You have to really appreciate the set designers that are able to creat these designs that both faithfully represent a real world object with that amount of detail (especially that turret with that impressive gun breach and basket set up). Along with the build quality not being obtrusively fragile. I mean this whole thing is hollow and you can legitimately “play” around with it and it’s not going to lose chunks if you pick it up wrong or whatever. Cobi is a top tier brick manufacturer and designer.
This set does NOT faithfully represent a real world object. Numerous things are omitted, or the wrong colour, or the wrong version. The engine is not based on 131's original engine. There are reasons to think the designers used an old model kit from Academy Models as their referemce - because if they had seen the real tank, some decisions would be different. But that model kit is 30 years old and very poor quality, even compared to more recent kits.

the suspension in the tiger was excellent, matter a fact just about everything about it was excellent, only nearly 1200 of these machines were made, and destroyed 20,000 allied tanks. The issue they had was with the expensiveness of production, and the high qaulity peices that were used during production. When a tiger had a roadwheel shot off, or had any issue that made it so it was unable to drive, it could be easily repaired, however the peices used to repair were expensive, and with the terrible german logistic line, normally were hundreds of miles away from being able to be used on the tank. This resorted to many tigers being abandoned. Out of 1200 tigers destroyed, 447 were abandoned, the most tiger knockouts are accredited to fighter bomber planes (close air support.) The tiger was a magnificent and high quality tank with great suspension transmission, and ergonomics plagued only by expensiveness and one of the worst logistics of any army.
@@bigsmokes2708 Not entirely accurate. The complexity of the suspension made it prone to being jammed by mud. Tigers couldn't operate well in conditions most soviet tanks had no problems with. It was a great tank yes, but it was not without its flaws.

imagine the maus or ratte in this scale, absolutely insane
I have a 1/10 tiger 1 RC from Hooben almost looks as big, but im guessing this brick kit tank is sized around 1/12 scale which is still pretty big. I Like that its a full interior biuld kit not just exterior. it kinda justifies the price in that respect. Wonder if their gonna do more like this in this size. would be neat to collect all types of ww2 tanks from COBI at this level of detail indeed
For someone who took 2 weeks to build a 1 to 1 replica model of the tiger h1 this is insanely detailed puts my rc heng long to shame.
Woah. Definitely gonna buy this when I can afford it in 1 year.
i would have seriously considered buying if it came with 5 detailed figures in 1/12 scale.
Hello. Could you tell me which is the best brand of building brick blocks, which is the one with the best quality and price?
I have another question. I'm thinking about buying a T3485 tank. Which tank is better and/or which one do you recommend?
