Mr. Kelter, I know you will be watching this video, and I hope you read this comment. When you meet with your fellow Vietnam Vets, please let them know this country truly respect your service and we are forever grateful for your courage and sacrifice. Unlike those from Berkley, who now hide the cowardice of their youth, know this country welcomes you and your brothers home.

Thank you Larry for all your work in recording history for those of us who couldn't go. I am aware that there were a few Canadians there as well. Have you done some of their stories?

I have featured several of my Canadian war stories here on my UA-cam channel and on my Voices of History radio station, and I have dozens more in my archives which also need to be seen and heard. Could I interest you and others to help sponsor some of them? lcappetto.wixsite.com/sponsoravet

What’s crazy is how many stories I hear about a guy getting his haircut and the very next day the barber was dead as he was a vc. I think so many of these guys hear the stories of others and just use it’s part of their own.

Don't forget that guy did a few hundred hair cuts a day! So a few hundred people have had that happen.

The young, wounded G.I. who was hiding, and discovered by a young NVA who didn’t expose him, was mentioned in General Hal Moore’s, then a lt. colonel, and Joseph Galloway in their book, "We Were Soldiers Once and Young;" I can’t remember his name but he was a Native American from the Carolinas, Cherokee?,Choctaw?, but anyway Native Americans have an uncanny sense of direction, as there’re other documented stories of Native Americans doing the same. Unfortunately, that young man passed away about 10 yrs later from a car accident, i think, as i read the book over 30 yrs ago.
