    Another great video btw! Rucking really is the best. Been injured running plenty of times. Never injured rucking.

    What the heck! I'm subscribed to your channel. But youtube has not put one of your videos infront of me for ages. And to my shame I have to say I'd forgotten.
    Caught back up now.
    As every great video. Thanks so much.

    Great video James, I definitely need to incorporate more of the lower HR, longer duration, fat burning 🔥 type of exercise into my weekly training routine. Thanks for posting 👍

      @@movemorenowjames It is :) I dug it out of the closet and started wearing it just walking around the house this weekend. Will take it out on some neighborhood walks soon.

    We’re fortunate to have a Goruck club where we live and I have a bunch of their packs. They’re designed for Goruck events so as well as the plate, they need to hold water bladder, and other bits and bobs. They also have handles to help with some of the various “exercises” (torture sessions) we do. I wouldn’t take anything else to a GR event as it would be 100% destroyed. The GR rucks will outlast me.
    If you aren’t doing a GR event though, and just want to go rucking, then really no need to pay up for a GR bag, however like all things, you get what you pay for and GR rucks will last forever and have a lifetime warranty if something goes wrong. I would recommend one of the Rucker series if you want to use it for EDC as well.

      @@xti2020 thanks .. I do like the look of them and have heard good things. Are goruck clubs just USA ? Or..
      appreciate the feedback and comments 👍

      I dd write “Goruck club” above but that should have been just “Ruck club”. Goruck makes the gear most of us use but do not run the Ruck club. Next time you visit Tokyo come along.

    Warmed up with a 3 mile walk today. Going to do 2 more walks then I’m going to ruck. I’m obese 6’4 310 lbs. this seems to be the thing for me.

    Sorry if I missed this. Do you have a weight recommendation for a beginner?

    • @movemorenowjames
      @movemorenowjames  3 місяці тому

      Good question - it really all depends on the current fitness levels and any potential issues but I would imagine most could start off fairly comfortably with 10kg and take it from there. Also, just build the actual sessions up both in time and frequency over a few weeks / months.
