@@dinoooooom I didn't mean they added something new and special to Pidgeot... but abilities like Shed Tail or the Mirror Herb item really help Pokemon like that to make moves they couldn't do well before or make plays that would be risky before. In fact, that was always the case with any Pokemon. Same for Sharpedo or Sceptile. You must know how to use everything in the game wisely and not just win by brute force.
Swagger mirror herb is a viable strategy, I wish alcremie was in the game so you could do double decorate mirror herb into something with good killing potential.
The mew in the final battle was going to try to use a imprison + transform strat, where you can only struggle, but in singles you can just switch out lol Edit for spelling
to be fair, u played it very well around that imprison transform mew... or whatever it was I don't remember it now, but there was a move which prevented opponent from using any move the user already knows. imprison, then that move, then transform, and force opponent to use struggle.... similar concept to the new dragonite stall that just showed up...
No, mews use imprison then transform to force the opponent to struggle, and the infestation is used to trap the opponent so they can't just switch out. Idk why that guy used infestation tho, Block is usually a more consistent move
BRO i found something which is so op i feel liek it should not be a thing. there is a strat involving oinklonge, klefki and slaking. The strat is when the enemy uses a contact pokemon go to oinklonge and get the pokemon lingering aroma, next go to klefki and use a move fiary lock which makes the opponent no longer able to escapee and u can switch at the end of the turn. then go to slaking and hit enemy with a contact move and BOOM! u got no more truant but lingering aroma! which is just TOOO op.
Let's see here. Solid mixed attacking stats, fantastic STABS, priority, Speed Boost, Destiny Bond, great coverage options, Does it really need Swords Dance?
This is unironically a viable strategy, of course it depends on matchup, but giving that boost to a special attacker only means 2x confuse damage, maybe you've opened some kind of Pandora's box here 🤣🤣
A Close Combat from Sharpedo OHKOs Heatran. Failing that we have Toxapex to chip it down with Scald and Recover, and Shadow Sneak from a Tera Ghost +2 Aegislash hits for around 60%
Mew is scary imo, imprison transform forces a switch and if you have set up then it basically a reverse sweep…. Edit: this is why I run very phew to no set up mons, but also I use rain/t-room teams lol
pokepast.es/b70e367bd98c73ec - Feel free to check out the team!
Seeing Pidgeot, Sharpedo and Sceptile more often again thanks to various things implemented in Gen 9 is so beautiful and refreshing...
What was implemented to pidgeot/his mega? Dosent seem to different to me competitive wise.

What's your favourite Gen 3 Pokemon? Might be a basic pick, but Sceptile is my favourite Pokemon in Gen 3 hehe
Absol!!

Absolutely Sceptile, by a long shot

In Nat Dex you can do it or not? 🤔🤔🤔

Usually, said Mew also runs Block to prevent switching.
@@GamerJulian94 usually that is true, but idk why they didn't use that first

Imprison is the move you’re thinking of. Block is the move that prevents the user from switching out

Thank you! Hehe

Vespiquen, do you think you could do something with her?
That hoenn rival battle Rmx is such a banger 😂

@@oliviahughes3158 yes
I would oppose, but GF loves giving swords dance to anything, so might as well give to sharpedo
@@oliviahughes3158 With Swords Dance, Sharpedo could rank up to UU like a Blaziken 2.0 but more frail

As a huge sharpedo fan I constantly lament the fact it doesnt get swords dance. I never got it. I mean, come on.
It should get a signature move called “torpedo rush” where its basically a tail glow but for physical attack
@Random Internet Guy maybe….. but what sharpedo really needs is a boosting move
@Random Internet Guy why not just give him swords dance?
@Random Internet Guy im still up for the water type close combat. Also make it a biting move... for reasons.
@Random Internet Guy also give sharpedo power trip. That would be really funny.
What would you do against heataran with this team?
A Close Combat from Sharpedo OHKOs Heatran. Failing that we have Toxapex to chip it down with Scald and Recover, and Shadow Sneak from a Tera Ghost +2 Aegislash hits for around 60%
Tried to do this for hawlucha in gen 9 but he lost swagger :(
Yeah but hawlucha also has swords dance so it’s unnecessary.
