I just got the Dirac and Dirac Delta in those colors!!! Absolutely love the combo in that color way. I found the Dirac in the November and the Dirac delta in December. I picked them up because you mentioned they might be discontinued in one of your live streams lol.
Love this! Im not much of a collector but I'll spend some real money on a nice knife every couple years.. the most recent being a Small regular crk 31. Pretty much my ideal edc knife and I see being satisfied with it for quite a while. Actually my second crk.. first was a small insingo 21 with micarta inlays. Was great but I wasn't really feeling it overall.. I really just wanted a small, plain drop point but the insingo was the only one available locally at the time. It ultimately didn't stick around long and it took me 6 years to get the one I wanted. I have always wanted a nice otf though and the right micro tech is twoard the top of my list. Just has to be the right one.
Recently found my perfect Microtech as well! UTX85, signature series, Carbon Fiber top with bronze apocalyptic treatment and Drop Point blade. Absolute gem! S/N pretty low at 081 too
Nice. I'm looking at utx85 with tan g-10 and bronzed hardware with a s/e blade....looks really good. Honestly what I really want is a Combat in blue with black hardware and dlc tanto or dlc single edge....waiting.
I live down the street from Microtech. It’s really tempting just to knock on the door over there (lightly)and ask for a tour. I haven’t pulled the trigger on an OTF as of yet. Could happen any day.

Hey MC I just picked up one of the similar knives in the same litter LOL 12/2021 S/N 5293. I too thought they discontinued the Dirac Delta but apparently just a updated version mine is a 227-1t and my second choice but I enjoy it just the same I want to get the same except with the D/E Serated. This one popped up on NC blade and I grabbed it. Definitely enjoy the larger ergos.
I've got a question. Do all otf's have a mechanism that stops the blade if it comes into contact with something? Even something like a piece of paper. Or, is it just the cheap ones ?
Of course, as soon as I saw this video I automatically reached for my ultratech Lol mine also has M390 but it's a Tanto blade 😅 which I don't mind so thanks for the inspiration for me to pull the trigger.

They are very attractive but not so practical. The DE blade is pretty bad for EDC. The angle to the spine is very large and this makes them about the least slicey knives you can buy. They can get sluggish even form pocket lint and fail to fire. I don't use mine. Vastly prefer the Bugout or EDC.
Oh yeah! Find the Halo that you want! I have one but it’s kinda boring... thinking about selling it. Cause I’d rather have a Stitch and a Combat Troodon. An it’s just a little to big to carry in a state that say their illegal.. soo I gotta carry the smaller otfs if I ever get busted with on on me.. I’ll just say I didn’t know!!! Lol
Well, I should have chosen my words more carefully. The Deadlock Model C is still far and away the ultimate OTF overall, but it's a custom. The Dirac Delta is probably my favorite profuction** OTF 👍
Personal critique from me... Every time I try to watch a video on this channel, I always see myself skipping more and more time to get onto the subject. Now it got to 2 minutes. And even if I know I maybe missed few initial sentences, I'm certainly not going back. That intro, which is always the same, just kills me.
I have a 1500 knife I use all the time. Thinking something out loud doesn't make it true. What you're really saying is "that knife is too expensive for ME to use"
You don't have to take my word for it. I've got a short of me using it. I hate to break it to ya, but most people who own expensive knives eventually use them. It doesn't have to make sense to you. It's just factually true. Sorry 🤷♂️
"Cutting stuff with a $1500 Japanese Pocket Knife" is the name of the short. The knife is the Rockstead Higo II. I still own and use it... along with many, many other knives. You can look it up and see for yourself, or you can just sit there being dumb and mad. I don't really care.

The bronze wears off easily. I have a ultratech death card and I baby the knife like no other but bronze started wearing super early.

All dual action OTFs have that. Single action OTFs will not stop unless the object overcomes the power of the spring

Regardless of what dagger style blades are made for, most people EDC them for, you know, general utility. You get 2 separate cutting edges.
