Thanks Jessie for the advice that leggy pak choi can be planted deeply. Also, just love seeing your relationship with your mum in the garden. So precious ❤
I also like long trowls and Digestives. I have also used some jiffy things but mine don't have a bottom on them, so maybe could make life a bit easier.
What a good use for those ubiquitous old compost bags! I'm gong to try it! Congratulations on paint a year of blogging, and sharing adventures in the plot!!
For the 52 vlogs video. Maybe do a questions vlog with a celebration drink on plot. Ask your followers to send questions on this comment section or even do it live with questions as they are asked. Keep up the good work ☀️
Happy spring jess, we should actually give you something to celebrate vlog 52, for being he absolute inspirational joy that you are and have been for this past year. Thank you Jessie. X
Happy 50!! Maybe for 52 you could show off your chard lasagne recipe, as you sowed chard back in vlog 1 and still dead keen to see it!!! And get ratted on a 2020 bottle of fizz whilst you do it?!?
Lovely episode in the spring sunshine. You done a great job of panel fence and “D” bed. Episode 52 suggestion - you mention the sour dough starter. Some of your favourite allotment recipes cooking with Mum (and with wine) would be fun 🍷🌮🥗🍞. Have a fab week 🌱🚴🏻
Hi Jessie, my wife and I have recently discovered your videos and are really enjoying watching the new vlogs and working our way through your back catalogue. Thank you for all the hard work you are putting into them. Regarding the suggestion for an episode 52 celebration, how about planting a small tree to mark the occasion? Your anniversary tree; or you could just buy some booze and do a live chat. I watch another youtuber who regularly does live streams and he gets funnier the more he drinks. Either is good. Thanks again.
I love your use of "excited" it expresses your joy in what you are doing and I feel joyful and inspired even though I'm heading into Winter *sigh*. Have your party/bbq, invite some friends, if you can, not sure what your lockdown requirements are, who like gardening also and celebrate your year of vlogs.
Thanks Jessie... fabulous as always. I can't grow hellebores for love nor money in my garden... don't know why, but I'll keep on trying. Posts and "D" look great BTW. Have an 'exciting' week. 👍🐓🐓🌞
Another grand vid! Love watching... ill be on my allotment this weekend digging out old raspberry canes that are spent and not producing a decent crops anymore
Happy Spring! Fabulous vlog - one of the best. You got so much done on Sunday and you are still excited ;-). Champagne on the plot 37 sounds like a great idea to celebrate vlog 52 and 53 and 54 and 55... :-) Cheers
I've never noticed your use of "excited". I have noticed you say "absolutely" quite a bit. :) But we all do this, just with different words, so it's no big deal.
How about a new plant or ornament for the plot to celebrate 1st vlog birthday, including a wee birthday party on the 52nd vlog (aka wine and cake with mum!) You could use your art skills to make something (not that you've got time!) Maybe you have a sculpture piece you've made previously that could be fashioned into a centrepiece for the new allotment woodland show garden!?
Spring!!! I just wanted to say: 1. You're editing skills have really improved in a year! It's so fun to see. 2. You're gonna be faster on your bike in no time (trust me, I'm Dutch and I've cycled my whole life, haha). Oh and maybe you could create some art-thingy for a 1-year anniversary giveaway? Maybe nature inspired? :)
Lily the cat is so cheeky, I wonder if she spends as much time with other allotment people 🤔. Also remove your calender in your shed its bad luck to leave them up, if you believe in that stuff heehee. Love watching you all 🥰 All the best
Hurrah it's now Spring my favourite season of the year. I have planted some Rocket and Charlotte potatoes in the ground but still have to plant the Wija seed potatoes and there's still some Rocket and Charlotte left for planting in April. The main crop will be planted next month including the Maris Piper in containers.
I've liked watching all of your videos over the past year. It's so nice to see how you are changing your plot all the time and all the different plants you can grow. Congratulations on 50 vlogs! How EXCITING! The bird houses your dad made are lovely. I do worry about Lily, though. Cats are a cause of songbirds decreasing. As the babies leave the nest, they will sometimes stay on the ground until they are better at flying, while the parents continue to feed them. If the kitty locates the babies, they will be killed. Nature is not always so nice. Sorry to have to say it. Anyways, I'm really looking forward to vlog 52 and wondering what you will do for that one year anniversary. Maybe a whimsical garden decoration?
Jessie your so inspirational. Loads of great bird ideas on RSPB website reasonable price and great info. I have some other ideas I shall message privately. I would also like to spend you some seeds love n light 🌺
Hello Jess Congratulations girly love the opening Pink Prosecco! In regards to your noodles, fresh greens you can drop in an egg swirl around and a dash of L.P. Egg drop soup!? Blessings to all hi Muma 🐝
Another great vlog Jess. I love what you do and your enthusiasm is infectious. Maybe for the 52 vlog do something about what goes into behind the scenes and equipment, programs etc that are used to actually run your channel and incorporate loads of booze 🍺🍷🥂🍸🤪.
I know I'm terribly late, but I'm watching every video from the beginning in chronological order and so despite that, I think I will comment AS IF i were on time: How about putting the birdhouse on the tallest post you just installed? That middle one? Okay, there it is. And now I will just continue to watch your videos in order and see if perhaps great minds think alike 😆
Love your plot and how you and your mum work together.Question.... Have you ever grown Carlin peas? otherwise known as parched peas in the north. I have some spares if you would like some.
Everything’s looking great! I did some potatoes in bags too, so I’m looking forward to seeing how they do. Only another 60 to plant, but they are going in the ground. Tuna cat is like a bloomin monkey in trees! 😂 muchly envious of your London temperatures, but we are warming up slowly lol
Morning Jessie and mom 😂 don’t know if you have ever told us moms name. I would think the “ink” concern comes from current crappy bags but the old bags where like most older things “made to last”. Congratulations on almost 8 thousand subs you are killing it in the UA-cam gardening world beating out some of the long timers. Happy summer equinox which coincides with vlog 50 how exciting 😂😂 sorry just had to use that word. Fence looks great and will make a lovely back drop, as it’s above the pond you could add some bug boxes. I normally don’t bother taking off the jiffy net but I do rip open the bottom just to help with roots. As always 🐝 safe and stay gardening thanks for sharing ✌️🇨🇦💐🥬🧑🌾🌶🥕
it is exciting Jessie the sun is shining the weather is sweet yeah I have dirt under my nails already going off for a bath now filled up one planter with compost
Drink! Have a lovely lunch at the plot. Year in review? Maybe a series of funny parts over the last year. What were each of your favorite changes? What future plans are on the plot list? What was your biggest fail this last year?
The champagne idea is fab! I would join you if we can sort out the time difference 😂. I’m commenting below Tristan as I think the suggestion has merits Dear Lily is too smart about the bird houses.
Jess when I saw where you tacked the bird boxes I thought too low too near a roof or fence think they need to go up high in a tree to protect the baby birds. So the cat isn’t yours yet is it just a feral one? The garden bed is great. As is the allotment. Well done. As you go into string we go into autumn and how quick are daylight is reducing. So I enjoy looking at the spring flowers and blossoms in your plot.
I planted out 'Nicola' salad potatoes today on my plot, which are a 2nd early I think and a waxy flesh when boiled. They seem to do well for me, so I grow them every year now and I like the taste - I use them as a general purpose potato though, chips and boiled and used warm, not just for a cold salad potato. You can leave them to get bigger for a maincrop and one year the top foliage got blight, but it didn't travel down to the spuds.
I know it may sound cheesy but I think a year on the plot for number 52 would be lovely as you and mom have come so far and we have come along with you through the good and the bad. ✌️🇨🇦🐝 safe
Also, the robin's nest is situated a few inches from a cat ladder (the oak and the branch the nest box is resting on) ? Won't get many chicks fledging from that nest this year, if you get a nest at all me thinks. Might try putting some sort of barrier shelf under the nest boxes that makes if difficult for interested beasties to dine.
Hey toast for me to I love your channel u and your mum imcecited about spring to we have had a miserable negative 18 not like us for oklahoma. We normally have mild winters . So I'm excieded to start spring.
I was going to say the same thing, away from cats to. Our blue tits make hundreds of journeys backwards a forwards all day so they need space and a bit of height, facing south I think?
Congratulations on Vlog 50! What about setting up a Just Giving page in celebration of Blog 52? It is a well known fact that gardening really helps mental well being so maybe there is a garden based charity that could benefit. If each of your subscribers donated £1 then you could raise quite a bit of money. Just a thought. I've certainly benefitted from watching your wonderful and informative videos, so thank you!
To celebrate have a garden party
Another fantastic video. Very enjoyable 😉👍 thanks for sharing 👍
Hi Briliant video, plot is looking great 👍 🏴
Thanks Jessie for the advice that leggy pak choi can be planted deeply. Also, just love seeing your relationship with your mum in the garden. So precious ❤

I also like long trowls and Digestives. I have also used some jiffy things but mine don't have a bottom on them, so maybe could make life a bit easier.

Congratulations you got there with ease :)
🇨🇦🇨🇦Hey from Gander, Canada!
Oh well done. Lovely comments, well deserved .
A year in lockdown...and now it is spring
Out-takes video, maybe a live event?
Jessie, I think "crick off" should become a new word, yes, it could very well become popular!
Happy 50!! Maybe for 52 you could show off your chard lasagne recipe, as you sowed chard back in vlog 1 and still dead keen to see it!!! And get ratted on a 2020 bottle of fizz whilst you do it?!?
Congratulations on episode 50! Amazing anniversary for you and mum, always such fun to watch the two of you working together.

Thank you Jessie for helping me through lockdown and inspiring me to grow stuff. 50 is gold so maybe plant some golden yellow things?
Great in every way.

Happy spring! I'll toast with kombucha.but no wotsits I'm on a diet...
I was watching to the end to make "you're gonna get cats in that bird box" -comment. Didn't expect them that fast, though! :D
Thanks Jessie... fabulous as always. I can't grow hellebores for love nor money in my garden... don't know why, but I'll keep on trying. Posts and "D" look great BTW. Have an 'exciting' week. 👍🐓🐓🌞

You could name your allotment on your 52nd vlog. Maybe ask for suggestions on your 51st vlog. I would suggest Fleur's Vista
Love how your whole face contract when you laugh, like at 1:34 😁

How about a sculpture inspired by lockdown and nature’s helping through it?
I know a subscribers bbq and piss up lol 😆😂 we can only dream of such things
Wow 50!!
Hi to celebrate have a garden party
Live q an a pls x
You might want to move the nesting box right next to your shed door as i dont think birds will nest in a high traffic area xxx
I was going to say the same thing, away from cats to. Our blue tits make hundreds of journeys backwards a forwards all day so they need space and a bit of height, facing south I think?
Naughty cat!
You could get ratted with wine while being on live. That way we could join you!

Hi jess we have made some wild garlic salt this week
