    Jerry Ingram Tallahassee, Florida .....1 st loss we personally knew ..... I never forget..... his parents owned the cleaners on Gaines Street in Tallahassee .... they had a tribute painted on outside wall of building.....1967

      They had Jerry's quote painted .... I think I can remember it as "it's a great day to live in Tallahassee"

      Jerry was killed just a few days before his 19th birthday ..... seems like yesterday...... yes it does..... killed Sept 27th.....his birthday was in October....

    This is one of the few stories where a dead soldier saved a living soldier from gun fire. God bless them.
