- This is a craft room tour. Why would anyone want to see my mess? Well I think I am not the only one who works like this. I am sometimes sad when I see how perfect other people keep their things. Come on now, it's not all real. Nothing is perfect. I believe my mess is blessed.

Johanne! What a beautiful soul u have! Knowing the One who oversees all things is the only key to true success in this life. After dozen and dozens of videos, I just now came upon yours thinking I was going to watch "another" simple craft room tour. Well let me tell u, God had another thing in mind for me, and stopped me in my tracks to message u. Although your room is positively lovely, and I am overly delighted for you - deeper than all of that - is how God used your story (of which I do not know the whole thing) as a testimony for all to see and hear. It's these little nuggets of witness along life's way that God uses to increase our faith and to help us build one another up. All your crafty treasures (which btw I really, really, REALLY LOVE as well) are a gift, and I too am thankful for the abundance for which we all have. Keep your focus on Jesus dear friend! Wow ty so much, as always, I needed that! I have been praying for God to use me! I wrote a book and it seems like it’s just sitting doing nothing, and it took years to finally write it! I see others who are on the best seller list…. I’m not looking for popularity but just to have God use my experience! I wrote because I didn’t want my grief to be wasted on me! Any way, thank you for commenting it has blessed my eyes and heart. Blessings to you and your family!❤️❤️❤️

I'm so glad I found you . I went through the loss of my husband 15 years ago . I went through the same thing you have. One thing sure hit me that you said was you wanted to hurt . You didn't want to be happy . You said you wanted to be sad because you thought of them more . Something like that , but I have moved on also. Thank you for your sweet self . ❤

I can relate with loosing people I love. It takes you to a place you aren't ready to go. It's going thru the grieving process that takes you on a journey where you feel lost, it's getting found, and coming thru that makes you appreciate what life is about. We all need a place to just "be".

Hello Johanne. I came across this video on “bless this mess” as I too am a crafter and enjoy tours of craft rooms. When you mentioned your book “Truth Be Told -a mother’s raw grief” I immediately went to Amazon and purchased it. I have never raised a child or had a child die (I gave up my son for adoption 46 yrs ago (we have a strong relationship today which is a blessing and a long story but a good one) I too am a Christian and a believer in Jesus. Why did I buy your book? When I saw the photo of your son Brad and your daughter Jessica I knew there was a story there and I wanted to know more -to understand. I am only on chapter 5 but I had to find out. I am not even sure what I am trying to say in this comment except perhaps to tell you how much I appreciate to your candor and honesty. I too have gone through periods of doubting God’s goodness and sovereignty. Knowing there are people like you out there just seems to make the journey easier. Anyway long rambling comment. P.S. I never had a dedicated craft room-always used my dining area or bedroom. But I have a nicer space now as I just moved to a brand new apt and I am enjoying setting it up. It is still part of my living room but is bigger and fresher, I also love to make journals. The Lord bless you Johanne. I know your pain and your story is being used for His glory because He causes all things to work together for good to those who love Him.

I’m glad you have a relationship with your child. There is know telling what God can do in our lives. Giving up and taking away it is painful. Yes I keep it real. But I never lose my grip on the Rope Of Hope, Jesus.

I came across you video for the first time today and I am grateful! Thank you for sharing your beautiful story ❤ My word of the year is Authenticity. I am on my life journey to becoming unapologetically me, my authentic self. I am currently in the process of moving my craft supply from one room to another... I have been a "craft supply collector" for couple of years now. Always fascinated with the art but never really got started. so much emotional blockage... However, I have come to a point in my journey that I really want to actually craft (junk journal, journal, mix media, paint all the good stuff). And watching your video really inspired me. First got me in tears but truly inspired me. Thank you so very much. It is not the numbers that matters it is the connection between like hearted people that counts. I’m loving your room. It seems so comfy and loving. I want to try junk journaling. Maybe you can teach me 😉. I lost my husband and mother within three months and I find being in my craft room space is comforting.
Yes go to my junk journal playlist and watch away. Hope you will find some inspiration there and maybe allow yourself some therapy. It starts off slow sometimes but maybe you will find a little sunshine every day. There will always be cloudy gloomy days. I pray you will find peace. Jesus is my reason for hope.

I just found your channel. Listening to you share your journey - your way of managing your grief and sadness - was so comforting to me. I haven't experienced your exact loses but I've had to deal with multiple sadnesses and pains of the heart just the same. So much of what you spoke of - who you are and how you are, your views and what you feel (even back to HS days) - so deeply resonated with me. I couldn't help but to subscribe. That is so sweet. Welcome sister!! You know God loves us all, but we all have different roads to travel and navigate. I call Jesus the rope of Hope in my book for a reason. Loss is grief. My friend had a stroke and he can no longer talk. Just a few words. His wife experiences grief. It’s a daily challenge to push the sad away and be thankful. I had days that I could make the bed after I forced myself to get out of it, and that was my win for the day.

I thought of you today while making a junk journal with my 7 year old granddaughter as I added lace to the front of the cover. I wish I could make covers like you do! Thank you for sharing your craft room and yourself and faith with this community. yes. It's funny how we can take over a space. I think I have at least 50% of Michael's craft stuff in my room. Then there is the ephemera!!!! But so glad you put to good use a room that was probably not being used.
