Definitely an optical illusion. "Dead level" is a pretty good trick. The plank can be positioned to be slightly uphill without a noticeable/observable change in the leveler. If the ball can really roll uphill, position the plank such that the leveler clearly shows a slanted position. Prove me wrong. :)
But he didn't say that the ball was rolling uphill. Just that it was rolling on a level surface. If you make the board unlevel, obviously the ball will roll downhill. But the only way to know for sure is to take a level and a ball and go try it there for yourself
I don’t understand how people see a house slanted like that and think that has absolutely NOTHING to do with why things act the way they do inside the house. Make it level and I bet the mysterious “gravitational anomaly” goes away.
They had one of these at Six Flags here in Texas when I was a kid. It’s all about false perspective and fooling the eye and brain. There isn’t a gravitational anomaly involved. They are a lot of fun though.
This place has been on my mind since I was a little kid. I'm 41 years old and still fascinated and I definitely need to visit this place before I pass into my own secret spot.
I haven't know about this since I was a kid. I'm 47 now and I definitely want to visit it. That and Universal Studios California to go to Super Nintendo World are the 2 main places I still want to go to.
Yea, its a 75 year old cabin that was in a landslide without being completely structurally corrupted somehow. Yet all the wood looks solid and brand new and everything purpose built so that hundreds of thousands of tourists can safely play around in it without being injured or weakening the structure and having it shutdown by the public safety commission. Exit thru the giftshop folks. We get it.
After it was in the landslide it was re structured to be safe. Go there for yourself. Try the water trick. The water will run up hill there it's nuts man.
You can make a small model of this at home. It's an illusion to the eye. The foundation of house is angled differently, while the slanted furniture increases the illusion. Thank me later 😀
In NJ as a kid, I used to go to a spot called "gravity hill". If you drove to the bottom of an obvious hill and put your vehicle in neutral, you would roll backwards up the hill.
We have a place called gravity hill in Southern California that is actually inside of a cemetery.. cool to know there are more of them .. i gotta check out the 1 in NJ

Wow Oregon's mystery spot and California's mystery spot both have the same cabin and story , what are the chances of that . incredible or incredibly unbelievable ?
Because George Prathe copied it all the way down to the backstory. There a similar thing here in Ottawa, Canada called the Crooked Kitchen in the Science and Tech Museum. Haven't been in decades but remember the feeling of fascination.
It doesn't matter what level there is a broom doesn't stand on its bristles. Also it doesn't matter which way you lean your gonna fall. It literally resembles what happens in space except there is enough gravity to keep you grounded. Its as if its inside some kind of gravity bubble where its less than everything around it.
Of course everyone is going to look like they're standing at a Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal lean if you hold the camera so the shack is upright. The building is at like a 45 degree tilt so you stand to compensate that, it's the same as if you're stood on a steep slope you're going to be leaning into it.
@@sofiarusso3038 No, but as I said.. It's no different to standing on a steep slope, you're going to be leaning into the slope else you'll fall down it. Plus the camera is being held parallel to the walls so the building looks straight and everyone inside it are stood at an angle. It's just common sense with how gravity and basic physics works.
@@ArkansasGamer I can list off four possibilities of how that could be done.. 1) he's using a tiny spirit level on one foot of a 2 metre board, at the very end, not the middle or where the ball is starting from, therefore there's no proof the balls starting point doesn't have a slight kink to get the ball rolling. 2) the trench the ball sits in could be cut to form a slope while the actual board is still flat. 3) the closer side of the board's length which doesn't have a spirit level on it could be uneven. 4) if the board and trench both are actually level, then the trench could be cut in a way where the starting point is narrower than the finishing point, with would result in the ball rolling towards the wider opening of the trench thanks to gravity pushing the ball down the widening path as there's less resistance if it's path is widening (the trench gap doesn't have to be obviously narrower, but just enough for the ball to roll).
@@ArkansasGamer My 4th example can easily be tested at home too, just put two long flat objects in a V shape on a table and put a ball on the bottom of the V where the two objects touch and I guarantee the ball will roll to the open end of the V, you can make the gap as narrow or wide as you want, as long as it's a perfectly flat surface the ball should still roll, just the narrower the gap the slower it will start to roll.
They will have answers eventually, nothing is hidden forever, its just that we can only observe the phenomena, not dissect it to study it properly(the house structure, the base, the soil/ground) as it would essentially break the whole thing, but this is not unsolvable by any means, its just cause circunstances does not allow for proper study case.
Marin Headlands Vista Point San Francisco CA.. Cabin built in 1940.. Gun emplacements and experimental research in 1904 directly in that area. I remember the welded doors with locks that went further into the mountain. Some may have been filled in or buried. Funny thing is Terminator Genisys movie (2015) Its displayed as a secret point for time machine use. Coincidence? 🤔 I stood in one spot as the tallest in the room.. Then I stood in another spot as the shortest in the room.. Which was supposed to be impossible. I stood sideways. Gravity is distorted or folded. It feels strange when you move about the site for too long. The lock hanging from the chain and me hanging from it hung at an odd slanted direction.. If it was just magnetic only the lock would been drawn in that direction and not me.. Authentic. Enjoyable enlightening experience the showed me I cannot trust my perceptions as much as I thought i could.
And yes the house is side ways to amplify the subtle effect. However if they tore the cabin down. It would be just as strange in occurrences regardless.
I remember back in the 1980's and early 1990's they had a mystery spot inside of Knot's Berry Farm and it was awesome.. But of course I learned the truth about that mystery spot... That It Was 100% Man Made By Some Smart Physicists.. It's all in the way it's built and the laws of physics which are being manipulated by man to a certain level.. .. it's still awesome to this day that a person could figure out a way to freak people out/bewilder people for many years.
My guess is the illusion works by removing the idea of up and down in a small area, hence the fences eliminating the surrounding landscape. The house has a skewed design that is so out of level that it makes the board which is on a slight down angle appear as if it’s flat compared to the environment. Very very well done illusion I must admit
I love how Tesla seems to be this guy’s benchmark for brilliance. “A NASA scientist and a Tesla engineer” couldn’t figure out this place… “If I could put a battery, magnet, or small hamster in a ball like this, I’d probably work for Tesla”…
I wonder if that is the same cabin that that woman supposedly stumbled upon in the woods and heard people inside so she knocked on the door and a person dressed in very old clothing answered and told her to come in. She was half way in and her friend grabbed her and yanked her out feeling something wasn't right. Afterwards she went to the hospital because her entire left side went paralyzed and doctors have no idea how this happened. Its actually a documented case im going to see if its in the same place. Im wondering if this happened before it slid down the hill. If it was after maybe there is even wilder phenomenon where the bubble distorts time and space causing a literal "looking glass" and it appeared new and how people were inside during the past.
The height trick was hilarious. "If a put a tall person downhill and a short person uphill on an elevated plank... they're the same height. Miracle, perhaps? Why yes, yes it is."
I remember going here as a child. I was standing up on the steps like the girl in the thumbnail and standing in a way that defied gravity. Then all of the sudden it was like it shifted back to normal and I completely tipped over and fell forward. Thank God a family member was there to catch me! Weird!

I think the leveler is not fake, but the edge of track is not parallel, actually the ball is rolling down because the gap is little bit bigger .
There can be 2-3 mm error point, so the plank anyway is tilted.
I'm sure no one in 80 years has ever thought of that.
