I really love your videos. I feel like I have learned more watching your videos than I have from the 2 sewing classes I attended and the countless hours of UA-cam videos ive watched. Keep em coming!
Your videos are so informative, I have learned something new on all the ones you have made. They are clear and easy to follow without a lot of blah, blah, blah in between. Thank you so much!!!
Thank you so much for this. I have tons of narrow foe bought in a moment of madness. I had no idea what it’s for so it’s been sitting in a drawer. Now I can use it 😀😀. Thank you!
we needed this badly. I'd like to see how to do fold over elastic on a pantie leg. where to start and how to end. Do we have to cut away the seam allowance also on them? Should we over lap it if it already have a circle?
Your tutorial is really exceptional! Good camera, clear explanation, not hiding anything :) I thank you for that Sorry if you've mentioned it but I don't remember you did, which needle type did you use? I'm guessing 'super stretch'. I used super stretch because it seemed to make sense but I often got the needle stuck in place going up and down unless I applied some pulling force while sewing :/ I had no such issues with super stretch lycra without the FOE.
Hi I just have a question I'm using fold over elastic on swimsuit fabric and it's making the fabric wavy... I guess it's called puckering... And what do you think this may be? my triangle tops are looking fine but when I try to make a halter top and I go around the ribs it's completely wavy in ruins the entire piece. When I put regular elastic on it it works. So I was like ok I'll just fold the elastic over this elastic and it's puckering again. It's something I'm doing with the fold over elastic...
I am soooo happy I found your channel. I am learning a lot. Thank you very much. I have a question: I would like to purchase a mannequin. Can you give me advise in which is best? Thanks
+Ellen Gamel What is a stretch stitch? How can a stitch stretch? Just use a regular stitch but lengthen it to around 8 or 10 stitches per inch. Works great. Peggy
Same way on anything you are doing, you have two choices, either make the circle or include it in the seam....both ways are done on any finish and yes, cut the seam allowance away. Peggy Sagers
I truly love your tutorials. I have learned so much from you and I thank you for that. Unfortunately, I couldn't watch the whole tutorial. At the risk of sounding ungrateful, your camera person made me motion sick, so I couldn't watch much.
Thanks for the great tutorial, can you please tell me where you bought the white FOE? It's lovely and light weight. I've used Mokuba lightweight FOE before but hard to get hold of. I finf most FOE's to be very heavy, too heavy for tshirts.
I love your tutorials. But I want to see more close up of you sewing , sometimes your pointing at details I can't make up on my iPad . I think all sewers enjoy seeing each other sew. Can you have another camera that show us close up and not speed up when you sew? It's not boring to me, trust me, it's relaxing and this is how we all learned. Please show us binding with 11/2" binders no with self fabric. I have tons of this elastic and I'm not crazy about it. It's too narrow. I rather use the same fabric as the shirt or something that color block it if I did that somewhere in the pattern.
I look up and forward to your tutorials. I've been sewing forever but I love learning. I wish I was that motivated it in school. Lol But in my time they didn't show us nothing but hand embroidery on a small apron. :( I learn everything on my own
Just found you tonight- 7/27/24.....subscribed immediately...... I'm new to FOE.... I'm so excited.....thank you so much
FOE keeps showing up all over the place lately...nice to see a tutorial on some good uses for it!

Thanks so much for your video. I've been putting off using my knits because of the necklines. Now I can sew them. Your ideas are fantastic!

Those tips are very helpful my dear. Thanks much.
Maybe I missed it but what stitch are you using, what kind of thread, and what kind d of needle? Do you have to do a stretch stitch with FOE?

Very concise. Easy to follow tutorial. Thank You

Very informative, thank you!!! Great teaching!
great tutorial. I've never heard of FOE so I will try it! Thank you.
I love those 'half body' mannequins that you use. Where can I purchase one?

Thank You for that tutorial.
Thanks. Very well explained!!! God bless!
Excellent vedio.
Thank you.
Thank you very much for your video.
Can you do zig zag stitch on the foe? So that way you don’t have to stretch as you go?
Hi are you using a straight stitch or narrow? Thank you
Be nice if you would use light color material, the dark is hard to see what your actually doing, but explained well
I am soooo happy I found your channel. I am learning a lot. Thank you very much. I have a question: I would like to purchase a mannequin. Can you give me advise in which is best? Thanks
Rosa Caamano I do not have a recommendation on this, I am sorry.
Do you not need to use a stretch stitch with FOE?

I really enjoy all your tutorials; I live in Belgium; I can't seem to find fold-over elastic over here; does it exist only in the US ?
Christine-Hélène Huysentruyt excellent tutorial

Can you use the FOE method on woven or just stretch fabric?
I have been told you can use it on woven fabric. But don't stretch it as you sew it.
Both woven and knits....
thank u for the video
Thanks for sharing!!!!
Thanks :-)
Good teaching but your video is blurry up close.

Great tips. The videographer needs a bit more experience though.
Camera person - auto focus!!
Actually, the problem WAS auto focus.
