bought the ROTF version back when it released and then tried to transform it back into truck. Of course I lost the instructions years ago so this video was percfect. Thanks man!
Very helpful tutorial. I recently purchased a revenge of the fallen version and the fact you specified differences between the different figures as you transformed it really helped.
i have the ROTF version, and the chest piece that becomes the windshield is especially difficult to pull out, and when i did pull it out, it was because a different hinge snapped out of place, not the intended part. i have no idea why they designed it like that. it was not designed to be removable at all, yet that's what they expect you to do. i can't imagine what it would be like if a kid played with this.
@@TMan978 i haven't bought any transformers since after ROTF, so i don't know the state of transformers toys today. as for my optimus prime, i decided to sand and smoothen the protruding area of the red part of the chest piece. now it's a little bit easier to pull out. in fairness, if it wasn't for that one flaw, i would have loved playing with it (i bought my transformers movie toys when they were still brand new). instead, i prefered playing with my 2007 leader class optimus prime which was easier to transform. it was only recently that i got back to it and appreciated how movie accurate the ROTF toy was.
I just got a Leader Prime today, I was having issues moving the windows forward because I didn't know how to do it, and then I found your video. Thank you for this, you just helped me out so much.
You're a life saver. For some reason every other reviewer has him from truck to robot, even tho he's packaged in robot mode. I'm glad I found this vid.
There is a difference in my video. Mine is specifically a transformation video and not a review. But the reason why the other reviewers are doing that is because they were stubborn. They feel like the robot mode is the main event so you might as well talk about the vehicle first plus going from vehicle to robot mode is always easier
@@TMan978 yeah, it's the big dramatic reveal. Which I can kinda get, but it's also not functional. If you're going to include the reverse transformation, include the proper one at the end of the review at least.
thank you Tman, I take my Rotf/Dotm off the shelf at least once a year to fiddle with it. but sure enough I get stumped turning him into truck mode when it comes to the arms. In that case I go to UA-cam and watch a video like this to help jar the memory. keep up the good work.
Thanks for always having great transformation videos. I have had this figure for years and never got around to transforming it. I always heard how hard he was, but with your instructions it was not a problem.
Thank goodness i found this video I just bought this same figure like a couple days ago and the transformation is complicated but because of this video I can transform him thank you!
Thank-you so much for this video, you're an absolute lifesaver. I couldn't figure out how the hell to get the abs pieces (windshield) into position worth a damn.
This build is probably the most annoying one in transformer history, the pegs are unstable, you can easily get cuts/ raises when you’re trying to put the things together, would not recommend for you to build this
TMan978 Technically, we can blame ROTF Prime for all of the stupid and simplistic transformations. We can also blame Prime for the pathetic 1 - step changers.

Besides cost cutting, this is one of the reason why Transformers are way more simple now.

I’ve searched high and low to find some one who’s made a video showcasing how to transform this figure thank you very much !!!!!
I shouldn't be the only person but I might be the only person who did it in both directions.
@@TMan978 you are the only person I could find lol still thank you

Yeah I've always done it the way it comes in the package because that's what makes sense. 🤷🏾♂️

I'm happy I had the energy to do this years ago
I don't imagine it is terribly fun trying to do it from behind the camera.

That's what I was hoping for. Thanks for watching and liking.
