Thank you sew much! It is my pleasure, to be keeping it real for us real folks! Happy sewing and thanks for watching! More thrifty upgrades are coming soon!
I love seeing people using non-ikea solid white furniture and being creative with what's available to them! My whole sewing room is full of old solid wood funiture that I've aquired over the years. Making use of whats at hand is the way more sustainable than buying all new furniture. :D
Oh I would love to see your space! I totally agree - sustainability is for me! Thanks for watching - Im excited to say that more thrifty updates are coming soon!
I’m disabled and have been forging ahead to have a sewing room. I need a sewing table so I can cut. Keep forging ahead- what U have done so far looks good and functional.
Thank you sew much! I hope both our spaces turn out beyond our wildest dreams! Speaking of a sewing table for cutting…. I just got a FREE one that I will reveal in a future video.
Looking good! Thanks for the vid. That sewing machine is one of the last few good models Singer made in the lat 60's, early 70's. Mid 70's they started making them with questionable materials. Now they are fancy plastic junk. IMHO There is a guy on here named Andytube, who shows how to clean and rejuvinate the old Singers. Look him up so your lovely vintage stitcher can run her best.
Yes, the 50’s and 60’s machines are the ones I keep my eyes peeled for! AndyTube is amazing! He helped me out with my Singer 457 when the vertical top gear needed replacing. Super knowledgeable and nice fellow, that we can learn a lot from!
I was very excited to find your video. I to have disabilities. I had actually given up on sewing, watched you video and became inspired again. My husband even put stair/chair lift in to make it easier. Ergonomics here I come. Thank you so much you have inspired me again. ❤❤❤ Ontario Canada
I am so happy our sewing paths have crossed! Enjoy the lift- oh that sounds amazing! Please keep me posted about your progress, and I’ll do the same. Sewists with disabilities are the most creative, I think!
I just found 3 wooden (folding) snack tables and a stand. Cleaned them up and it’s perfect for ironing while I sew !👍🏼Also, great for snacking while washing TV. Love how your sewing space turned out. I’m struggling with the organization. Greetings from New York City.😃👍🏼🗽❤️
What a fantastic idea, using the snack tables to iron! It’s great when items can be multi-functional. Thanks for sharing this idea with me, and happy sewing! (And ironing)!
Fantastic - I’m so glad it was helpful for you! That’s one thing I love about our sewing journeys - we are always learning. And it’s fun to learn together, isn’t it? Happy sewing! 🧵
Oh what a treat to meet another zebra! I’ll be sending you gentle hug and hope for getting back into sewing again! Or if not, finding some sort of creativity that lifts your spirits! (I’ve had tethered cord release, but not craniocervical fusion yet) Thanks so much for your comment and welcome to the Adventures With Disabilities community!
Totally agree! We have gifts and talents that we may not otherwise have. I know that when I ask someone for help, the act of helping often helps them as well! Sending you gentle hugs and thanks so much for your comment!
Oh that is a bummer! People around here drive their trucks around on trash/recycling night, to load up whatever they find. Wish I had the energy, muscles and a vehicle for that!
Finally a true sewing room makeover for real people. Thank you

lol! That trash can in the corner looked like the tank of a toilet initially to me! 😂
lol! I loved that trash can, but the springs on the lid broke (twice). So now it’s been donated!
Great job honey! I am excited to see what it looks like when you’re done. The body isn’t always willing but the spirit is. God loves you ❤
Thank you so much 🤗 You put it quite nicely!
Looking forward to part 2!
And part 3 now, too! I have a feeling this project may continue on for awhile… 😊 Thanks for watching and for your kind comments!

A cassette of "All Hail the Queen" Queen Latifah's first full length studio album.

Found a little grey kitten who is now a teenage terror of a cat.
Awww - your comment made me smile! Meow! 😸
Too bad, nothing is allowed anymore on the curbside...
