We need to physically congratulates that guy

I remember doing that once lol I got beaten so badly so I used the same strats to troll my friends kek
This guy has the vibe of a Pokémon Rival. Cocksure and confused and pissed when he losess, but is willing to admit defeat and respects when he's been beat, even if he's still salty.
A _good_ Pokémon rival. So basically, not Bede.
@@voydcat8089 Bede's cool tho. Better than most of the rivals we've had for the past few gens. I think Gen 5's Cheren was the last good rival we had imo.
@@lucifermorningstar8562 *laughs in a week later*
@@JJSSBU Nemona is cute but I feel like her apparently holding back every match and purposely using weak Pokémon kinda cheapens her as a rival. I mean she's already a champion so I hardly considered her a rival.
Beeing salty is human nature. Let the guy be salty at least he was self aware about it. 😝

I kinda like that bro wasn't mean. He admitted that he salty, but wasn't shitty about it. No name calling, no mention of anyone's mom etc. Nice
Gotta love players like these that don’t act salty when they lose to such random teams. Especially the “stall” teams

He was a good sport about this. Rematching because he wanted the challenge, and willing to learn.
Good on him

I've never seen this channel in my life but I'm happy the holy UA-cam gods have blessed me with this
Salty yes, but not a bad loser. Guy legit put in effort and reacted surprisingly well. Hope he has fun with these teams, good for him.
Awesome to see such a close match on the third round. Genuinely believed it could go either way since he had some solid strategies.
5:35, ok, now THATS some giga brain energy, holy crap that's terrorfying
Not only did quck claw activate, but Focus Blast hit, thats nuts
This one is really different. He was not toxic at all. Not even a bit. Even though he's pissed and is sincere about it, he's still kinda respectful and humble. Wish everyone was like him. Subscribed after this one. Indeed, GG.

Dude was a good sport I’ll give him that.
7:52 Whyis that against whats pokemon all about?
Skarmory is meant to be a physical wall on teams. Having weak armor lowers Skarmory's defense every hit (i think), essentially defeating the reason why you'd have it
I understand about half of what I see in these videos, but love all of the crying! 😂😂😂

16-bit, if your here in the comments. We all love you man xD need more people like you
Its actually satisfying to see a cool showdown player. Most of that player base is a toxic cesspit of sweaty, edgy, keyboard warriors. I dont know how long our other hero 16-Bit can keep his positive attitude, but maybe he's not on showdown too much.
I see a bunch of comments praising the opponent, but is no one gonna talk about that extremely long clip of random sounds? XD

Truth
If every showdown player was like this, this channel wouldn't exist
Okay this guy deserves respect. He saw four crits in a row and even said he wouldn't call hax, he said really lucky and then you showed the Lucky Punch and he was just amused. And THEN he went on to be terrified of Shell Smash Vaporeon... and THEN! went on to troll his friends with the false stall teams.
This dude is a legend and he deserves to know that. I hope he sees this video.
(Also I know he may actually be a she but I don't want to go back and edit this for that mess. So whatever gender they are, they are amazing regardless.)
tbh they were still being very douchey
Hats off to you, 16-bit Metal! The guy was genuine and basically salt free. Learned from the matches, actively pursued playing against the strat more, and accepted his loses with plans to try something new. Need more players like this👍
A little salt lol. Nothing harmful tho:)
What is the strat exactly? I don't play pokemon but find these vids entertaining
@@giantenemycrab420 its something similar to thinking someone is using a tank build just because they have heavy armor on but then you get hit by his Meteor Lance (an AoE magic spell that damages the caster aswell but to a lesser degree of damage) and insta died lol (not pokemon)
@@giantenemycrab420 Basically the pokemon he used are famous for "stall" strats, aka being too tough to kill, having powerful ways to heal and grinding down your opponents with attrition. It's somewhat unpopular because it can make matches last a very long time and unless you know how to counter it facing stall can feel like you cant do anything and only the opponent gets to play the game.
"Shell Smash Vaporeon. Oh god." 10/10 he understood the threat
help I don’t get it
Probably missing some details, but my understanding is this. Eeveelutions always have the same base stat spreads, but in different stats. As a result each of them has one stat that has a very high 130 and then a second stat at 110, with the rest somewhere between 60 and 85. For example, Jolteon has the 130 in speed and the 110 in special attack, but for Espeon the BST for those two is flipped with the 130 in sp att and 110 in speed.
Vaporeon has the 130 in hp and the 110 in special attack. Combine that with sp Def being the next highest and you have a solid sp Def wall that can hit hard with special attack. And that's what it normally does as it has a low speed in the 60s.
And this is why shell smash vaporeon is particularly dangerous as you take that high special attack and double it, then make it twice as fast, and you have an ultra hard htting sweeper that actually has decent bulk
@@hokk728 the only thing to add would be that Vaporeon has decent good coverage and water is a good defensiv typing
@@hokk728 dam

I would honestly be salty as the dead sea if someone was trolling me in a competitive battle.
@@Blobbyo25earthquake powerup punch chansey
I mean I would get salty as well if someone threw me off that hard lmao
I love how the guy wasnt really toxic but just very, very, very confused the whole time, but he also showed that most people dont even know niche things like Lucky Punch
Yeah. I never really understood why lucky punch is a thing. I mean, chansey was meant to be a bulky wall, and nothing else. So, why lucky punch? Was it an April fools joke that Nintendo was like "Screw it. Keep it in. It just doesn't make sense
@@carsonmiller4938 I think its there to kinda keep Chansey as the Powerhouse it was in RBY
I could be wrong but wasnt it introduced in the FRLG Remakes?
@@carsonmiller4938 IIRC in Gen3 crits still ignore buffs and debuffs, and Chansey can have an ability that procs special effects more often, so basically this shreds any atk debuffs on you and def buffs on your target on top of being more likely to cause statuses or flinches.
@@neoqwerty Serene grace doesn't affect critical hit rate
It’s because chansey is named “lucky” in Japanese so they gave them something that boosts their luck
Got to give props to this guy for just how much of a good sport he is.... gets about as salty as one can get, but he never accused you of cheating or calling Hax (most he got was the comment on luck involving all of those crits... which was then sorta-remedied by pointing out the Lucky Punch item's effect), he admitted his defeats and his "gg"s sounded genuine.
That's not what you would expect from someone who came in as smug as he was at the start.
That „no more stall“ got me for good. That video is a gem and your opponent deserves some love. He was also funny as hell
I like this guy. He was still salty, just "good natured-ly" salty, rather than toxic.
The right way to be salty.
Salty with a sense of humor and humility.

Man, I'm actually proud of this guy. They weren't too negative, and while some salt was present, he was quite an honest good sport throughout it all. In fact, a pinch of salt shows they really tried their best and adds to the competitiveness. If all players could have such a good mindset, competitive Pokemon would be a nicer place.
This guy was playing because he was having _fun_
So many people forget the point of things like this is that it's a game, you're supposed to have fun when playing it. This guy, even while losing, was obviously having a great time being surprised with tempt's tactics and having to try to work around them on the fly, and then having a hell of a time trying to come up with a strategy to actually beat those tactics. It's so refreshing, honestly
I dont think there is any salt at all, he just shocked and confused that he cant think about anything else to say😂
I loved the part where he was like “THREE CRITICAL HITS I’m not some kid that’ll say you have some hacks you’re just lucky af that’s all this is”
And then laughs when he realized Chansey had Lucky punch
At least they were a good sport about it instead of calling you a hacker
That’s the worst part of the video. I love seeing salty players freak out.
“Good sport”
I love the genuine OH FUCK panic from the shell smash vaporeon. You always come up with the wildest shit I love it
Not only is this guy not toxic but is actually a skilled one. Although you can tell their party was pretty much just based on the pokemon they like (Which is totally relatable)
Yeah, more of this dude. He actually learned things, wasn't super salty, and was humble and honest.
I like how he thought Mega Gengar was gonna lay waste to the team, but then they get Psycho Boosted, and suddenly their head is turned upside down. 😄
"I won't fall for any tricks this time" switches to entirely new team
To be fair, that's what one would do when they know the trick and try to counter it. One thing they forgot, though: a trickster always has more in the bag.
Absolutely LOST my shit at the ice punch 3:50
