This is probably the best Optimus toy for the Bayformers. The first one sucked, DOTM had cheap easily breakable plastic, and AOE has backpacks on all of them, plus they're scaled down to deluxe sized. ROFT Optimus is the way to go.
Well, unique toys made a AOE/TLK optimus prime that is soooo good looking that you might think it can't transform, but it does! It has changeable faces! It has the shield, sword! It's just the best transformers figure!!!!! It also has no backpack!! 25/10 the best transformers figure ever!!
@godzillafan unique toy made a good design for the AOE Optimus, but it's just for the knight Optimus .The best Optimus for me is the design of mpm4 Optimus prime and the KO of that design is ls03,this make the most screen accurate and outstanding Optimus that I'VE ever seen :3 I'm not a fan of knight look Optimus. The black apple is making a KO Optimus base on the mpm4 too, and it's way more and more screen accurate than the ls03,waiting for the release:3
Thank god for this video. My kid got this for $1 at a garage sale. I suspect due to how much of a pain it is to transform. Getting the arms into place to do the nose was the god awful worst. Finally realized that Optimus’ head extended on the neck, and got it out of the way enough. I swear though. 100 x “I am Optimus Prime”
I hope Optibotomus knows his channel was our childhood. I remember watching him all through middle school watching him review toys I would never get. Ahh the good days
I love when figures are pretty much a jigsaw puzzle to transform because it usually further distances the vehicle mode from the robot mode; more realistic. This figure is well designed in my opinion.
kaleb prinze I agree. Some of them are ok though. But only a select few. I noticed its mostly the Deluxe and Voyager class figures that look good. I just bought for myself the deluxe Drift and high octane Bumblebee figure. These two looks pretty good. I'm also waiting for the Takara Voyager rusty Evasion Prime with the rusty look Prime had when Cade first found him in the movie. Thats another good one.

He would play the acoustic chords to Peace Of Mind by Boston which is what plays in the beginning here. As soon as he heard those chords he wanted the toy himself lol... Thanks, Paul.
Ahh the GOLDEN AGE of Transformers figures, Hasbro has really gone downhill since then. Even till this day, the ROTF Leader Class Optimus Prime is still THE BEST live-action movie Optimus mould.
This masterpiece action figure is just not available anymore... Im so sad that i didnt get the chance to buy it... I'm so glad this video is here! I found one of these at a Goodwill with all parts present for $3.99. I had no idea what I was getting into when I bought it lol
I find it absolutely hilarious that back in the day this was considered a difficult transformation. Obviously back in the day this was something completely new but the transformation on plenty of 3rd party, masterpiece and IMO even some WFC and SS figures are way more intense than this guy lol.
@@optibotimus I remember getting this guy for Christmas and my parents watching your review (as well as MANY others) trying for literally 3 hours to get him into truck mode lol.

You were instrumental in helping me You did very well trying to point out where all the tabs and stuff went and should anyone have any questions regarding the transformation of Optimus, this is the video they should be directed to. Thank you very much Optibotimus.
I need to get this figure. It's by far the best Optimus Prime figure ever. Planning on getting the revenge voyager from AOE that I believe it's only made in Japan so I better grab that too.
The "Revenge Optimus Prime" is just the old Voyager "Battle Blade Optimus Prime" with the nicer & darker paint scheme of Takara's DotM "Striker Optimus Prime". Which adds up to awesomeness. Just know that the Voyager mold DOES have a few transformation differences from the Leader (biggest example: the truck cab nose isn't a fold-away shell, it simply slides up the arms).
I remember watching this video when I was 7 - 8 yrs old (ish?). I've probably thinking whenever I say, "I wish I have this figure for myself." That I am 12 years old now, I'm feeling nostalgic!

Oh my fucking GOD. I sure hope this thing gets easier to transform with practice because transforming mine to truck mode out of the box for the first time was EXCRUCIATINGLY frustrating and difficult. I didn't have this nearly much trouble with Masterpiece Megatron. Jesus Christ, I have never wanted to throw a toy against a fucking wall so much in my entire life.
edwardelric880 I understand. The Instructions we're a bit (but not too much) vague, and it took a while for me to figure it out. But dude, it's not that bad. Hell I even snapped my fingers more transforming the Giant Starscream from Transformers Cybertron, and I still have both the Figures. In fact after I watched the video, I noticed the one step I was missing. I forgot to put Optimus's Chest pieces into the Grooves in his arms. But come on who would've saw that without watching the review. From then on it's been smooth sailing. the only other reason I could see having trouble transforming him is that you may be a bit too impatient.
EK OddLink You're right; now that I've had some practice he really isn't that bad, at all. That 1st transformation frustrated me to such a degree that I came on here and posted an obscenity-laden rant. The part that got me was getting the arms to stay tabbed together while you bring the chest pieces down into them to form the front window section of the cab.
At least the toy was complicated not the new shity instant 3 step changers which are SHIT idk why hasbro made them and the new toys are too simple you just have to move the front and the legs and put the fake chest and thats it
Thank you so much for showing the transformation from robot to truck mode. I just bought this figure from a consignment shop and he was in robot mode to start and did not come with instructions. I watched the first half of your video just to make sure his robot mode was correct. This is an amazing figure that I will try to transform at some point.

Wow, this prime is awesome. The Dark of the moon version sucked ass.
