Next we'll have Artisan Troupe backstory with them used to being total psionic rockstars and travelling the galaxy in a galactic rocking and rolling psychoactive tour.
I have funded a few of their tours through my empire. I even got an event where they had to halt it suddenly then ignored my attempts to communicate with them for a few years 😎
I always wondered why there are corporate enclaves (or really any enclave exept the shroud walkers maybe) when there is literally no one to trade with. All of the player/regular Ai empires are just starting to explore the stars and advanced stars only have a few decades head start. Fallen empires and mauraders (if they are even around) don’t trade with anyone. The enclaves would have been hundreds if not thousands of years without anyone or anything using their services.
Aha very true actually! Could make more sense if they were automated machines... otherwise as you say, they've been chilling with no one to talk to for a long time!
You can negotiate trade agreements with Fallen Empires most of the time, unless they hate your empire, right? Perhaps that is who the enclaves normally do business. If the enclaves really are extremely ancient, as they seem to be, doesn't that mean they would probably regard equally longstanding institutions as reliable customers? Perhaps even patrons.
I could see a really REALLY desperate galaxy deciding to unleash something like the Gray Tempest as a last ditch effort to stop the Prethoryn Scourge. Kinda like the Halo Rings: they'll kill everyone but they'll also kill the Scourge.
I found this event recently, and it seems to be a reference to a Doctor Who two-parter called Silence of the Library/Forest of the Dead, where alien microbes called the Vashta Nerada capable of rapidly disintegrating humans and using their corpses infect a library planet
@@TheRedKing It's definitely worth a watch. You don't need to know much back story before, so that's a good thing. Also check out the episode "Don't Blink", or maybe it's just "Blink".. That shit still terrifies me to this day..

Question: "How would the Forerunners compare to current endgame Stellaris technologies, feats, and factions?" I seen videos of what you could do currently in game like create ridiculously massive megastructures the size of a solar system. And there are even some mods with a extra endgame crisis call Blokkats and they seem pretty powerful in time-lapses. And if you become a crisis in Nemesis you can physically destroy the galaxy. Defensive structures and fleets are also very impressive. How would the Forerunners technologically compare to those current Stellaris feats? Have they met a equal powerscaling wise? Titans, Juggernauts, and ancient relics and the stellar beasts vs Forerunner ships would be amazing. I think a Titan, Juggernaut, and the Dreadnought would easily take on the Imperium's massively out of date Gloriana Class Battleships.

@@hansmatos2504 How would Titans, Juggernauts, the Ancient Dreadnought compare to greatest Forerunner warships?
