  • Ed Good of Pennsylvania likes his Cub Cadet! There were not very many of these 800s built, since they were a little under-powered for the size. Ed Good has an affinity for the 800 in particular and Cub Cadets overall. A great collector with a beautifully restored machine! Good job Ed!

My Uncle had one of the first generation Cub Cadets. It was built like a tank.

I have the first made off the line 800 here in Iowa. I’d sure love to talk to him about the 800’s

@@thaddeustroyer - indeed! I bought it that way, it has all of the rare items. Some years back I purchased a really nice 1200 that I was going to swap motors and repaint and make it an 800. But the 1200 is in actually nice shape and now I’d hate to pull it apart. So I have a half flattened 800 just laying around under a tarp in a list of 20 tractors and vehicles to work on 🤣

@RustyZipper oh! I thought "your" 800 was flattened by a dozer. Ya, I understand what you mean about the swap, sometimes ya buy something to make something else better but then you realize the parts machine is better than what you're trying to fix. Lol
