotten fuller since I was there last! 😄
Thank you so much!
😅was here back in 1992 was a beautiful place there is more there now , was great
Thanks for watching!
It would have been nice if they could have done this with Conway home. (Twitty city). I would like to go here one day.
Yes I agree...it would be really nice
Thank you for the video, I believe Loretta grew up in Kentucky not West Virginia. Van Lear, Kentucky.
Yea, that was a big mistake on my part... thanks for watching!
The only thing that could be thought of as her childhood home at Hurricane Mills is the reproduction of the cabin from her birth place in Butcher Hollow Kentucky that she had recreated on her ranch. It is a recreation of the house she was born in.
Thanks for watching!!!
When I was a teenager I shelled a lot of corn for our animals. We had 30 acres of dried corn. It feed the animals all the next yi.
30 acres is a lot of corn...y'all ever make moonshine? Thanks for watching!!!
I wish somebody would take a picture of themselves standing on the step. That says Loretta Lynn, you see, that's what I wanna do I want to stand on that stuff that says loretta lynn. Look up at the sky. And thank god for that beautiful woman
I never even thought about getting a selfie on the stairs...if I go back sometime then I'll definitely have to do that!
When I went in the 90's the museum was in tge grist mill
Only thing in grist mill now is another gift shop...thanks for watching.
I had tickets for her memorial service and couldn't go I had Covid.
Oh man, hope you can visit sometime. Thanks for watching!
Her home is in Van Leer, KY not WV though we would’ve loved to have had her for a resident ❤
Yea I made a big mistake... thanks for watching
That boss was in the movie called miner's daughter. I recognized the way it looks pretty sure it was in the movie
Ok, I wasn't sure
Thankyou for the wonderful tour.
New subscriber.
Thank you!
Loretta’s assistant is the one who designed the whole museum. He was the one that led her to and off the stage when she played concerts. So much history in the museum and the whole ranch. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for watching.
Tim Cobb was her dressmaker
@@Duckcin , that's right. 😉👍Didn't he pass away too not long ago? He also is on the film they made about Hurricane Mills being haunted.
@@bonniebrown6960 2022 he passed
R.I.P. Ms. Loretta and Tim.
It takes corn off the cob. Dried corn. You can use it to plant or feed the animals. Like horses, cows, pigs and chickens.
I kinda thought that's what it was but wasn't sure...thanks for letting me know
Her childhood home still stands in Butcher Hollar, her family gives tours.
Oh ok, thanks for the info and thanks for watching!
Common folk lol
Puzzled that's hilarious 😂
Most are smoking meth Round here that is also why you don't see many
Is the old house still there ? I always thought it was gone.
Yes the old plantation home is still there...that is what you can tour...thanks for watching!!!
No pictures of Loretta and Dolly Parton ? Wonder why ? Or Pasty Cline either ?
It was mostly her and her family but definitely would've been nice to have seen some pics of her and Dolly or Patsy or Tammy. Thanks for watching!!!
Loretta Lynn childhood home Is in Kentucky not in West Virginia .It is in Van Leer KY on Butcher Holler.
Yes, that is a big mistake on my part...thank you
Loretta Lynn childhood home is NOT in West Virginia it's in Van leer Kentucky do your research
Yes, that was a mistake on my part...thanks
@jamiemark3418. Lose the snarky attitude. You could have made your point without it.
No attitude, I'm admitting it was a mistake and thanking you for telling me and watching
@@rockytoptraveler my comment was directed at @jamiemark3418. I consider that comment by that person to be snarky and uncalled for. They could have corrected the mistake without being rude about it.
Omg he made a mistake.
Drove by there. Never went in.
You should go sometime...you live around there or was just traveling through?
I drive by there on my way to Clarksville to see my brother a few times a year.
Your not missing anything ,just keep driving its a dump out here
The fella that made her dresses. His name was Tim he died last year. Just after Loretta, Lynden, did he took care of her museum and took care of the grounds up the estate? So his name was Tim beautiful man.
Ok, yea he did a lot for Loretta.
His name was Tim Cobb. I saw an interview Emmy did on Biscuits and Jam and she said Tim died two months after her Memaw.
Loretta Lynne's childhood home is in Vanleer Kentucky not West Virginia.
Yes ma'am...that was a bad mistake on my part
Curious to know if the home she and her husband lived at in either Blaine or Lyndon Washington is still standing. I actually live about three hours away.
That I don't know. Thanks for watching!
Where abouts is the cemetery where Loretta is buried? We was there last nov couldnt find it and wasnt offered on the tour
Yea, it would be nice if the public can visit someday...thanks for watching!
Im surprised they dont have a special section for lorretta and patsy
Nope, they sure didn't. Thanks for watching!
She was actually born in butcher holler, ky. Not West Virginia. Her old home place is in eastern Kentucky
Yea, I made a big mistake. Thanks for watching!
Wasn't she in a tv special episode several years back when she went into a discussion about, I believe, that home being haunted?
I'm not sure but it is supposedly haunted. Thanks for watching!
Do any of her children operate these places? I think one of the twins runs a place around Butcher Holler
I don't think so but I'm not sure. I would think they would have some part in it but I honestly don't know. Thanks for watching!
She lived in Kentucky brother
Yea that was a big mistake on my part.
loretta's home place is butcher hollor in vanlear kentucky. not virginia
Yes, big mistake on my part! Thanks for watching.

Thanks for watching!!!
Yeah he did more then fix her hair or make her dresses . He built that museum and was a live in companion after her husband passed away
Thanks for the info and thanks for watching.
I’m pretty sure her home wasn’t in Wet Virginia as stated in the video.

Where is she buried? They said in the tour it was a private cemetery.
It is..I thought we would see it but didn't so I just put a pic on video from internet.
To the UA-camr/created of this video, do you know who Crystal Gayle is to Loretta Lynn???
It's her younger sister
I've. Always. Know. Her child hood home. Was. In. Kentucky.
Yes it is...I made a bad mistake... thanks for watching!
Butcher hollow was Kentucky not West Virginia.

Yes sir it is. Thanks for watching!
loretta's family home is in Kentucky, not west Virginia
Yes, that was a Big mistake on my part
Need do dolly parton mom dad grave yard
..
Their graves are on the list...thanks for watching
If Loretta's original home is still standing, it's in Kentucky, not West Virginia.
Yes, it is still standing and it is in West Virginia...that was a mistake on my part. Thanks for watching!!!

Wow, look at that estate, that mansion. That hillbilly Mooney sure got lucky when he met up with her, didn't he.
He absolutely did! He hit the jackpot for sure!!!
Ok my dude, I did make mistakes in the video and I acknowledged them in previous posts...it was my second or third vlog but hey thanks for watching!!!
