I'm in the process of restoring mine that I've had for the last 40 years... It still cuts the lawn fine with only an eight hp engine...They sure don't make lawn tractors like they used to... I won't be letting it go... Old but reliable...
For this sickle bar it fits full size cutting teeth. I got some teeth from Tractor Supply co and the rest I had laying around from the farm equipment I have
@@mikescubcadetworld - it quite literally looks like a bulldozer ran over it 🤣 it’s not squished flat like a pancake but it’s definitely beyond any repair. I actually bought a 1000 or 1200 (I can’t recall) to use as a donor and just put the 8hp in it, swap the Vin tag and put new decals on, but the donor tractor is in excellent shape. I can’t bring myself to pull the motor. 🤣
There’s not too many out there… I’ve seen probably 15-20 different ones at shows but that’s anywhere between Connecticut out thru to Ohio… the sad part is as rare as they are people still part them out

They definitely don’t make them like they used to… they last forever so you would never need to buy another. Once restored it’ll go another 40+ years
Basically finished my restore and using my 800 to pull firewood out of the bush. What a workhorse. Now if I can post a pic or two...
My neighbor just scored 6 Cubs with decks barn find.
Gonna be fun to get one mowing again!
Very nice I like these videos
Glad you enjoy them! I have a few more I’ll be making !
Love the video! Where did you get the new teeth for the sickle that you want to put on?

I have an 800 just like this! The only difference is mine was run over by a bulldozer! Other than that it’s mint! 🤣
Oh no😂 how crushed is it? I got lucky with this one , got a good deal on it and it’s a pretty nice machine

@@RustyZippermeh, unless you're trying to rip someone reselling it as a "real" 800 there's no point to doing the swap anyway.
@@tommyw.9424 - yeah, that’s pretty much my thought process. I don’t sell my stuff nor attend any shows so it just sits covered up in a field.
Very cool, have only ever seen 2 800's in person.

That seat correct?
It is not, it’s off a Kubota garden tractor… pretty comfortable so I’ve kept it around
