A note about the wrapped manifolds: I am fully aware that this increases the chance of rusting on the metal due to excessive heat buildup and moisture being trapped in the fiber. However, after much research with this particular plyable wrap, the pros outweighed the cons and since it will be under a cover or in a garage most of it's life, direct moisture exposure should be dramatically reduced. The engine compartment temperatures are MUCH lower causing less strain on the other components. We are monitoring the headers for rust and will be dropping the engine to rebuild the transmission in about a year to fully replace and re-wrap or get sprint headers at that point. Don't worry folks, we already know of the negatives 😊
Brian, How did you get to those header bolts on the front manifold? Underneath or up top? And how in the world did you get a drill in there ? Ouch I have to do 2 of my 3 Fiero's
Oh it was NOT fun, lol. After removing all of the items I mentioned in the video, I needed to shallow right-angle drill to get it drilled out. If you CAN drop the engine, I'm sure that's the better way to do it, lol
Hi, thanks for the video. Appreciated. Keep the Fiero vids coming when you repair / upgrade replace things.. Have a nice day.
I would love to see something on your Opel GT!

I pray you never have to remove the rear exhaust manifold against the firewall...
I indeed had to do that 😁. This was a full re-do of the exhaust system. Wrapping the manifolds meant removing both of them.
