@@juveretrogames Wow! I never thought I would find someone that shares the same opinion as I do. My reasoning behind believing that Chase is overhyped, is that he bullies bad/mediocre offensive lines, but doesn't really do much against the good offensive lines, specifically his last three games of this past season. Especially considering the Clemson game, where he was constantly put on a 1v1 against the tackles(mainly Jackson Carman), and the tackles completely shut him out. Simmons on the other hand, seems to play even better against the good teams. Heck, even in the LSU game where Clemson lost, Simmons was about the only one on Clemson that was actually doing really good. Also, one of Simmons best games for film study is the Ohio State game. I personally think Simmons has a lot more potential than anyone in this draft. Whether he will reach his potential or not is a whole 'nother question, but if he does reach it, he'll be insane. Unfortunately, I don't think y'all will pick him. If y'all don't go with Chase, y'all's fan base might be almost as mad at the staff as ours is right now (Texans fan).
@@NoHaBi02 yup you prettyuch said all I was trying to say lol . But it's true just look at clowney with ya . He was sopposed to be a generational player . he is really really good but it took in my leased year 2 3 him to really figure the game out. him and JJ Watt with supposed to dominate and it didn't happen like it was supposed to. people asking for young they just don't know anything about football really not that I know anything but I know a little bit. But don't get me wrong young has all the tools to become a great player . Unfortunately by that time it's probably time for him to get paid. But then again maybe I'm wrong then he comes in balls-out year one. But Simmons in the other hand he's going to be an impact player from day one. He reminds me of Ryan shazier. Man I have my fingers cross
@@juveretrogames Exactly. Obviously none of us know what is going to happen to these players in the future, but we can still assume based off of what we've seen from them. I believe Chase will be a good player, possibly even a great player, but I don't think he has the insanely high ceiling that Simmons does. Good comparison with Clowney as well. Like you said, Clowney was really good, but no one thought he would just be "really good" before he was drafted. Everyone thought he would be one of the best defensive lineman we've ever seen. Either way, whatever y'all decide to do, good luck with it. Y'all's front seven is already nasty (the good kind of nasty) and the addition of either of these players will most likely make it even better, so we'll just have to wait and see. It's most likely still going to be a win-win for y'all. Us on the other hand, we're stuck with possibly the worst coach/GM in the history of football. Billy O gotta go.
I just hope he goes to a team with a creative DC. It would suck for him to be the next Reddick from the Cardinals, I know he is way more talented and versatile than him but he definitely needs to end up in the right spot
Wow!!! Great analysis by you Alex of Isaiah Simmons. By the way knowing the draft history of the NY Giants I don't think they'll select someone like Simmons. I think they're more likely to trade down in the first round and draft an offensive lineman. Mike Remmers left the Giants via free agency. Nate Solder had an injury riddled 2019 season and could be leaving NY after this upcoming season. Finally, Daniel Jones will enter his first season as the Giants opening day starting quarterback. So if you're Dave Gettleman you gotta make sure the franchise QB is protected so that his career isn't shortened by poor O-Line protection as was the case with David Carr and Andrew Luck.
The Giants need to get a left tackle that will allow Nate Solder to move over to the right side of the O-Line. Elite level left tackles that Daniel Jones will need to block for him are usually found in the first round. In the later rounds you can find value picks at the guard, center, and right tackle position.
Yes Isaiah has great, physical skill sets. However, what you gotta be mindful of is that historically the Giants don't often select splash players like him. And when they do so it is out of absolute need as was the case with Eli in 2004 and Saquon Barkley in 2018. Matter of fact knowing how the Giants often draft players I wouldn't be surprised if they draft someone like Alabama's Jerry Jeudy or Ohio State's Jeff Okudah in the 1st round.
let him learn the inside linebacker position well and let him play there the majority of snaps. With everything else, he already knows enough to get by for occasional duty
He weighs 238 lb and runs and plays faster than 180 lb guy but also pushed around like a 180 lb guy. To me he needs to play in the space not in the box.
I think Hooker from the Tennessee Titans will take on a role like this next year with the departure of Logan Ryan. Won’t play any linebacker but I think he will be a huge surprise next year in the NFL. They will pick on him the first few weeks but they will learn not to throw his way.
At 1:51 that number #3 reciever was butt naked. Reason why I wouldn't draft him soooooo high. Hes a talent 4 sure but there's a reason why he wasn't playing up until a season ago.
Thank you! Yeah, in the way I was talking about the Panthers, the Giants could be there too with their rookie head coach. He'd look sick in NY, good luck
I would plug him in at Free Safety! Any other position would compromise his athletic ability. If you make him play linebacker he would likely need to gain weight. His speed and height are close to Sean Taylor’s measurables and as a Free Safety he would make the most impact in my opinion.
Daniel DeLarosa because we have a huge need for talent on the defense. we struggle with rushing the passer, pass defense, and are alright at run defense but we need big help on defense. and giants have also installed a new coach which means a new scheme that will most likely be built around players instead of a established team having to change their scheme around Simmons.
Kenzen Kong agreed, but I’d rather see DJ and Barkley at their full potential with a strong O line. Our defense has already improved with Graham alone.
It just occurred to me... there's those rumors that the 49ers are open to trading Goodwin, Ford, Alexander, and Tartt... then Lynch comes out and says they love the last three. My God... they are hoping to get Simmons! The idea is if they get Simmons, they will find a role for him as a rookie by dealing either Ford (EDGE), Alexander (WILL), or Tartt (box safety), whichever they can get the best deal for.
@@AlexRollinsNFL ur great man just watched ur tua video wow that got me thinking he should be picked over burrow and how incredible his mind and anticipation is

@@mikeyybeezoo yeah I think linebacker would be best though, because of his closing speed and athleticism, not to mention his physicality to stop RBs or TEs getting past him, but yeah a LB/S role would be amazing
@@mikeyybeezoo honestly, I'm a giants fan so I already want simmons because we have such a bad defense and he can fill multiple roles, but, when you think about it, the other 3 teams in the NFC East all have defensive lineman strength, they all have good pass rushes which makes me want to get a offensive lineman. However I feel like if your Dave Gettleman and you know you have to win as much as you can now. Especially since this may be his final year, you gotta get a impact player like Simmons. I felt the giants offense was capable of winning us games. But the defense couldn't get off the field on 3rd and short and mediums which costed us alot of games. I think he goes to the Giants ag 4 and I hope he does
I really Think Obi Melifonwu could really revive his career if he put on 10 lbs and switched to this type of hybrid LB role, I think he would be almost unstoppable against TEs and RBs out of the backfield.

Detroit has a new defensive coordinator. Matt Patricia and Quinn"s main attribute they love is "versatility". How do you not get this guy at 3 and build your defense around him? Don't understand how Okudah is better.
The only problem with that the NFC east D-lines next year will be really good next year, Cowboys Dlaw, Redskins Young, and the eagles have cox which needs double teams

Billy O gotta go.
rewatching this after the trade
I just hope he goes to a team with a creative DC. It would suck for him to be the next Reddick from the Cardinals, I know he is way more talented and versatile than him but he definitely needs to end up in the right spot
oh boy do i have news for you
May's from USC was like this. Pet just didn't use him this role.
onyx 0311 bro FACTSSSSSS!
Now a Cardinals Great Videos
Where do you get your film from I'm wanting to get into analyzing running backs but I couldn't find non highlight footage.
I trade with coaches. I'm offering my film library on my Patreon page which is linked in the description box
Thanks Vlad
So you can’t address both and get a olinemen in the 2nd?
The Giants need to get a left tackle that will allow Nate Solder to move over to the right side of the O-Line. Elite level left tackles that Daniel Jones will need to block for him are usually found in the first round. In the later rounds you can find value picks at the guard, center, and right tackle position.
Vladimir Kerlegrand giants can get a serviceable guard in the 2nd round you can’t pass on a talent like Simmons
I love for my broncos to trade up and get him even though Ik it won’t happen. It would be fun to see what fangio could do with him
TheFrostbite324 Miller , Chubb and Simmons ...would be insane !
Its possible,just would cost alot
If you want to disguise coverages you gotta have this guy...
let him learn the inside linebacker position well and let him play there the majority of snaps. With everything else, he already knows enough to get by for occasional duty
I agree JJ!
He weighs 238 lb and runs and plays faster than 180 lb guy but also pushed around like a 180 lb guy. To me he needs to play in the space not in the box.
Glad we got him
I see a future franchise player for big blue!!
Think again
Clemson defensive coordinator coach v is a genius
Definitely. If anybody knew how to use Simmons it was Venables
Tristan Wirfs vs the other top offensive lineman in this class would be cool
None of the olinemen have separated themselves enough to be declared the best in the draft there is no Nelson in the draft.
I would like to see this kid at Strong Safety like Sean Taylor who was probably the GREATEST at his position
Reminds me of the saying “jack of all trades master of none”
Can you do one on comparing the top few olineman in the draft specifically Andrew Thomas. Curious how he stacks up for Cleveland at #10
Thanks Kyle, I'll put him on the list
@@AlexRollinsNFL no, thank you
I feel like Simmons would be a great fit in vic fangios's defensive scheme fangio likes versatility
Yes
Y'all gotta trade up to make that happen
EDPs Toilet u were right but they didn’t
Y’all really sleep on the Red Sea 😴
Love the video, but I hope my Giants draft him and build the defense around him!
Thank you! Yeah, in the way I was talking about the Panthers, the Giants could be there too with their rookie head coach. He'd look sick in NY, good luck
Same here . But I think they’re going to draft a OL . We need that bad too .
Eric Berry was the OG all pro Hybrid defender
Man. I see a safety. I see a strong safety. He fits the bill
Nah Hes getting bigger, not smaller
I would plug him in at Free Safety! Any other position would compromise his athletic ability. If you make him play linebacker he would likely need to gain weight. His speed and height are close to Sean Taylor’s measurables and as a Free Safety he would make the most impact in my opinion.
Come to the Bolt Gang. ⚡️⚡️⚡️ JAMES AND SIMMONS
He’s perfect for giants
I don’t pay too much attention to the giants but could you please explain how?
Daniel DeLarosa because we have a huge need for talent on the defense. we struggle with rushing the passer, pass defense, and are alright at run defense but we need big help on defense. and giants have also installed a new coach which means a new scheme that will most likely be built around players instead of a established team having to change their scheme around Simmons.
Kenzen Kong agreed, but I’d rather see DJ and Barkley at their full potential with a strong O line. Our defense has already improved with Graham alone.
JayyJamzz either way we go im fine
JayyJamzz you could get Trent Williams to deal with part of that at least
It just occurred to me... there's those rumors that the 49ers are open to trading Goodwin, Ford, Alexander, and Tartt... then Lynch comes out and says they love the last three. My God... they are hoping to get Simmons! The idea is if they get Simmons, they will find a role for him as a rookie by dealing either Ford (EDGE), Alexander (WILL), or Tartt (box safety), whichever they can get the best deal for.
Imagine pairing Simmons with Derwin James...scaryyy
or with Jamie Collins, Jalahni Tavai & Jared Davis hmmmm think about that a moment!
Wow dude ur on brett kollman level ur channel is gonna boom
Thanks a ton. I really respect Brett, appreciate that Foody
@@AlexRollinsNFL ur great man just watched ur tua video wow that got me thinking he should be picked over burrow and how incredible his mind and anticipation is
@@savini8234 Thanks! Yeah, Tua really blew me away. Burrow looked really special as well, fun class..
We really passed on him, i hate my team
Strong safety makes the most sense for him to dominate or either weak side backer
Nah not saftey, linebacker will be best
Nationsss he has the fluidity to play strong /stay in the box...range to Play free . He will be able to stick most tight ends off the rip especially with proper coaching .
@@mikeyybeezoo yeah I think linebacker would be best though, because of his closing speed and athleticism, not to mention his physicality to stop RBs or TEs getting past him, but yeah a LB/S role would be amazing
Nationsss Yeah . Where do u think he’ll end up draft day?
He'll be a scary player in Miami if Coach Flo wants him
I 100 percent agree
So as a panthers fan, we just got through with cam newton. The freak talented superhero play from your gut, not your head, type guy. It was great at times, but ultimately frustrating as hell. Glad we went with brown.
You got to admit would rather have Simmons than Chase Young that Washington defense is so leaky he's a safety and a linebacker in one
No.
very risky but has great potential
I like Okudah but I really hope the Lions draft him
Use him in the middle of the defense, and let him make plays. He's like Brian Urlacher
I know the Broncos would have to trade up, and I know that we have more pressing needs
But having Isaiah Simmons in Vic Fangios Defense would be just plain scary
Sucks he didn’t have a preseason you can see the first couple of weeks he was struggling. But his game against the Seahawks in week 11 he show cased what he can bring to the cardinals defense with a great performance, sucks they lost :(
I love him as a spy and hunt mobile QB’s!! I can see him having success playing the spy role for the Lions if they take him!!!!
Detroit has a new defensive coordinator. Matt Patricia and Quinn"s main attribute they love is "versatility". How do you not get this guy at 3 and build your defense around him? Don't understand how Okudah is better.
Future NY Giant!!
No he isn’t, y’all are gonna get a tackle
Jamanan Sports if the lions don’t take him Simmons is all but locked everyone in the giants office are reported in love with him
The only problem with that the NFC east D-lines next year will be really good next year, Cowboys Dlaw, Redskins Young, and the eagles have cox which needs double teams
Panthers
Jamanan Sports I ain’t disagreeing just saying what being reported
2 years later and he’s now playing like a pro bowler and maybe an All-Pro
