the interior and features alone as a first luxury car definitely gives it its value , the fact that it keeps going down is because the majority of peoples interest has shifted and that is ok , I own a 016 model and trust me it still turns heads.
Just FYI historically the seats in the S Class Coupe were magnesium framed which were horse hair padded then they switched to Amazonian Coconut Husks, I don't know what they were using in that generation but there's a reason those cars cost so much and the attention to detail in them is other worldly.
I believe the reason why right-hand-drive S63s (and RHD S-Classes in general) weren’t offered with 4Matic AWD like the left-hand-drive cars was because of engineering and packaging constraints with the right-hand-drive steering rack and the front driveshafts to the front wheels on the 4Matic versions.
I own the 2020 S-Coupe; had the 2015 prior and saddened that Mercedes-Benz has canceled the model as of 2022. I’ve not found anything that feels as good to drive so I’ll hold on to my 2020 or find a low miles 2021 but I doubt I’ll ever drive anything else.
love your reviews. such a great guy. as an owner of one of these who has had the good fortune of owning many of the world's great cars, I have to say it is truly the best overall balance of everything you could want in an automobile.
Yes. I was lucky and got one with very low mileage that had been babied (17k miles). No issues whatsoever - had an oil change done when I received the car and had my mechanic go over it - no concerns. I would buy it again, especially with Merc moving away from the V8. I hope you find one for yourself - phat, smooth cruiser that can turn into a beast when you are in the mood.@@kigzman1745
Mmmmm. Would be nice to see more of the car. I’d show more and do some voice overs. Not saying I hate looking at you for ten minutes, but I do want to see the car too :)
Just started my career this year hoping to realistically get this car in 5-10 years. In my country this car cost as much as a really good house for the 2020 models. Don't know would be stupid to get this car when I could just get a house instead
I currently drive a Porsche Panamera turbo but these Mercs are such good value, the Bentley Gt V8s just beats it for me due to the AWD allowing you to really put the power down. Pity we dont get 4matic Merc S class coupes in the Uk
S63 is 4 wheel drive in the UK . Not sure what you mean matey. My 2016 5.5 litre S63 is 4 matic . It doesn't have 4 matic badge in the side but it is 4 matic indeed. I didn't know S63 existed without 4WD. S65 indeed is RWD. Cheers
A big elephant in the room is the reliability and repair costs. The standard S's are notorious for having everything tightly packed in during assembly so virtually any repair requires a ton of labour
I own this exact car, have had it for a little over two years. I use it as my daily. Other than wear and tear items like doing brakes and tires, I have spent approx $1000 of fixing random small issues. So in my experience so far, very reliable. Just over 100K on mine right now. All of the interior materials still look brand new
They must be smocking a lot of cracks at the Mercedes headquarters. Why did they get rid of the most beautiful they had ? Nothing they have now can compare.
Oof this video did not age well. The depriciation of this car is brutal you can get a decent sample today for around £30k ish. I am interest in this car but the depriciation haunts me
I had to pay a bit more, but got it with only 15k miles and not a single chip on it - I dont think it was ever on a highway. And it lived... in Beverly Hills, CA. Seriously. That's the sort of car these things are.

💯💯
Plus it’s Mercedes the parts that have been changed to make a 2016 reliable is what makes its value
I will die before my 2017 does. It will live a spoiled life as a weekend cruiser. And I will gently care for it for all my days.

Would you recommend it as your first luxury family car? Does it have enough space in the back seats?
@@rippedkodiak the back seats are ok for kids, but not really adults, I’d go with a full size S-Class for family.
@@Mytreecare Thought so too. Thank you 👍

Great video, bro!
Nice video Jamie lad. 🙌🏼
These seem like such good value!
I can see you are feeling fortunate to actually be in this car. But you can’t beat the Mk 5 ST!
I love AMG cars. Perhaps a CLA45 or a C43 in the nearish future. But the S63 is stunning inside & out and a pure beast too. Great review
Have you seen the new e class 2024 ? I think E class is the future
