Made the swap to a fresh warlock about a week before p2 drops. I didn’t even know how good they were anticipated to me (I just wanted to try meta tank and be a big purple demon lol) so it was a pleasant surprise seeing how good they were doing dmg wise. Even leveling, going SBV in SM runs, was absolutely cranking. Been having a fun time in gnomer so far, although I’ve mostly been OT so I haven’t gotten to fully pump yet. Thanks for the vids, they’ve been super helpful!

awesome guide. you also might want to point out that if you dont have a fire mage in your raid your damage will be quite significantly less than other parses that do if i understand the sims correctly. improved scorch gives us like 80+ more dps sadly. just so people dont get depressed when they see their parses without a mage haha

When doing trash and using SBV... do you think it's worth using item rack to swap out Fire DMG pieces for Shadow DMG pieces where applicable? Or simply just roll with the glove and chest swap for the rune changes?
Yes! I love item rack. Can also just drag thr gloves to your actionbars.

Nice vid! Why pop cooldowns at beginning though? Is it not better to first wait for imp scorch debuff on target and also get a Shadow and Flame proc? Also side benefit of letting tank get aggro in those initial few seconds.
Imp scorch will be up by the time you full send. Even with one mage

Not sure what’s up with my dps, a few lockouts ago parsed 97 on Fallout. Haven’t gotten back up there in a few runs and I’m not sure what’s up. Rotation seems fine, gear is pretty solid. One thing I’ve noticed is not a bunch of crits popping up. Any suggestions.
!! You can also use multiple potions i.e. fire spell power and lesser arcane elixir. At the same time.

Nice video, but lacking some information, or even providing some wrong infos.
About the Irradiated set - you are not losing 35 Stamina by wearing it. You are losing 63 (if you wear Hyperconductive set instead it will provide 28 Stamina). In Raids with all buffs and stats increase - you are losing even more. The difference in Health is big, and you will be a glass candle, but anyway it's still best - at least for boss fights. Damage difference compared to Hyperconductive set is not as big as everyone thinks, because of the Demonic Pact rune.
About rotation - do not use your Cloth item (or any other dmg inc cd) right after you set incinerate, curse, and lake of fire. Use it when your mage builds 5 scorches. If you do not have a fire mage - then ok.
5 scorches are up by the time you pop them in my rotation. Even if you run one mage. And yeah, you're always use Irrad. Regardless of the Stam loss. But Hyper is only like 10 or so DPS behind

I have a complete Irradiated set, and am going to try it tomorrow. For now I dunno how it's going to affect my hellfire-ing, because health loss is significant (for example unbuffed with an Irradiated set I only have slightly above 1k HP, in Raid with all buffs will be more, but still).
I commented on video just because ppl do not realize how much Stamina we are losing with this set.

One question I have is why the guides all dont take Conflag? As someone who typically runs Demonic Tactics > Lake of fire (mostly due to being in a guild with healers that can't keep up with tank damage and me tapping), I find that Conflag fits perfectly into my rotation:
1.Incinerate
2. Immolate
3. Chaos Bolt
4. Incinerate
5. incinerate
6. Conflagrate
7. Go to step 2
My Chaos Bolt is always off cooldown when I get to it and Conflag is always cast with like 2-3 seconds left on my immolate, and these conflags are doing like 1k damage on crit.
Conflag is fun and viable. Just loses out to the other building slightly. You can def play it tho if you want. Altho if for sure suggest lake of fire if you are.
I've macros all of my Soul Shard consuming spells (biggest example being healthstone) to /use Neverending Soul Vessel and then cast whatever. So as long as spaced out 5 mins, you're never consuming a soul shard.
Ramsey rum and Stam food also give spell power through the demonic knowledge rune now which is nice

@@yvngsavage8249 demonic knowledge, your Stan is shared with your pets. Both Rumsey and 8 Stan food give you 2 spell power

12:26 Probably dumb question, but is there some setting I have to check for it do show me possible upgrades when I mouse over a slot on sixtyupgrades? Mine does not do this.
If you're looking at my link, you should just be able to hover over each slot. But you might need to be logged in.
Instead of 2/2 reach you could also use 2/5 cataclysm which is strictly better for DPS. I do think reach is nice on f.e. last boss as sometimes you could lose range.

it depends on if you want the hit. I think I'd go Evil until you get Epic MH

OFC! No problem. Hit is hard to get this phase, so it's nice where we can get it. Also know that 1% hit is worth about 6-7 Spell Power, if that helps you calculate what you want in the future when you get more gear.@@kevinbauleke577
Is shadow and flame still > Grimoire after the buff?
Also, with the Grimoire buff, does affliction even have a chance now to be raid viable with the 25% dmg buff?
Nah this video was made before the buff to Grimoire. Grim is now the best option. Destro is still better as well
Sounds stupid but I use demonic grace on trash set to get more isb debuffs up on the first volley. Gets me to 1100-1200 dps on the launch pad packs. I could swap in some pact legs instead but grace works and it's fun to get some use out of a bad rune.
That doesn't sound stupid! There's many ways to play the game my guy and as long as you're having fun, that's all that matters.
I can def see why Grace would be a good choice for that. For trash with ISB, I prefer Demonic Pact, since it will give you(and party) some reallly good Spell Power. But I do like the Crit you get from Grace. So def not a bad choice

What about the restricted mana pool from the imp that runs oom in less than 1 minute (even with the trinket)?
The succubus can be best for longer fights imo (especially for first clears then), any thoughts?
Imp beats succ out, and you also get more Spell Damage from your Demonic Knowledge
It's only a problem on menagerie, on the last boss just put your imp to passive during the transition and he should go back to full mana for each phase.
Figure this out yeah, and for the menagerie I think you could just put it on passive for a while (midfight) so that the impt gets almost to full @@coachmcguirk6297

Should point out on the last boss most locks still go meta to handle bombs, and that's still meta over boomderps halfway through the phase. A frost bomb charging right at you and dying right next to you while you pump the boss is not typical at all in 95% of raids lmao.
Do you think the engineering belt is worth crafting as it gives you hit %?
Nah, in terms of stat weights hit % isn't worth that much as dps. Around 5-7 spell damage.

That's if someone in your group has the weapon, it replaces your curse of elements because it does the same thing but stronger.

Affliction was always bad in vanilla. It didn't become viable as a raid spec until wrath, so this is to be expected.
Nightfall/Shadowburn is still strong in WPvP and AB/WSG, also next phase maybe DoTs crit and all the destro locks need to relearn rotation for pve

Man I want to DPS warlock with fire, but everyone I know has seen me do orange tank parses on gnomer while self healing for a lot as well, so my guild generally asks me to off tank or main tank different portions. It's a carpal tunnel inducing tank rotation with so many buttons, but rewarding to be top middle of dps in my groups. Still nowhere near the insane dps of destro atm. Also wish we could dual spec because I had an I dea for managerie thats half affliction for nightfall procs and instant corruption with shadow bolt volleys, I've tested it in dungeons and casting 15 shadowbolts in 2 seconds feels amazing. There's obviously a best talent/rune combination, but I'm still getting good results from other rune/talent combinations and still performing as well as most classes or better and having a lot of fun theorycrafting for future phases and 40 man raids!

@Love0wner basically the same rotation as destruction meta lock except you switch drain life with lake of fire and now you have to add dots to every target. So instead of searing pain and shadow cleave, you have to add 3-4 dots per target while still using searing pain and shadow cleave. You will still use incinerate for fights to help build aggro with bonus damage to searing pain. So yes, you have way more button presses than lake of fire+hellfire with intensity or incinerate+searing pain spam.

Affliction self-sustaining is good for tanking, but it does a little more than half the damage of destro. Phase 3 critical on dots are gonna be big for affliction.

@kamyu1133 I've done a lot of rune/talent combos for PvP and the burst of Destro is huge hitting players for massive portions of their hp. Also meta in PvP with searing pain talents for crit chance and destructive reach can make your searing pain have 30%-40+% crit chance hitting players for over 600 with crits, just constantly chunking down hp. Affliction was good for sustainability, harassment, and CC if not focused but lacked burst if you didn't get a nightfall proc or had haunt on cd.
