Hey Brent and Ester! I didn't get to see you two there, but I did get some pictures of The General! Man, that thing is huge in person! The videos don't do it justice. Awesome build, and a great show overall. Glad you two were able to make it!

Hey Brent and Ester, thanks for visiting Texas again. We hope you had a great time with us mostly southern guys and gals. Did you see any sectioned 49, 50 or 51 Ford Business Coupes? It seems there are a lot of chopped tops running around in Texas. In the mid to late 50s sectioning a couple of inches out of those Fords was a popular custom trend. I had started one in Washington state 22 years ago and had the body, doors, trunk and front fenders done before moving back to Texas. I really loved the look as it made them appear to be an early version of a slightly stretched 2 door sedan version TBird of the mid 50s. Thanks for the walk around of the car show. Some great cars and trucks and a lone rat rod Harley.😊😊

If you do Route 66 you’ll be coming through my home town Amarillo Texas. You would need to come up to the panhandle almost straight up from Austin.
Good to see you both enjoying some good quality leisure time away. There were a lot of cool cars there. Did you bring any parts back? Looked like there was a lot to choose from.

I wanted to go so bad and meet you and the missus with my 89-year old dad who became a fan but the air ride in my Ram decided to die 5 days ago and I had to cancel. Better luck next year. You can meet him when he's 90 :D

My wife and I have found that a vacation with little or no plans is the best way to go. the cars and trucks at the show run the whole spectrum. Got to love the flatties though. Have a safe trip home.

Maybe someday you will come a little further southwest to New Mexico or Arizona, Socal and Nevada. Bring your trailer because here you can by old cars that are not full of rust holes. Perhaps a trip to the Hot August Nights show in Reno NV. or the SEMA show in Las Vegas.

Seeing some of these classic (roadster) hotrods I keep imagining mounting a Corvair engine, either a 110 hp or 140 hp with "spider" intake and 4brl carb, up front and 4sp transaxle in back. ;-)
Now that would be unique.
I had a concept of a duel drop tank roadster.
What's lost in modern cars... rear leg room.
Alas, no Corvairs that I could spot, but I was expecting not seeing one... maybe a pickup or van? ;-D
That motorbike n side car was cool af, so much eye candy....I'm really getting a liking for the COE's ....lol
Well hopefully me n what should be my fresh apache lugging the mystery machine should be there next year....just too busy again this year but on the apache
