@gaminggeek241 Possibly not an easy question to answer but I have to get your opinion on this. I'm going to invest some time into producing some terrain and boards for various uses. One of these will be an attempt to create a modular surface for playing Arena:The Contest and Tanares. I don't have the patience to try out every option out there (we have you for that :) ). Which should I use, Dragon's Rest or Dungeon Blocks? What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance.
That is hard to answer because the systems are fairly different from each other. I would start off with the size of the squares--Dragon's Rest is a full 1.5" square and DB is slightly smaller than that. Also, DR has removable walls but you would need to exchange the floors anyway to accommodate the walls. DR has more variety of floors but DB has more variety with walls. Honestly, if I were to make a 3D board for Tanares, I wouldn't use either because it is a fixed board. I would just print out all the tiles for the entire board and then print out walls that I would place on the tiles (or use the 3D walls Dragori made). If you wanted to be able to replace the individual floor tiles with spikes and water, I guess I'd go with DB.
@@gaminggeek241 Thanks for the thoughtful and throrough response, I don think it would interesting to have an Arena/Tanares board where the tiles can be swapped out for lava, traps, stairs, portals, etc. Not necessary but a nice little immersion bump for a game that prioritizes speed of setup over terrain complexity. I have the Legendary Box walls, so I'm covered for those (followed your paint scheme). Thanks again.
How loud is that Anker printer? I live in an apartment and have a Prusa just because it is the quietest but I'd love a faster one if it wasn't too loud.
You're a legend mate. thanks for what you do for the community!
Great ideas for the organic 4x4 curved walls!
Just bought an Ankermake M5C to basically replace my mk3s. Looks like an amazing machine! 🎉
There's so little actual play space for models in that entire scene. Looks amazing but better systems out there.

The cooling fans make it louder than the Prusa so if sound is your highest priority, stick with what you have.
