Pen, Cob and the Cyggies Set Off on an Excursion.

Please forgive the slightly blurry and shaky start. This pair of swans successfully raised cygnets in the 2020 season on the Montgomery Canal in the Gungrog district of Welshpool, Powys. They were clearly good and experienced parents and one fully grown cygnet was extremely reluctant to leave when the time came that following November.
I was entertained here by the way that the second parent swan to take to the water made sure that all the brood was present before they took their daily exercise.
Such graceful creatures but if they decided to take their leisure as a family on the towpath then it took a brave soul to walk through them!
