Hey, you got into your car on the wrong side! :) Excellent video. Great info and tips. Thank you. 👍 I'd like to offer some of my experience. I've been an auto enthusiast for over 40 years. Like most of us enthusiasts, I enjoy learning and doing the work on my vehicles, and friend's and family members vehicles. "Pre gapped", plugs have been out for a long time. In my experience, even with pre-gapped plugs, I ALWAYS check to verify the gap. Why? Because I've had the occasional incorrectly gapped, "pre gapped", spark plug. For me, I prefer straight/flat gauges opposed to the common round discs or wire gauges.
Hi! Thanks for watching. I’ll keep this in mind for next time and will grab some of those flat gauges. I can certainly see why you would prefer them! Always worth checking before installing, saves faff if they are gapped wrongly!
Great video, thanks! What is the fastening method for the wiring harness sitting on top of the middle cylinder? It is simply a push-pull type of connector? I didn't see you use a tool or release any clips. It looks like you simply gave a firm pull. Is this correct?
Hi there hope you are well do you know when do you need to replace coils pack mine is misfiring little bit when I fire it for first few seconds? Many thanks
It may be worth reading the codes to see if it comes up with anything before throwing any money at the problem. It could be a number of things but you could change lots of parts and still have the issue
You’re welcome. It’s only the wiring above the coils that gets in the way but with a bit of manoeuvring should be fine. Like I said I’m the video I’m not 100% sure on the torque specs as I couldn’t find any. Good luck 😃
Hi mate I am s4 owner and its really nice to see someone who is doing the video like you . I am looking forward to see more videos good luck mate.
Thank you, appreciate your support! How are you finding your S4?
Thanks for your help it had injectors clogged up nothing to do with spark plugs or coil packs 👍

I think it just popped up and out with a firm pull. Can’t remember needing any tools to do it.
Really well put together video man 🔥
Cheers Stef! Hope you’re doing well 👍🏻

I have a video in the S4 playlist on replacing the PCV valve, hope that helps 👍🏻
How many miles/km does the s4 have?
Currently around 54k
@@JAYPCARS miles or km?
Sorry, miles 👍🏻

@@Shafiqkhanuk When were the spark plugs last changed? Could also be coil pack failing. Made any changes to the car recently?
@@JAYPCARS no really no one changed them I think it’s got 65k on clock now
I would change the sparks regardless then 👍🏻
Thanks! How long did it take you?
If you take away recording it, around 1hr - it’s a nice easy job 👍🏻
@@JAYPCARS thanks so much for taking the time! I’m going to do it this weekend with my SQ5.

How much torque when tightening the spark plugs?
Not sure, can’t find an answer online anywhere, I just tightened until tight.
