What a wonderful tour of your biggest store, Mr ROZANSKI! I am from the Philippines and I believe that your Mile High superstore is the Mecca of all comics aficionados. We should all get the chance to visit it at least once in our lifetime. That store is comics paradise!

Can only guess they have all and any stock from stores they have closed over the years due to times have changed and some or many have closed for any reason. seeing how comics used to be mass made which flooded the market to where some comics are not worth as much as others but become a huge value for any reason cause some buy many copies for any reason so guessing the place as alot of copies of some comics stored to be sold anytime.

I would love to be able to walk in there any time of night and just sit down and go through a box when ever I had the itch to do so.
The great lakes area needs a shop like this.

Now hold on Chuck... at the 6:30 mark, you are in the "pulling files" section and you stop at a box that contains singles, and it's just a random mix of books... Wendy, The Shadow, Star Trek, Flash, etc. You said there are 2.5 million and they are all in order ! What good is the long box that you stopped at, doing for you... it's just random issues. How can you find a particular title/issue when it's like this ?

+Joe Knipp Look at the number ranges on the boxes and the bar code labels on individual comics. There is a system. It's just not alphabetized and in numerical order like a personal collection is.

+Joe Knipp They use a warehouse inventory location system. Comics are tagged and entered into a database with a barcode/number that will correspond to an aisle and box. When an order comes in the computer will spit out the location for the comic to be picked. When shipping is complete the comic will be removed from the database. No need to sort into alpha numeric order since the public is not digging through those boxes.

+Steven Watson : Yep, I understand now. When I was in the work force, I used a similar system. I called it a 'random filing system'. In the case of a comic collection like MHC, I could see the advantages ! The only drawback is if you wanted issues 1-20 of Kamandi, you might have to go hunting in 20 different long boxes to locate each issue.
