My diabetic Yorkshire Terrier Ziggy died in 2021 having spent the previous 8 years with the condition. It was very restrictive to have to inject him twice a day, no holidays abroad etc. But it was a privilege to look after him and Worth all the sacrifices and expense. Love your channel incidentally.
Greetings. Circumstances so happened that for certain reasons I also could not follow the events on the channel, and today for the first time in 3 months I went to UA-cam and was pleased to see a couple of your new videos. I think that a slightly updated content vector on the channel will only benefit everyone. Moreover, you mentioned the jump rope. For me personally, this topic is very relevant. You still need to make friends with your head and your arms and legs))) Keep up the good work. Running will not get us anywhere. Rufus health and recovery!!!
Looking forward to seeing the new direction fir the channel. I"m in my mid 40's and after years of CV exercise only, i have recently discovered the versatility and benefits of kettlebell training. 💪🏻
Great to see you back, James. I was just about to text you to see where you were. Great stuff in the course and I hope Rufus is doing well. Adaptations is what life is all about!
Glad to hear Rufus is alright mate. Sounds like you have been mega busy mate. I look forward to hearing some nutritional advice it's always helpful. Hopefully we can try and get a run in over the holidays 🤞
@@BenNotley cheers, thanks - he’s getting on (13 the other day) , bit blind - pretty deaf but still very happy! Yea, be good to get a run in - happy hols!
Even though I got interested in your channel for running, we should all be doing more strength and Conditioning work, so maybe the shift in content will encourage the likes of me to do more variety as well. Hope Rufus is getting on alright. Take care.
So it depends but generally yes, full body splits but I do emphasise on on upper or lower each time - lots of kettlebell work too. I train 6/7 times a week but again, some are easy and some very hard … I will do a proper video soon as a few people have asked. How about yourself?
Thank you for your answer. That sounds really good! I'm trying to get a structured routine again. Not easy with two kids. My current plan is three full-body workouts (kettlebell and calisthenics) and on the days in between sprints and trail running. What do you think of the structure?
@steffenfelix8639 that sounds great … I would say to make sure you throw in some super easy sessions - like rucking or something . Do you have anything / goal in mind ?
@@movemorenowjames You mean rucking instead of a sprint? Sounds plausible! My goal is to stay strong for my children/family. Building muscle is a nice side effect 😌 Your channel always gives me a lot of inspiration! 💪
@steffenfelix8639 thanks! Good to hear and also, great goals… no I mean still keep the sprints but also add a few easy sessions … just works different energy systems and also helps with overall recovery

That’s amazing, Ziggy sounds like a trooper .. I agree, it is really restrictive but you quickly adapt to it. Thanks John, appreciate the comments ..

Thanks - appreciate the feedback…
Glad life is settling back down for you. I for one will enjoy the new focus of the channel. I feel like rucking suits my body better than running now
@@iainferguson1427 thanks … yup, i know what you are saying

Thanks. Lots more coming … will be posting a few whilst on holiday (took car so snuck in a kettle bell!)

@@RunSensible thanks Neil. It always feels quite off when I am not uploading … like something is missing .
All good 👍 and thanks buddy
Great stuff, I also love strength and conditioning. Kettlebell, club bell, weighted vest training etc. looking forward to your future videos 💪👍
Perfect … you listed a great menu !
Tell me about sandbag sometime. Mass and set of exercises.
It really takes some doing to get the momentum back after a break. Good to see you at it again. All the best to little Rufus 👍

Thanks Innes. Appreciate it. Pls do stayed tuned - there should hopefully be some snippets of strength and conditioning …
@@movemorenowjames The Gut health course sound interesting as well, a good angle to get into I think.

Glad that your dog is ok now and his condition is managed. Are you still planning on going back and trying the Thames Path 100 again?
Thanks Paul. Yup, the lad seems to be doing well. Re the TP100, no plans to do again but never say never
What kind of split do you do or do you do full body training? And how often per week?

Maybe a silly question but what’s Rucking?
@@soupyruns9709 not at all…. I guess it’s just fancy way of describing a hike with a heavy pack, weight on your back / body.
@@movemorenowjames 👍🏻
how old are you, if I can ask you?
@@fridadeivizsla2729 45 .. hopefully that’s the right answer !
@@movemorenowjames 🤣 sure! It's inspiring to see someone your age have these results! I started seriously only a few months ago, thank you!
Well thanks … hopefully still going strong at 55 / 66 / 75! Good luck with it all … sounds boring but consistency is key
@movemorenowjames sure! It’s never late for start! ;)
