That is a great idea. I do think it is a lot for one month, but good luck. Looking forward to the progress info. I have decluttered a lot last year for the same reason-I don't need the palettes where I use just 3 shades (no matter how beautiful the color story) when the most of the palette is for example too dark for my soft, low contrast features. Now I am down to 9 palettes that I love (Kaja trio counts as 1 palette for example) and use everything and enjoy everything...plus I don't have old make up anymore which was bothering me a lot....using the oldest stuff to get the use out of it, and then my new makeup gets old in the meantime. Nope...I cherish my eye health :) anyways, can't wait for the update
I agree that it is a lot for one month. It works for people who wear very colourful rainbow looks or who have a much smaller collection. It is useful in getting people to reevaluate their collection and can affect future purchases. When Natasha Denona brought out the Golden and the I Need a Warm palettes, I bought the Viseart Praline Quad which has 1 matte and 3 shimmers to scratch that itch. So 4 shades to pan instead of 30! With her new Mini Eye Sculpt palette, I put my Viseart Neutral Mattes in my No Pan left behind rotation.
I did NPLB for 3 years in a row. I had somewhere between 30-45 palettes each time I did it and generally finished within 6-10 months. I am not doing it this year because I put too much pressure on myself and stopped enjoying my collection fully, but I loved doing it every year I did it
I'm doing NPLB this year too with three palettes while also trying to pan three other palettes. When I'm done with NPLB palettes I'll change them. This year is going to be so much fun!

Good luck! I did a similar sort of thing back in 2019 during my no buy year, I just didn't call it no buy left behind. I honestly think it was my best eyeshadow year! I had so much fun and it didn't get boring. Now my collection is so small that this kind of project wouldn't make any sense. But if my collection grows in future, I would rather do a no pan left behind than any other eyeshadow panning project!
Wow you are starting off so ambitious. I salute you but I have an inkling you bit off a bit more that you can chew. I am also doing a no pan left behind for the first time this year and I only chose 2 palettes to start off with. Can't wait for February's update may luck be on our sides.

I choose which palettes and singles to include each month and set usage goals too. This keeps me from buying new makeuo. That NYX palette looks like a Viseart dupe.
I did a No Pan Left Behind project last year and found that a lot of my palettes didn’t get touched because it takes forever to NPLB larger palettes. I also stopped forcing myself to use certain shades. I hate orange and red shades so I decided to skip those in every palette. Have fun this year!!

I do 100 uses per palette which is slow going. When I consider buying a palette, I ask myself if I could use it 100 times. If the answer is no, I’m not buying it. I know that NPLB wouldn’t work for me because I despise blue, aqua, and green shadows. I do try to avoid buying palettes with those shades but they do pop up in palettes that I like. The fact that Nomad and other indie brands include those colors in almost all of their palettes is why I won’t add them to my collection.

I am also doing a pan that pallete and pan those eyeshadows so it might end up being entirely too much, but I have a relatively small eyeshadow collection (under 300 shades) so i think it will be manageable. Will you be counting any times that you reach for shades in other palettes, say for a special occasion or a look for s video? Or do they need to be rolled into this video to count?
@erintaylorwrites also does a no pan left behind and recently shared her journal and how she documents and tracks her usage which was really cool. Great idea!
I am so excited to see you do this! I just started as well but haven’t figured out exactly how I want to do it and film it. I was wondering how you track your palettes in order to random generate? Do you have an app or an other way of organizing? I know you mentioned Tiny Decisions which I just downloaded so I guess I have my entering work ahead of me and thought I would ask for any tricks of the trade before spending hours typing everything up in case there are shortcuts 🙈😉 That’s my biggest issue! I don’t have my makeup written down anywhere so random generated projects are hard to do and I’m hoping to change that this year.
I believe you can copy paste from a spreadsheet in that wheel sort of app (I'm forgetting it's name) but you have to make that spreadsheet for that (since you don't have them written anywhere)

Awesome idea for a project! I think the purple tones of the Chicago palette will look great on you!
For the Kaleidos palette, you could use some of the bright colors as a wing and then use a more neutral shade on the lid to keep it more lowkey.
