I get to change my babies diaper today!!!! He is in the NICU
Yay! Congratulations!! Hope you and your baby are doing well!
Congrats mama, hang in there💞💕
It's been 7months, I hope your baby's home, healthy and happy now❤️
Baby's* 😁 hope your baby is healthy and happy
How is your sweet baby doing? I'm high risk due late June.
I just tired this with my 5 week old daughter and it worked!! She used to hate baths and with this technique she was so content. She fussed a little when I took her out that's how much she liked it!!😂 Thank you 💕
I watched your videos so much when I was pregnant and I had my baby three months ago now. Just saw this on my feed and just the sound of your voice is bringing back memories of the hope and wonder of what my birth would be. I’m sad it didn’t go the way I wanted but thank you for all your tips and encouragement!!
What happened with your birth plan
Don't be sad. mine didn't go the way i wanted too.lol.so much for watching all thesevideos. in the end i was a mess as it was too painful.i gave birth 3 weeks ago.via vacuum assisted vaginal birth.at 37 years I'm too tired for another one.not forgetting i got the blues, fighting the inner feelings is rejecting baby and also uti for 3 weeks aa bacteria was resistant to meds.and then the stupid stitches were poking my sides below. I'm still struggling but im.blessed to have a patient husband. One he'll of a journey for sure
As a lactation consultant in hospital and private practice I see first-hand how parents feel so anxious about taking care of their newborn baby. As you said, there is a learning curve for anything new that we do; and this is exactly what I tell them. Practice and LOVE makes perfect. I love the swaddle tip! Be well. 👋🏽
My baby went through a hating baths phase. She would scream the whole time, it made me scared I was doing something wrong or that the water wasn’t the right temperature.
Luckily it only lasted a couple weeks, I just sponge bathed her during that time. Then I would put her in the tub without water (and clothes on) and gradually put water in the tub to get her used to the sensation. After that I would slowly remove her clothes. This really helped ease her into regular baths!
Thanks for the info you provide!
Another tip from my own experience: change the time of day you're giving a bath. I was told to bath my son in the evening and he hated it. So we bath him in the morning and he absolutely loves it!
I agree 💯
This was a lifesaver for my 5 week old 🙌 first time trying a swaddle bath tonight and no crying at all, she was so calm and content.
My 2 month old usually isn’t a fan of baths. Tried this way with her today and she loved it! Was super calm and actually cried when it was time to take her out! Thank you 💓
Thank you for this video! My son has had four baths in almost four weeks because we have been so freaked out about how he screams... all of them have been really hard. Last night I gave him a bath with me and nursed him the whole time so he would be calm. My husband and I had a much easier time bathing him while he was calm!
This was great. I haven't bathed an infant in like 8 years and my husband never has. I've definitely never seen a swaddle bath either. This makes me feel much better with our first baby almost here!
Thanx you for this 🙌🏼💖 I thought my baby was getting used to his baths, though I bath him once (sometimes twice) a week at the moment, but when I bathed him last night, he was back to screaming his lungs out... He's two months old now, and I saved this video some time ago, I'm glad I did...
My daughter didn't like baths, so I started putting a space heater in the bathroom and shutting the door to get the temp in the room warmer. Even if bath water is warm, it cools fast and baby's wet skin will get cold once exposed to the air. She likes her baths better this way!
I’ve always nursed my son after his bath; skin-to-skin for comfort when he was a newborn until about 9 or 10 months. Fortunately, I managed to prepare myself mentally at bath times to tolerate/handle his cries/screams.
I actually didn’t bathe my son until his cord fell off. He only had his hair washed at the hospital, that’s it. I, myself believed that it would be beneficial for him (those reasons you listed) to wait. I plan to do the same with my second son after he comes. I’ll just wash his hair and then give him his first bath after his cord falls off. :)
I watched all your videos. It was very helpful. I delivered my baby on 10th July. Never have I imagined that I will go through this intense pain. I thought I will never make it. But finally seeing him made it all worth. But when I had to put him into phototherapy by myself I felt I am breaking into millions pieces each moment he spent in that machine. It was difficult for first few days but it made me stronger🥰
You are amazing!!! My little girl hated baths and would cry as soon as she’d feel water, I tried it your way and not one year came out!!
I never knew to swaddle the baby! 😮 my other two kids were fine in the tub, but my third baby hates bath time and so do I. I can’t wait to try this. Thank you so much for sharing these techniques ❤😅
Bridget, you have helped me so much on my journey of becoming a mom! I wanna thank you from top to bottom of my heart!! You have covered so many topics and every time I search on UA-cam, you have an exact video answering my question!
This is very helpful 😍♥️💕I can’t thank you enough please keep doing this newborn care video 💘💘💘
You are helping me feel so much more prepared! Thank you a million times for lessening my anxiety. You are intelligent, likeable, and easy to understand. 💞
Bridget’s videos definitely help me feel more prepared, especially for labor and delivery. I went into it without fear and without medication/epidural. I just went with the flow. The body pretty much does everything on its own…we just help it along by staying calm and breathing. :)
My 5 week old hateddd baths, she didn’t even fuss last night when we tried this method, so helpful!!!
This video is very timely! Just gave my newborn her first bath this morning and she did NOT like it!! 😂
My 2weeks old newborn does the startled reflexes, will try swaddled bath tomorrow for sure.
My baby's cord stump just fell off. We are giving him a sink bath for the first time today. Great timing! Thanks for doing this video.
Thx for this video. Could you do a video on nighttime routines? Mainly diaper changes. Not sure how to calm my baby during the night.
I quickly found out that feeding my baby before diaper changes helps ALOT. Changing on a hungry, and maybe even sleepy, baby really hurts your ears😖
Andrine Helén Kjeldsberg Yes! I do this with my baby and no cries this way!
Best newborn bathing video on the internet. This is so helpful
I'm grateful for these videos! prepping myself to welcome the 1st baby. how long can I bath the baby without soap?
This is super helpful. I'm a first time mama due in August. Thank you so much xx
Congratulations on your bundle to be! You will do great mama! I have quite a few videos for first time mamas as well if you ever want to check them out. You are in the home stretch, so exciting!!!
Me too 😊
My due date is next week Saturday but I wouldn't mind him coming right now
This is perfect timing for me...my 3 week old HATES baths. Going to try this!
I remember being told that parents normally have too cold bath water, so maybe try warmer?☺️ The water temperature drops very fast, so keep that in mind. I think the water should feel warm, but not burning. If it felt fine to my skin it should be fine to the baby as well. After all, they did come from inside of us where there is alot warmer than outside on our skin🙈
At how many weeks do you recommend bathing the baby
I am so grateful that I did this video ....I am searching on this topic for so long and could not find anything that I liked .....keep making this videos
Totally loving you. You have everything for the questions I need answered or fears I need consoled on.
Really wish I would've seen this 5 months ago when my baby would scream during the bath. I eventually figured out I was making the water too cool. Idk why I didn't think of this.
What's the best way to clean their bum and back while supporting their head ?
Tiger in the tree hold! That's how I do it 😊
My son loves his hair to be washed 😍 This was a good video even though he doesn’t have a problem with baths. Thanks for the info!
I’m building my baby registry and I don’t know how many swaddles to order! Which by the way the ones linked are out of stock so will have to look for other ones.
My son hates baths, even to this day. He’s 19 months now. There are some times when he’s pretty chill playing around after I’ve done all that’s needed to be done, but yeah. I am hoping my second little dude likes baths. ;)
Thank God bath time my son is fine. He does hate diaper changes no matter what I do...😭😭😭
You have the best videos and I appreciate all the amazon healthy product links. Thank you so much 💓 🙏🏼
I(we) need to change our baby soap (right now maybe). Thanks for your useful information.
My 2 week old has baby acne, should I wash his face daily? What would be the best way to treat this?
Thank you. My 3 month old doesn't like baths yet.
You are sooooo amazing- thank you for all of your videos!🤗
Thank you. Super helpful 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Once or twice
I love your videos, thank you for sharing ❤️
Very helpful- thank you!
I've heard probiotics should be refrigerated, because those are the best kinds. Also aren't added gums bad for the gut?
Such a useful video, thank you ❤️
I’m very thankful for these videos as I just had a baby! Thank you so much for your informative videos ☺️
Hey Bridget! I’ve heard some people are hesitant to take out their babies in public before they’re 3/4 months old to protect them from bacteria etc- do you have any recommendations for this? I’m also asking for “normal” times, not just pandemic times :).
Brittany, I think it is personal preference and whatever YOU feel comfortable with. We started taking my baby out at about 3-4 weeks old.
Personally I think it is good to expose them to the public early on so they can build antibodies.
I would just give her a bath when we got home, make sure I got binky disinfectants if her binkies dropped, etc.
Not saying I would take her to a crowded party or a sick infested crowd but a stroll through the park, a trip to the store, etc. 🥰
@@officialmakingmoneywithmama Yes, I agree!
How do we bathe our newborn in the bathtub with us?
Wonderful video as always
Zoe organics body wash is nontoxic & a super picky biochemist says it is super clean
Does it matter if the doctor applies lube to the perineal area before baby is born?
Loved video..
Thank you :) :) :)
Would this be okay if they still had the umbilical stump attached?
❤

Pls talk less
She's an educator... She's going to be doing a lot of talking.
Talk less show more
too much talking
You talk a lot than showing how to do particular things
It’s good if you show things how to actually do it
Don’t say any such thing to her.we’re already grateful to her for providing such important tips which no one tells us.
Very helpful! Thanks you so much for this video!
