This the best 1/35 scale Tiger 1 out there. But it is worth mentioning the fact that the Afrika Korps never had Tigers. They were attached to the 5th Panzer Army under the comand of von Arnim.
That is true, this Tiger 131 was part of the 504th Heavy Tank Battalion. I just changed the kit label to the final render. The one you saw was just a temporary label.
@@germancustombricks Fun fact. Everyone knows about the famous Tiger 131 from The Tank Museum in Bovington. What is less known is that there was another Tiger I in Africa which initially had 131 as turret number. It belonged to the 501st heavy tank battalion and its name was Norbert. It was a very early model, having narrow front mudguards, angular exhaust shrouds and the headlights mounted on the front plate. Records show that it was still in service in April 1943 near the end of the Tunisian campaign. When it was found by the Allies, Norbert had 8 kill rings on the gun.

Great build! One of the best brick build tiger tanks I have seen so far! Just one thing - tiger tanks never were officialy part of the Afrikakorps. So they wouldn't have the palmtree symbol.
That is correct, i just put it on there for effect but it doesn’t have to be applied.... lol.
It might be better than Brickmania and Brickveteran ones.

great model! probs the best lego tiger I've seen, one thing tho, the antenna isn't foldable on the real tiger
Howdy! Rhanks! That is correct. Actually it is spring loaded so although it doesn’t fold down, the barrel can traverse over it and it will pop back up. I don’t think lego has any springs in their parts lists so this is the best i could do, so you don’t have to remove the antenna now like before.

Yes I already did - kit #068 Tiger 301, Kirt Knispel.
Is this one going to have instructions, or just a kit?
It will be both as with all the kits. This first prototype kit has been sold already, but i am working on setting up a pre-order system for the higher demand models.

It will be around $300. It definitely doesn't cost as much as the larger company but i don't have all the overhead they do and you are getting a much better tank for your money!
