It's hard to believe she was only 23 here. She was so much more forthright, confident, and direct than most women her age. She has always been mature and dignified. What a queen
indeed this is very interesting... i wonder if this is an isolated case or if some kind of study can be done to measure whether things have actually changed since then...
Charlotte is a remarkable woman. Even at a young age she maturely offers an alternate perception to what this “insulted” journalist is trying to portray about the movie in question. Charlotte exudes class snd intellect that seemingly frustrates this narrow minded reporter
She has the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. If you could draw up what you thought was the most beautiful woman in the world it would look like Charlotte Rampling.
This is something you would never see today - an actual difficult question that makes the acting person sweat. The Damned is a captivating movie, but Bobbie Wygant is right to point out that it is comically perverse, reflecting more upon the lifestyle of Visconti than the history of the period.
americans are far more prudish than europeeans and yes at that period promiscuity was in a high level so as lack of morals. The film has a certain macbethian and hamletian way of presenting family relations and it had to be all the way.
How wonderful it would have been for her to hold me then when I was 15. Britain's Betty Bacall. The "Damned" refers to that class of people in Germany, the "vons".
the original title of the Film in Italy was "The fall of the Gods" just this mistranslation is sufficient to explain the misinterpretain of its content abroad
Saw here recently in that French short were she gets replaced by CGI insert of another lennial actress in her old films. The end shot when she walks out of the film Studio and is de- pixilated till she disappears.... In recent years Under The Sand and Lemmings were good. In her two Nazi films with Bogarde her face is so innocent 😂

Ugh. I typically enjoy Bobbie Wygant interviews, but not this one. I feel so uncomfortable for Charlotte, and am so impressed by how she responded. I hope in retrospect, Bobbie realizes that she was rude.
But that's the way of things today. People walking out or stamping their feet and holding their ears... when they should be listening, conversing and debating. I agree with Rampling here and it's good that she stayed to make her point well.
Always was an will be a remarkable actress and stunningly beautiful woman
Charlotte is a beauty from another planet, time, whatever... and her voice
One of my boyhood crushes!!!

Everyone back then was more poised and mature and better spoken than today’s young people. Technology has replaced human interaction.

She is my heroine.

Beautiful and with a great personality, gotta love her!
Charlotte's reaction at 2:37 sums this entire interview up.
What a look lol
😂😂😂
Charlotte Rampling was and is regal. I always loved her ,always will.
Gorgeous!!
She might have been the hottest brunette alive in the 70's, or very close second to Raquel Welch

Super intelligent.
She should have asked the interviewer to put her hand in the box

Your point is not true...but americans can't understand that kind of film..
Unfortunately, rape and incest is not restricted to any time period. It's been a constant throughout history.
