I was a couple months behind on my mammogram at the end of Covid , was going to not go to my appointment, but did. I had cancer, but because I caught it early, I’m now cancer free. ⚡️
I'm on my first week ever on GLP-1's (tirzepetide) and your channel has been hugely helpful for me. Minimal side effects (if any) thankfully, which I am very grateful for! I've always been good about eating mostly healthy and making it to the gym. Where I've struggled is snacking in between meals and over-eating for dinner or sticking to healthy meals at night after I get off work. I've found this takes the guess work out of it and helps me stick to my planned meals and a healthy diet. This week I've been amazed at how I no longer have the desire to snack in between meals. I love it!! It's helped me stay consistent. That being said, I know I have a long road ahead. Thanks for your awesome videos! 🌩
I’m sooooo close to my goal and so appreciate you keeping us all informed.and motivated! This community is so supportive and uplifting. Taking some me time today while it rains…..again ⚡️ ❤
⚡️ Yup! Riding my bike on the trainer while watching again today! 🚴 Thanks for the encouragement, honesty, and great information, as always. Yes! We are worth the hard work! 💪🏻 😘
⚡️⚡️I am concentrating on going one day at a time with my healthy eating and exercise instead of focusing too far ahead and getting overwhelmed or discouraged. Today I am doing my wall pilates workout and aiming for no sodas or unhealthy snacks!
⚡️ My accountability for the week is to track my food consistently and meal plan. Countess, I have two take aways from this vlog… 1. You can experience two things at time. Im grateful for this journey and for all the things you share. I have learned so much from your experience, strength and hope. 2. This is going to take work. It sounds like you’ve had a breakthrough. The type that is having you make some really positive lifestyle changes. Thank you for being so open with us. You are absolutely right. This is going to take work and we should be grateful that we have this opportunity and the ability to make these changes for ourselves. The future us will thank us 😊
⚡️Day one for me. I just started my first Zepbound shot today. My insurance plan won’t cover me, so I had to use the savings card which still cost me $550 for a month supply!!!! I’m only a few hours in and very nervous about side effects. I also keep seeing all these ads for compounded meds and I honestly don’t know who to trust, thus my decision to spend $550! I have about 40-50lbs to lose. My bmi is 27 but I have high cholesterol, still my insurance plan rejects weight loss meds. I admit I feel shame for spending this amount of money and hope it’s all worth it.
I paid that amount twice, now it’s $25 after I hit deductible. I’m in 5 mg and going to 7.5 in 2 weeks. Hoping that’s my sweet spot and can stay there awhile. How goes it with you?
I had my joinFridays appointment this morning. The doc decided to order compound from a compounding pharmacy and name brand MJ from my local pharmacy. I had barely finished the appointment when I got the notification from my local pharmacy that it was ready for pick up. Mind blown. Maybe because he increased my dose to 12.5 mg. I don’t really know why. Just happy to have it
Today, and for the last two and a half weeks post op, I'm really trying to make healthy food choices while meeting my 120gms of daily protein goal. Being home without the ability to do anything more than be a couch potato has been a real challenge! ⚡️⚡️⚡️
⚡️I am so thankful. I just found out I can pick up 3 boxes of my Mj 12.5 tomorrow. I've been back on Ozempic for 3 months because of the shortage. I haven't gained but maintained. My sugar has stayed down. ❤❤❤
Just joined today. I have put off GPL1 use for several years. I just called my insurance and I am waiting on approval. My doc recommended Zepbound or Wegovy. Thoughts anyone? I understand that there is a shortage and I may not have a choice but will know more soon. Words for the day is to just do it! I have been focusing on more protein and less carbs and moving every day either walking or swimming or both for at least 30 mins. Thank you for caring for us enough to teach us what you have learned.
I finally got my Mounjaro 5mg today. I’m so excited. Couldn’t wait had to do my shot. My doctor gave me 5 prescriptions for all my titration doses. Hopefully all goes well.
I am so glad that you spoke on this a lot of people have been saying GLP-1 don’t work because some people don’t believe in change. I call it evolving into a better version of myself I’m far from perfect but my kids make this mission sooooooo worth it! Eating better as a family exercising as a family. GLP-1 is a tool this tool saved my life. I am on the compound it expensive for me no to put some elbow grease in lol. I have 8 kids my oldest is 20 and my youngest just turned 3 I work from home and run a business from home my schedule is constantly busy and coaching soccer now going into my 5 years daughter cheer team as assistant coach lol. I need my tool I’m soooo glad you said something awesome channel ❤❤❤❤❤
Love this video because of your openness and honesty. I’m so glad I found you on UA-cam. I switched to join Fridays because of you today, had my virtual appointment and was impressed with their thorough review. Thank you.
32 pound loss in 12 weeks !! I am 67 yr old male, Began at 270....now at 238 ! Started with 4 weeks of Zepbound 2.5, then 4 weeks of 5mg, then 4 of 7.5 (just took 1st dose of 10mg) Little nausea at the beginning...but taking a Tums would help. Weight loss was amazing ! Biggest downside is the CONSTIPATION ! Try to take Citrocel 2 to 3 times a day....helps a little. Dulcolax helps, but I don't want to take every day....Also Fleet enema helps. I guess it is a grin & bear it situation. Some days I feel extremely uncomfortable due to the Constipation...but watching the scale helps. I lose about 2-3 pounds a week. My goal is around 225....I'm 6'2, big frame....so if I level off at 225....I should be good. Good luck y'all.
Lighting bolt. You are the best. Upping my walking goal this week. Going to the doctor. Going to start going to PT to work on my health in a new way. Evaluating if I need a LOA to really focus for a min. Thank you my friend.
I am literally taking it to get pregnant. I have pcos and tried to get pregnant for two years to no avail. Then got pregnant on mounjaro November 2023 and yes lost my baby at 6 weeks, but am continuing on the meds as it wasn't due to them and hopefully will havemy rainbow, in God’s time 🌈
⚡️so close to my goal weight now. Walking every day. Your right it has not been easy. I have changed my eating habits. Including exercise. And after losing 70lbs getting used to living in a smaller body. Have 10lbs to go. Thank you for your uplifting message 😊
I feel like I am pooping my brains out. I have to be really careful about what I eat otherwise my stool gets really watery and the cramps are crazy. I had to miss work quite a bit.
Truths and Myths this information is so important!! Thank you for always hitting the info we need. FYI you should not need a referral for a screening mammo gram. Call again please so very important. We care about you too!!❤
⚡️ Yes I also understand the accountability issue, I’m 42 and still haven’t had my first mammogram. I just keep putting it off. I’ll service my car before making sure I’m ok.
Today is my 4th day walking, 2 miles . I am working on my protein intake. I've learned that this shot isn't an easy way out. You really do need to put in the work. My weightloss has been around 2/3 lbs per week, in my mind I thought that I would be loosing 5lbs a week 🤪 wrong!!! And I'm ok with not, I'm relearning healthy choices. I'm right where I am supposed to be right now ❤ ⚡️
⚡️ ⚡️hi. I’m Becky. My first time watching a video of yours . Gonna go back and watch more GLP-1 content. So glad I found you. Just got prescribed Zepbound but haven’t even taken first dose yet. I feel like I need to get my head straight first. 🥴
⚡️⚡️⚡️…love when you say “ let me clutch my pearls”. The most important word is “ Tool”. We have been given a tool to use. With this tool you have to do the work. Just like when I had bypass 21 years ago it was not an easy way out. It was a tool that I had to use and work hard on my protein and exercise to not gain it all back. Now I use Mounjaro for my blood sugar. Perfect example that even as a bypass patient who cannot tolerate a high amount of sugar, my A1C was still on the rise. Hoping in June when I test my a1c again for the first time after starting this will prove I was hormone deficient. I’ll keep you posted. ❤
⚡⚡Hello, I am newbie here. Binge watching your episodes! I just started the compound glp 1 one month ago and just starting my journey and transformation to a healthy relationship with food. Learning so much from you. Thank you. ⚡⚡
⚡️⚡️⚡️ catching up on all of your videos. Today is my way of making progress, along with body movement for the weekend. Thanks for another great video.
🌩I totally had that same thing between doses. On 5 mg I had slight nausea at around 14 hours after injection. Then when I went up to 7.5 mg that went away, but fatigue kicks in at about 2 hours. It's getting better, but now I'm going to switch to a couple hours before bedtime if it's going to make me fall asleep :)
⚡Thank you for sorting out the truths and myths! What am I doing today to get closer to my goal: I went for a small walk at lunch and I'm planning on having some me time this evening!
⚡️Hello there. I'm Andrea. Pretty new to the channel. I've been on compounded Sema and am switching to compounded Tirzepatide. I am an info junkie and appreciate the info you give. I have not been on the protein wagon with sema. I have however done HCG before and I was hitting g 100 plus grams daily then. It is a struggle and very time consuming. I'm taking this time before my Tirz arrives to get started on that habit. What makes it hardest for me is lack of appetite! Thank you for your efforts! I will pray for you. God Bless.
⚡️been on vacation for two weeks and have walked at least 3 miles each day. I have to figure out how to make the time to walk/move when I’m back to work.
⛈️🌩️⚡️I am going to have an egg instead of half a bagel for breakfast. 🍳 🥯. I know I’m still eating too many not so protein foods. I think stubbornly that if I’m going to eat anything that it’s going to be something i love and have denied myself for so long…. But all the people agree we still need high protein on this lifestyle. Thanks Queen!!
I love your channel and your content. You are an amazing person. Thank you for sharing all the great information, it’s so helpful! I’ve just started Zepbound 2.5, I’m on my second week and have lost 6lbs so far. I was deadly afraid to start this medication and it took me one year to finally pull the trigger and do it. I’m glad I did it but I still have some fear about the one side effect I hear about gastric paralysis and my other fear is when I have to come off this drug can I manage my weight? Do you have any information that you could provide on those two things?
⚡ I’m so tired 😴 I’m taking my meds. Finally got ok from my insurance for other 2 meds until this time next year. Doctor and nurse and I have work on this for 2 days.
⚡️Shortage with all mg doses of Mounjaro/Zepbound ? I have heard mixed responses across the country, like shortage with higher doses versus say 2.5 mg, 5 mg or 7.5 mg.
I lost 88 lbs on Wegovy over the past 2.5 years. My body is now tolerate of the medication and I'm now perimenopausal, so my bariatric doctor put me on Zepbound. I'm actually pretty scared to take it due to how new it is. I'm afraid that the risk won't be worth it because what if perimenopause prevents me from losing any more weight? Any thoughts?
⚡️ Looking amazing, Elizabeth! I had nausea on 2.5 MG Mounjaro for the first 2 weeks. I've had only a little fatigue on my 1st 5mg dose. How long do people stay on 5mg, and what dose do people lose the most weight? I'm only losing about 1 lbs per week & don't want the loose skin so ok with slow weight loss! Trying not to get discouraged. Trying to continue walks with my doggo...a Newf named Lilly!
Im not pooping my brains out but def a bit tougher to pass the poo. Im week 9 into this and week 2 on 5 MG Zepbound..ive had like this thirst all week, Soooo weird. Never before but this 2nd week -EVERY day cotton mouth-feeling dehydrated. Im thinking..geez..should I go back to 2.5mg?
⚡️aww enjoyed your video. I am on semaglutide and switching to zedbound soon due to cost. I have a free month supply of the ozempic so I’m not sure if I should use that in between my switch. All of it makes me nervous what the different side effects will be on each or which one is better. Really just looking for result with as little side effects as possible
⚡️❤ Hi Elizabeth, thank you for the encouragement about losing weight I have been on Mounjaro for 11 weeks and only lost 22lbs it really discourages me at times when I see others losing so much more and n it helps same amount of time. You are awesome I watch you every day God bless you and have a wonderful day sending hugs❤😊
Thats a great loss 2lbs a week! I only lose around 1 to 2lb on average a week sometimes I don't lose any I've been on 5mg Mounjaro 3 weeks after 4 weeks on 2.5mg
⚡️back home after a concert in DC so back to my “routine” of walking! Question about the protein shakes you enjoy- do they mix well if you just shake them in a bottle of water? I am traveling to Europe soon and was thinking of bringing them with me. Thanks!
You totally can mix them with water in a bottle (have done when I travel). Lots of ppl do that! I'm boujee so I usually mix with ice and sometimes fruit/sometimes not when I'm at home. (Sometimes ppl mix with almond milk too but I don't).
🌩on Week 4 of my 1st round of Zepbound. Was feeling a little discouraged about only losing 7 lbs (i lost 5 the first week), but I feel much better now. I think I had the mindset that I would lose this "massive" weight when I started....but now I know differently
⚡️today I messaged my Dr for a referral for my mammogram & thyroid check up making progress. Hubby helped with shot in arm today easier than we thought but my stomach is super sensitive today so extra rest some Biocare, ginger tea ,that’s my day
When you talk about the shortage, is that for all the different dosages? I just started my first month didn’t know what I need to do to talk to my doctor. ❤ Kari⚡️
⚡️. It is beautiful out today, will be hitting the pavement after work! Chicken and salad will be for dinner-cannot do any seafood/fish due to an allergy of a family member (I will eat it at a restaurant). Have a fabulous day!
⚡️⚡️great video Elizabeth!! I think we all have been relearning to focus and to improve what goes in our beautiful souls 😊.I'm focusing in getting my protein and also avoiding sweets. And I'm very proud of myself that last week I could have a 🍩 and I refused to have it 😁.😂 Hopefully I continue 🙏 strong with my 💉 tool 😊.
My Dr told me that there was a study reported in the Lancet whereby they say coffee is not the diuretic it was previously thought so coffee does count to your fl oz for the day
I was a couple months behind on my mammogram at the end of Covid , was going to not go to my appointment, but did. I had cancer, but because I caught it early, I’m now cancer free. ⚡️
Oh my Goodness, I have goosebumps. Thank you for sharing. Sending so much love.

Mammogram and bone density Both done this month

I'm actually pretty scared to take it due to how new it is. I'm afraid that the risk won't be worth it because what if perimenopause prevents me from losing any more weight?
Any thoughts?
⚡️ you’re awesome!
❤
That's 2lbs a week. That's awesome!
Everyone loses at a different rate- hang in there. I’m losing one pound a week for example. But my blood sugar is amazingly good.
🌩 ⚡️ incredibly grateful as well for every small win! Thanks for your spirit and encouragement ❤ this is hard work, but yeah, that's ok.
Hubby helped with shot in arm today easier than we thought but my stomach is super sensitive today so extra rest some Biocare, ginger tea ,that’s my day
⚡️I'm going to get back on track with tracking, increase my protein and walk more.
When you talk about the shortage, is that for all the different dosages? I just started my first month didn’t know what I need to do to talk to my doctor. ❤ Kari⚡️
I will do updated episode on specific doses ❤️❤️❤️
⚡️. It is beautiful out today, will be hitting the pavement after work! Chicken and salad will be for dinner-cannot do any seafood/fish due to an allergy of a family member (I will eat it at a restaurant). Have a fabulous day!
What is your opinion on Olympic Pharmacy ! They ship tirzepatide to Puerto Rico i like to have Feedback Thanks
⚡️⚡️great video Elizabeth!!
I think we all have been relearning to focus and to improve what goes in our beautiful souls 😊.I'm focusing in getting my protein and also avoiding sweets. And I'm very proud of myself that last week I could have a 🍩 and I refused to have it 😁.😂
Hopefully I continue 🙏 strong with my 💉 tool 😊.
Congratulations on fabulous victories!
⚡️I need to get more water in ...I haven't been good.... coffee is not water numbers
My Dr told me that there was a study reported in the Lancet whereby they say coffee is not the diuretic it was previously thought so coffee does count to your fl oz for the day
What did you do for loose skin ?
Monday video I'm going to talk more about with update. ❤️❤️
