Literally had been sitting here debating on which Ensley Reign palette I was going to buy with Christmas money after hearing so many rave reviews about their palettes. SO glad that I saw this before I made a purchase, I hadn't heard about the controversy and had to look it up. That's a big nope for me.

Theresa! I just have to thank you for being you! You’ve helped me get through so many days this year, which has been really hard on me with my mental health issues. I have major depressive disorder and my meds aren’t working anymore AT ALL. My brain fog is getting so bad that I literally left my truck running for over two hours when I came home from the store a couple days ago. The only reason it didn’t either blow up or run out of gas is because my neighbor noticed and knocked on my door to let me know! I’m just really scaring myself lately. You give me a little escape from all that and make me laugh, which is SO helpful in lifting my spirits on my worst days! So just…thank you! ❤❤
I've gone through a lot of different meds, and I've dealt with all kinds of abuse and crappy psychiatrists trying them out until the past several months. Mirtazapine gets me to sleep. Works for depression, anxiety, and PTSD. It's not perfect, but I can function. That's what I need the most. If I can't get good sleep, it screws up EVERYTHING internally. I don't want this to get too long. I was on 7.5mg, few months later doubled it to 15mg, and I just started 30mg a week ago to see if it does anything different. So it's a testing phase still, but just having a freaking break from my brain yelling at me and my body and feelings just hurting so damn much, it's everything. Good luck ❤

I’ve not familiar with the almost any of these products but I loved your descriptions haha “the emperors new clothes of highlighters” is so good. I actually liked the dae dry shampoo. Well I like how it smells. I agree it’s messy though. But I like not having to worry about running out of aerosol.

Wow! I am seriously shocked. The Caliray specifically in the pink really brightens my under eye. I like the consistency, but probably because I’m 52 and have wrinkles and crinkles. LAURA GELLAR has an under eye primer that is AMAZEBALLS! It creates a shadow effect in my dark under eyes. By shadow I mean it in a good way. That along with the pink Caliray and ELFs pink powder and I look 32 again!
I put Patrick Ta in the same no buy zone as Pat McGrath after he released the blush palette and the formula was different than his singles. This isn’t going in a good direction. I think maybe they sold to a bigger company and now the labs are different so not the same quality. It’s a classic switheroo! No mam, no sir, no more.
i have a high pain tolerance and would use the too faced lip injections every single day for years… ulta beauty clear lip plumping gloss… i actually had to take it off after 20 minutes because i was afraid i would give myself a chemical burn… if you haven’t already, i think you might like this one 💀🤣

I had bought the ER Cold Moon palette and I also had an eye reaction to their shimmers (which was the first time I've ever had a reaction to eye shadows). Which sucked because it cost so much, but yeah, not going to be buying any more of those.
You and Alex are very good together. At least that’s what it seems like on the inter-web. I wish I could trust someone like that. Maybe I just haven’t met the right person yet. Although I’d have to trust someone else to the point I can at least give them a chance and get to know them. The problem I’ve had is when I do find out it’s too late and they are just a liar and I love them.

I’ve purchased my last Natasha Denona pallet till she gets rid of all the glitter crap, used the nudes pallet, it’s beautiful but the glitter fallout on my face that won’t come off. Worst thing I tried this year was the Maybelline build-a-brow. It works so well for Nikki La Rose but I am blonde and their lightest shade was almost black on me. I wore it once in the house just to try the formula before I threw it out, and my partner still has nightmares.
My biggest regret is getting the Victoria Beckham concealer in the wrong shade. It seemed “okay” in store and shade 1 seemed really light but I quickly realized that it oxidizes A LOT. The worst part being that if I had bought it online I could have exchanged it 😅 I also got sucked into that same awful Gucci highlighter but returned it the very next day (I still miss my Nars highlighters).
In defence of the Gucci Sunrise Gold highlighter, it is really good once the top layer has been almost scraped off. I had the same initial experience and thought it was total crap but was determined to persevere (we can't return makeup in the UK) given the £££s. A synthetic brush seems to help too. But longevity could be better, for sure. Seem to work best with a bit of liquid/ creme highlighter underneath.
OMG I am SO GLAD you mentioned the Charlotte Tilbury lip plumping gloss! I was influenced by it on a UA-cam Live from an influencer I really like and I bought it and the pain I felt!! OMG I had to return it asap and this video is the only one who confirmed my experience - everyone else just talks about the Too Faced Lip Injections and I've always stayed away from it so I don't know how the Charlotte Tilbury lip plumping gloss compares to it but I think I am going to stay away from it lol

Some of the products I also bought and used were garbage 🗑️ I don’t know why but I’ve always been that person who feels bad returning makeup and skincare. NOT anymore, I work so hard for my money just like everyone else! I would also consider myself to be a haircare connoisseur and absolutely with Dry Shampoo! I’ve tried them all for the most part! The Daie poofy 💨 fart applicator 💨 out dry shampoo was the worst dry shampoo I’ve ever used! It’s not even a dry shampoo it’s a “I’m going to ruin your hair and make you suffer to get it out” I fully agree with you! The K18 dry shampoo took me a few times to figure out the best way to use it but I do really like it. What is going on with GXVE Beauty? I’m afraid they are going out of business and I really love their bronzer, blush, eye toppers and the highlighter. I never tried the collagen lip product because every review I watched and in the comments said it was awful! Thank you for saving me my time, money and frustration! Patrick Ta has me worried for a few reasons. One not paying his loyal black content creators, I don’t know if you or anyone else watched the video. I was shocked by her experience but also how easy the makeup products broke! We spend a lot of money on Patrick Ta products and now knowing his the packaging is cheap I’m not thrilled about that. There were some huge misses for me this year and I’m not just talking about the makeup. Patricks apology video being up and then deleted with a new video that was exactly the same but he was crying in the one they re-uploaded The highlighters are icky, goopy, slimy make you feel old because it emphasizes all your texture and will lift your makeup! I tried his first highlighter in his Holiday palette last year and it was the same damn thing. I love a lot of his products. I did get a sample of his new foundation and I love it but only for a few hours. After that my skin starts to itch and slightly burn. I do have dry, sensitive skin. I think there’s essential oils in the foundation and one of them doesn’t agree with my skin. I don’t know where the brand is going in 2025! I had always used the Drunk Elephant D Bronzi drops for years but I was also living in sunny California and they worked great. Then I moved to Washington and the bronzing drop game started hard for me in 2024 lol 😂 with the Tarte I looked like I rubbed dirt all over my face and a lot of the other glow drops Or they were patchy and hard to blend. I’ve heard nothing but wonderful reviews and experiences with the Glow Recipe bronzing dew drops. Ensley Reign yeah not okay, not okay at all! shitty shitty! You said everything that I feel! Another year of worst makeup and like you said Wasted time and money! Wasted time that we can never get back! Always so great seeing you and watching you! Hi Theresa, thanks for the video! What makeup did I hate this year? Well, I don't buy much, but I'll go with an LA Colors Mattes eye shadow palette. The 2 lightest colors were usable, and in fact, I did use them up. But the darker colors were impossible because of the fallout. I tossed it.
Just as an FYI thing - the elf foundation is actually good for oily skin people. Not arguing with your experience or being one of those weirdos that gets offended by other peoples opinions of inanimate objects lol just wanted to pass on info in case someone like me, whose skin produces copious amounts of natural oil, was watching. :) lol Hoping your 2025 is wonderful. I was disappointed by the MUFE Wherever Walnut eyeshadow palette. I used to love MUFE eyeshadow, but the formula is different now and doesn’t wear too well on my eyelids or look like anything special. I also hated the UD Face Bond foundation. It just made me look older. The only thing you mentioned that I tried that I actually like is the Hourglass powder. It works well on me for some reason, but I have heard a lot of other people say they didn’t love it.
even with all of Ensley Reign’s recent controversy, I haven’t heard other people talking about eye irritation from their shadows. I wonder if there are a lot more customers who’ve experienced this and just haven’t spoken up, or if it’s just a very rare reaction. very curious what ingredients/formulation might have caused that 🤔
I got the elf camo concealer and will toss the tube now I have a replacement. Been using the YSL touche eclat illuminating concealer for years and got the elf for more coverage. Big mistake. I looked ten years older with bags on bags under my eyes. My skin is very fair and dry.
Hi Theresa! My worst product of the year was the Enko Hyaluronic PH Lip Balm. Both colors are gorgeous to look at, but holy crap, the chemical taste is so god awful. The single multichrome shadows are fabulous. By all means buy those, but I still have PTSD from those damn lip balms and wanted to call poison ☠️ control for real. 😳
If it makes you feel any better, Hannah used the very first ND Glam Face palette (the first one in this format) and is the one she loves so maybe you’re not alone on your opinion with this hyper face palette 😅
The price of CT plumping gloss really shocked me 😱 so it was nice to hear that it's cr*p. Hopefully, the pillow talk will be phased out (gradually) now that she sold the business.
I'm just here to say. I got home from hospital after having severe withdrawal symptoms that put me in the hospital all day for 12 hours. I was vomiting like Blair in the Exercist, hot and cold chills. I had 4 heated blankets on. Anyways I am able to eat and my overwhelm audio overload is gone, and I was hysterically nasty to my love. Damn PUROLATOR, did the worst and delayed getting my meds. I enjoyed Christmas so much then, BAM! This happens. I was someone else. Anyways, sorry if I bored you and wishing everyone a Happy New Year , and please don't drink and drive. Please be safe. I will watch this tomorrow. I am too plucked up to do anything, but keep up hope. 😢❤🎉
2024 was a rough year for me. I had a 2 week stay in the hospital only to be told it was cancer. Now going through chemo but it's hell. I am waiting for surgery to get a few tumors out once they shrink. Honestly every day just sucks. Here's to a better 2025. I am constantly telling myself it could be worse. Makeup is a good distraction rn.

I like the Dior palette but I also like the glitz palette. I’m using the glitter shades on the eyes. But I will say the real best formula is their couture highlighters these ones are so smooth.
I got a GXVE bullet lipstick and had to return it because it smelled so bad. I'm guessing it was rancid. I do think there must be a problem with the brand because it has moved at my local Sephora and now occupies much less shelf space.
I’m sad you don’t like the hourglass powder. It was a blind buy for me but I actually like it, I don’t use it under my eyes but I use it as a touch up.
I genuinely tried the ELF Soft Glam foundation with EVERY single primer I have.. NOPE not working. I also hated (LOATHED) the Too Faced Better than Chocolate palette (it was on sale, I was weak, I regret nothing) - I was like "is this makeup revolution circa 2010? because I see no pigment" *ugh* The Gerard Makeup eye primer makes my eyelids feel like burning, it hurts. Legit inflamed skin for days.
Biggest failure/ letdown of the year for me was the stupid Danessa Myricks lowlighter in Lowkey. I've been wanting an orange highlighter for awhile now as I tend to wear peach, coral and orange blushes frequently and thought this was going to be the answer to my prayers. It was out of stock for what felt like forever; and I was over the moon excited when i finally got it... but then I was crushed with disappointment when it barely showed up, took so much effort AND it lifted my products underneath! I was like oh no! You have to go back! 😢
I don’t know if you’ve tried Bare Minerals’ Endless Glow Highlighter in Joy, but that’s a gorgeous orange/coral highlighter. I use it as a blush topper/highlighter. I have a skin tone similar to Theresa so it’s too pigmented if I were to wear it on its own as a highlighter but I have no problem using it on top of blush!

I did however find a perfect light orange highlighter finally this fall in Glamlite's Halloween 2 release! I love it and wear it all the time! I tried the NYX Duck Plump and I was impressed so I put it in a purgatory basket for months. I pulled it out just last night and retried it... I don't hate it however I don't care for the color I chose so I'm going to use as mixer with other lippies I love the shades of.

I’ve not familiar with the almost any of these products but I loved your descriptions haha “the emperors new clothes of highlighters” is so good. I actually liked the dae dry shampoo. Well I like how it smells. I agree it’s messy though. But I like not having to worry about running out of aerosol.

Wow! I am seriously shocked. The Caliray specifically in the pink really brightens my under eye. I like the consistency, but probably because I’m 52 and have wrinkles and crinkles. LAURA GELLAR has an under eye primer that is AMAZEBALLS! It creates a shadow effect in my dark under eyes. By shadow I mean it in a good way. That along with the pink Caliray and ELFs pink powder and I look 32 again!
I put Patrick Ta in the same no buy zone as Pat McGrath after he released the blush palette and the formula was different than his singles. This isn’t going in a good direction. I think maybe they sold to a bigger company and now the labs are different so not the same quality. It’s a classic switheroo! No mam, no sir, no more.

i have a high pain tolerance and would use the too faced lip injections every single day for years… ulta beauty clear lip plumping gloss… i actually had to take it off after 20 minutes because i was afraid i would give myself a chemical burn… if you haven’t already, i think you might like this one 💀🤣

I had bought the ER Cold Moon palette and I also had an eye reaction to their shimmers (which was the first time I've ever had a reaction to eye shadows). Which sucked because it cost so much, but yeah, not going to be buying any more of those.
I HATED the pre controversy Ensley Reign CRAP Hoppy Go Lucky palette. They will NEVER get my coin again.
You and Alex are very good together. At least that’s what it seems like on the inter-web. I wish I could trust someone like that. Maybe I just haven’t met the right person yet. Although I’d have to trust someone else to the point I can at least give them a chance and get to know them. For me the ELF glam foundation goes on beautifully and makes my skin really dewy. I have mature dry skin so I have to have my dew. lol but, hey we all have different opinions on what works or is goat poo. Hope you and Alex have a wonderful New Year 🎉

Worst thing I tried this year was the Maybelline build-a-brow. It works so well for Nikki La Rose but I am blonde and their lightest shade was almost black on me. I wore it once in the house just to try the formula before I threw it out, and my partner still has nightmares.
I fell asleep this year with brow dye on and scared the crap out of everyone the next day. 😂

My biggest regret is getting the Victoria Beckham concealer in the wrong shade. It seemed “okay” in store and shade 1 seemed really light but I quickly realized that it oxidizes A LOT. The worst part being that if I had bought it online I could have exchanged it 😅
I also got sucked into that same awful Gucci highlighter but returned it the very next day (I still miss my Nars highlighters).
In defence of the Gucci Sunrise Gold highlighter, it is really good once the top layer has been almost scraped off. I had the same initial experience and thought it was total crap but was determined to persevere (we can't return makeup in the UK) given the £££s. A synthetic brush seems to help too. But longevity could be better, for sure. Seem to work best with a bit of liquid/ creme highlighter underneath.
With you on the Elf Soft Glam. Looked great for 10 minutes and then had a breakup rivaling Brad and Angelina😂

OMG I am SO GLAD you mentioned the Charlotte Tilbury lip plumping gloss! I was influenced by it on a UA-cam Live from an influencer I really like and I bought it and the pain I felt!! OMG I had to return it asap and this video is the only one who confirmed my experience - everyone else just talks about the Too Faced Lip Injections and I've always stayed away from it so I don't know how the Charlotte Tilbury lip plumping gloss compares to it but I think I am going to stay away from it lol

I bought a Dior highlighter palette a few years ago and I hated it so much. So glittery and yet barely there at the same time. So much fallout all over my face. Hated it with a burning passion.

I’m so ready for your Worst of Makeup in 2024 and yes you’re mad lol and for good reason! Some of the products I also bought and used were garbage 🗑️ I don’t know why but I’ve always been that person who feels bad returning makeup and skincare. NOT anymore, I work so hard for my money just like everyone else!
I would also consider myself to be a haircare connoisseur and absolutely with Dry Shampoo! I’ve tried them all for the most part! The Daie poofy 💨 fart applicator 💨 out dry shampoo was the worst dry shampoo I’ve ever used! It’s not even a dry shampoo it’s a “I’m going to ruin your hair and make you suffer to get it out” I fully agree with you! The K18 dry shampoo took me a few times to figure out the best way to use it but I do really like it.
What is going on with GXVE Beauty? I’m afraid they are going out of business and I really love their bronzer, blush, eye toppers and the highlighter. I never tried the collagen lip product because every review I watched and in the comments said it was awful! Thank you for saving me my time, money and frustration!
Patrick Ta has me worried for a few reasons. One not paying his loyal black content creators, I don’t know if you or anyone else watched the video. I was shocked by her experience but also how easy the makeup products broke! We spend a lot of money on Patrick Ta products and now knowing his the packaging is cheap I’m not thrilled about that. There were some huge misses for me this year and I’m not just talking about the makeup. Patricks apology video being up and then deleted with a new video that was exactly the same but he was crying in the one they re-uploaded The highlighters are icky, goopy, slimy make you feel old because it emphasizes all your texture and will lift your makeup! I tried his first highlighter in his Holiday palette last year and it was the same damn thing. I love a lot of his products. I did get a sample of his new foundation and I love it but only for a few hours. After that my skin starts to itch and slightly burn. I do have dry, sensitive skin. I think there’s essential oils in the foundation and one of them doesn’t agree with my skin. I don’t know where the brand is going in 2025!
I had always used the Drunk Elephant D Bronzi drops for years but I was also living in sunny California and they worked great. Then I moved to Washington and the bronzing drop game started hard for me in 2024 lol 😂 with the Tarte I looked like I rubbed dirt all over my face and a lot of the other glow drops Or they were patchy and hard to blend. I’ve heard nothing but wonderful reviews and experiences with the Glow Recipe bronzing dew drops.

Hi Theresa, thanks for the video! What makeup did I hate this year? Well, I don't buy much, but I'll go with an LA Colors Mattes eye shadow palette. The 2 lightest colors were usable, and in fact, I did use them up. But the darker colors were impossible because of the fallout. I tossed it.
Just as an FYI thing - the elf foundation is actually good for oily skin people. Not arguing with your experience or being one of those weirdos that gets offended by other peoples opinions of inanimate objects lol just wanted to pass on info in case someone like me, whose skin produces copious amounts of natural oil, was watching. :) lol

I was disappointed by the MUFE Wherever Walnut eyeshadow palette. I used to love MUFE eyeshadow, but the formula is different now and doesn’t wear too well on my eyelids or look like anything special. I also hated the UD Face Bond foundation. It just made me look older. The only thing you mentioned that I tried that I actually like is the Hourglass powder. It works well on me for some reason, but I have heard a lot of other people say they didn’t love it.

even with all of Ensley Reign’s recent controversy, I haven’t heard other people talking about eye irritation from their shadows. I wonder if there are a lot more customers who’ve experienced this and just haven’t spoken up, or if it’s just a very rare reaction. very curious what ingredients/formulation might have caused that 🤔

I got the elf camo concealer and will toss the tube now I have a replacement. Been using the YSL touche eclat illuminating concealer for years and got the elf for more coverage. Big mistake. I looked ten years older with bags on bags under my eyes. My skin is very fair and dry.
Hi Theresa! My worst product of the year was the Enko Hyaluronic PH Lip Balm. Both colors are gorgeous to look at, but holy crap, the chemical taste is so god awful. The single multichrome shadows are fabulous. By all means buy those, but I still have PTSD from those damn lip balms and wanted to call poison ☠️ control for real. 😳

I'm just here to say. I got home from hospital after having severe withdrawal symptoms that put me in the hospital all day for 12 hours. I was vomiting like Blair in the Exercist, hot and cold chills. I had 4 heated blankets on. Anyways I am able to eat and my overwhelm audio overload is gone, and I was hysterically nasty to my love. Damn PUROLATOR, did the worst and delayed getting my meds. I enjoyed Christmas so much then, BAM! This happens. I was someone else. Anyways, sorry if I bored you and wishing everyone a Happy New Year , and please don't drink and drive. Please be safe. I will watch this tomorrow. I am too plucked up to do anything, but keep up hope. 😢❤🎉

2024 was a rough year for me. I had a 2 week stay in the hospital only to be told it was cancer. Now going through chemo but it's hell. I am waiting for surgery to get a few tumors out once they shrink. Honestly every day just sucks. Here's to a better 2025. I am constantly telling myself it could be worse. Makeup is a good distraction rn.

I am so lucky to be here resting in bed while plugging at my, Hello Kitty Lite Bright. It is her 50th anniversary. So funny they did a collab wi5h Care Bears and HK 8s dressed like a Care Bear and a Care Bear as HK😂. 😊❤
I like the Dior palette but I also like the glitz palette. I’m using the glitter shades on the eyes. But I will say the real best formula is their couture highlighters these ones are so smooth.
I got a GXVE bullet lipstick and had to return it because it smelled so bad. I'm guessing it was rancid. I do think there must be a problem with the brand because it has moved at my local Sephora and now occupies much less shelf space.

I genuinely tried the ELF Soft Glam foundation with EVERY single primer I have.. NOPE not working. I also hated (LOATHED) the Too Faced Better than Chocolate palette (it was on sale, I was weak, I regret nothing) - I was like "is this makeup revolution circa 2010? because I see no pigment" *ugh*
The Gerard Makeup eye primer makes my eyelids feel like burning, it hurts. Legit inflamed skin for days.
Biggest failure/ letdown of the year for me was the stupid Danessa Myricks lowlighter in Lowkey. I've been wanting an orange highlighter for awhile now as I tend to wear peach, coral and orange blushes frequently and thought this was going to be the answer to my prayers. It was out of stock for what felt like forever; and I was over the moon excited when i finally got it... but then I was crushed with disappointment when it barely showed up, took so much effort AND it lifted my products underneath! I was like oh no! You have to go back! 😢
I don’t know if you’ve tried Bare Minerals’ Endless Glow Highlighter in Joy, but that’s a gorgeous orange/coral highlighter. I use it as a blush topper/highlighter. I have a skin tone similar to Theresa so it’s too pigmented if I were to wear it on its own as a highlighter but I have no problem using it on top of blush!

I did however find a perfect light orange highlighter finally this fall in Glamlite's Halloween 2 release! I love it and wear it all the time! I’m over 50 with dry skin and I use the Hourglass pressed powder after I use setting spray and it works great. It just melts into my skin.

I tried the NYX Duck Plump and I was impressed so I put it in a purgatory basket for months. I pulled it out just last night and retried it... I don't hate it however I don't care for the color I chose so I'm going to use as mixer with other lippies I love the shades of.
