I've been looking at building/purchasing a 30x40. Seems like the price you got was a good deal. For those wanting to know about the cost of hiring the concrete work done, I paid the contractors/masons $3.5k for a 20x24, plus about another $1k for the company that supplied/delivered it to the site. As for insulating, I would definitely hire someone to come in and spray foam the hole thing. I would run the electrical through conduit on the inside walls, so as not to create any air gaps or thin spots in the insulation. I'm in NY, so the higher the R-Value, the better. Would probably consider using a heat pump system for temp control as that seems to be the most economical way to go.
What’s the deal with the extra parts they left with? Had you requested 4ft on center and they gave you 5ft instead? I keep reading about shady dealings on the installers part.

Since I’ve built it, I’ve put in a wood stove and chimney through the roof and ran electrical power to it. I also ran a 50 amp inlet from the building to the panel in the house that way I can run my generator from the metal building.
What can you do with a building like this? Nice to have a concrete base. But no insulation. Probably leaks. Just have to pay someone to come haul it away when it rusts out in a few years and you won;t be able to take it apart due to rusted bolts you will have to cut it

Mine is fully insulated and I allowed for the building to breathe. No problems. Summer here we have avg humidity of 85%. 90 degree F days. No sweating in building either. The thermal mass of the concrete floor in your building also helps prevent condensate on the inside. I have a floating insulated ceiling in mine.

Did you add and insulation for sound dampening or not and cold days?
We are moving to SC and I would like one of these buildings aas a shop,
I didn’t add insulation. I hear it traps condensation between it and the metal.
