Ryan Gosling literally stole the show. Even Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas admitted that he did stole the show. I love the facts that everyone was a part, and that this was supposed to be inspired by Gentlemen Prefer Blondie starting Marilyn Monroe.
Ryan Gosling is primarily an actor which is probably why you don’t know him. He does sing in a few of his movies (Barbie and La La Land being the most well known) and he learned to sing on Mickey Mouse Club as a child star I believe. He also used to have a band called Dead Man’s Bones, you can find their album on UA-cam if you liked this and wanted to hear more :D
Now we just need Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh, Timothee Chalamet, Anne Hathaway, and Gal Gadot to appear in a Barbie sequel, with Emma Stone as Barbie’s best friend Midge who’s in love with Ryan’s Ken, and Cillian Murphy as Human Ken in the real-world, who’s Sasha’s (Ariana Greenblatt) teacher, and the love interest of Margot’s human stereotypical Barbie (Barbara Handler) in a Barbie sequel whenever Greta and Margot are planning on doing it right after when Greta gets done filming Chronicle of Narnia on Netflix. I DO hope that the original actors like America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Ariana Greenblatt, Will Ferrell, Kingsley Ben-Adir (who also played Raggae singer Bob Marley in Bob Marley: One Love) Scott Evans, Alexandra Shipp, Michael Cera, Dua Lipa, and John Cena (Mermaid Ken) appear in the sequel too. Also, I think they should bring back Mark Ronson to compose and write more songs for the sequel (probably make it a musical this time) and probably for a Ken movie and Allan spin-off. We definitely need a musical broadway. Let’s start a petition!
Wolfgang Van Halen went unrecognized that night, mainly because he was only in the closing shot. But, in reality, he was more instrumental in the making of the song itself than Slash. Just fyi.

Proof that the Academy and Golden Globes are so overrated. Those amazing, talented people don’t need an Oscar, Grammy, nor Golden Globe to prove that they’re amazing actors, screenwriters, songwriters, singers, directors, & producers. Those awards needs them.
I think that song probably should’ve won for Best Original Song, but congrats to Billie and Finneas though (even though the studio versions was way too sad & depressing for me to hear. That’s why I stopped watching the Barbie movie due to that being too depressing 😢. Either way, that movie was fantastic. I loved it! Greta Gerwig was a fantastic choice to direct & write!) I kinda of like the live version of “What Was I Made For?” way better than a studio version. The way she sang it, she’s such an angel ❤
