    Putting the Billie Eilish song on here, especially at number one, is kinda hilarious to me. There are so many worse songs that could be put in that spot. The song is solid and it is literally Billie Eilish doing her version of Bond song. It seems like the author of the article just doesn't like her sound and decided that the song was bad because of that.

    • @crazydud3380
      @crazydud3380 Рік тому +2

      Yeah, that was weird. It isn't great, but it certainly isn't bad either. Lists like these usually put something people have heard of at number one, because that controversy gets people talking and generates more clicks. Some random crap nobody cares about at number one would be more accurate, but would not get nearly as much attention. Always look at everything in these lists EXCEPT for number. Just consider 2 to be the true number one.

    • @rmv9194
      @rmv9194 Рік тому

      Yeah, and putting someone with just one album (at the time), is still pretty wierd. Many artist can make a great first album, but not MANY good albums, which would be required to qualify someone as "good".

    Chazz: Okay, lemme ask you a question: who's side did you take in the big David Lee Roth-Van Halen split?
    Chris Moore: What?
    Marcus: What kind of question is that?
    Chazz: Who's side did you take: Halen or Roth?
    Chris Moore: ...Van Halen

      Ergo Fin's a cop.

    03:57 They went by their high school nicknames. U2’s 80s stuff was incredible, and Achtung Baby came out my senior year high school so that album will always be my favorite. Everything they did after 2000 was just…meh

Towards the end of his career...but he'll always be great and so is Kanye i love him but a lot of his songs can be misses.! I agree with Snopp Dogg's decline as well! Ahaha love u! Keep up the good work! 😘✌️

    Yeah someone at Spin was definitely trying to increase the brand's edgy factor by not only including a popular Billie song, but making it #1. If they are indeed trying to reinvent themselves this is a strange place to start. Writing controversial things for the sake of being controversial is kind of the norm in 2022, not innovation. Hopefully Spin gets a little more creative in this transition.
    Also weird to include that White Stripes song because that's apparently a Japanese bonus track and most of the songs on the list are relatively well known.

      Yeah, I've been a fan, but I've never heard that Stripes track before. Maybe obscurity shouldn't matter, but it's a weird deep grab.

    It's supposed to be titled gallons of rubbing alcohol flowed through the strip and it was not on the original release of In Utero. I like it but I like everything that Nirvana did that sounds like noise.

    Fun fact: the MJ Bad music video was directed by Martin Scorsese.
    Also Gallons of Rubbing Alcohol Flows down the Strip was omitted from the US release of In Utero. It was the final track on the Japanese import version. Honestly it should have been a hidden track like Endless Nameless. Personally I hate the songs All Apologies and Pennyroyal Tea and I would have liked for Gallons to be there instead.

      It's not even that bad. All of the songs from his studio albums realeased during his lifetime were hand picked by him out of many more that he wrote. The only songs that are actually not good are from his posthumous albums.

    Some people take My Ding-a-Ling in good humor, and sometimes I can, too. But it was dumb as hell that it was a genuine #1 hit for him though; his only #1, with his other highest charters being "Sweet Little Sixteen" (which is a classic) and "School Days" (which was better when rewritten as "No Particular Place to Go", I think) at #'s 2 and 3, respectively. I hope he genuinely got a kick out of it, cus' he had to play it a lot live after that.

      His voice worked for their raw and gritty 80's stuff, in the 90's he and his producers went for something more "polished" which makes it even more obvious that he can't sing at all.
