I like products like these more for the fact that they are vibrant than the fact they are portable. These, like ecoline, are dyes (like inks) instead of pigments normally found in watercolor paints. Thanks for mentioning it is important to remember that they are fugitive, like you said - definitely just for sketchbooks or scanning your art for prints. Beautifully vibrant, but if you sold a painting you made with it to someone who hangs it on a wall it will fade, and that would be super sad! Making a mini half pan watercolor palette with quality lightfast paints without restrictions on what they can be used for is nice. I think they can be comparably compact, especially if you have a travel brush. I'd get frustrated flipping through the pages instead of just having primary colors out on the same level of a palette. Your work turned out lovely though!
Yes, it's true but the vibrancy you get with these is very difficult to obtain with normal watercolours! Always if you want vibrancy 😅 Making mini sets works nice too but here you have 16 colours ready to be used instead of having to mix the colours every time! You can make a 16 colours set too with half pans in one of those 12 colors tin palette, but they're much heavier! It would have the same size of these with the case. I wish they would invent light-fast colours with that vibrancy and saturation! 😭 For the flipping page frustration , I don't feel it yet! 😆 But I hate that they stain my fingers!
When you started painting, the background music got creepy and scary lol😂
I'll pick something different the next time, sorry 😆
@@weronoyume no it's totally okay. I love your art btw :))
The filming style is delicious 🥰
Wow so beautiful I loved your drawing
Thank you! ❤️❤️
thank you for demonstration of how you use the sketch book and the sheets clipped to the side, very informative... there is a lot in this video that one might miss if you do not watch to the end!
I love these watercolors because the colors are so saturated. And I love the concept and idea behind the brand. I honestly have not tried the outside only in my studio but I am sure they are great for travel. I really enjoyed your video and the portrait you did
Thank you! I saw on Instagram that you use them! 😍 I also like their saturation and the way they are!
Beautiful watercolors 😌 I wish the watercolprs here are as good as that. Not chalky, vibrant and really easy to blend 😍
I never knew those kind of watercolors existed! Thank you for the review! Your style improved so much, I'm very impressed! ♡
Thank you! I'm happy you discovered something new! 😍
Fyi, these are dyes, not watercolors!
wow, your art really is amazing!Thank you for the review💛💛
the cinematography is dope :)
Thank you! ❤️
Your videos always give me the coolest vibes and they're so inspiring to watch. Stunning work as always!

Thank you ❤️
Wow I live in india n I didn't k about this gal I love you for telling me this ...thatt I can paint where ever I want with small package of colours u don't need to take those brushed n colour etc etc that's frustrating 😑 n I love your drawing too ♥ buh extra thanku for this info 😅😮 now I m gonna buy it 😆😇thnku love from india n love ur drawings ..♥♥♥♥
Love it 💕💕💕
Ngl but the guy you painted looks a lot like Matt Rife,, love your work btw 💗💖
Ecoline - yeah ........well you were saying that you were not enthusiastic about using them - well they are DYE-based, which contradicts what they are described as.(liquid watercolour - which is a pigment based product!!) In my opinion that goes against advertising laws. Enjoying your video so far.
at 2:13 when you were talking about how it didn't close, couldn't you just put like a rubber band around it or even a ribbon to make it? (not trying to hate at all just something that struck a chord with me) the review was great though, maybe I should get some.
Yes, you can put a rubber band to close it! But the case doesn't come for free and it doesn't add anything "useful" to the set I wanted to show that's basically only for aesthetic purposes! I really think that it's cute, but I it's not essential!
@@weronoyume ooohhhh i getcha ,thank you for responding, not many youtubers do that anymore!
Oh you're welcome! ☺️
Thank you for making this💜💜
i’m so excited to try these! 🎨 but the music while u were painting was very creepy 🙀😅
Ahaha you're not the first one who's told me that! Sorry the next time I'll choose something different 😆
hehe 👻
How do they mix? You mention you wish there were more variety? Is this because they do not mix well to make new colors?
Oh no they mix well, but it's a little useless to have so many similar colours in a palette! When there could've been different colours!
@@weronoyume Oh, I see, thank you!
@@weronoyumeI'm so glad other people are mentioning that they liked your sketch because, after the review, I thought the video was over and I did not see it (i was listening to this while making breakfast). Now I will watch the video too, a treat, because I love your art!
I did it like this just for the people that are only interested to the review! 😊 And it's totally fine if you didn't watch it all!
i loved the video🥰
Thank you! ❤️
you’re welcome!! ✨
quick question, on the watercolor portrait of the male, which is beautiful to watch as well as the result, did you wait in between each layer for drying? I would assume you did, but I am double checking because I struggle with being able to wait and my art suffers, so I want to make sure I am not missing something here. (I should probably start working on several at once so I don't get so impatient and ruin my paintings)
Yes I waited for the layers to dry, but sometimes it happens to me too to be impatient, specially while filming a video! When I was painting the lips I forgot to wait and everything blended together and mistakes made with these paints are even more difficult to fix than with normal watercolours! But it's fine because it was just a sketch! 😊
@@weronoyume Thank you so much!
is that lee minho? 😂 kinda look like him tho from the thumbnail
Yesss ahah
Kaise ho mere bhartiyo bhai beheno??
Looks kinda like lee minho
Someone noticed! I was looking at one of his pictures! 💕😆
Watch the new video messages I see right away.
Watched late
and im from VN.i so fancy video watercolor of you.
I don't get why people keep calling these watercolors. These are not watercolor paints. These are simply dyes. Nothing special. They are not lightfast at all, and do not have standard watercolor quality or properties.
They are simply an entirely different medium. They should not be directly compared. It's downright ignorant/erroneous to do so.
Sorry if this sounds abrupt. I am just really against spreading misinformation. You legit claimed these were watercolors, and called them paint. They are dyes, & such products are not new nor somehow innovative. Nothing special, here. & they are absolutely not any sort of "super portable watercolor paints", period. It's just the fact of the matter... & this is just more stuff that confuses people, who then get offended at being corrected, & claim that videos like this somehow prove them right. Objectivity in this regard is important.
I do appreciate you taking the time to provide a review, especially in video form. But please, seriously, please - try your best not to spread false facts or other misinformation in the future. I'm guessing it wasn't intentional, & am in no way attacking you personally! Hopefully this makes sense. I hope you have a wonderful day, regardless. Thanks again!
Tc.
I was not spreading false information it's literally written on the packaging that these are watercolours lol I understand that they are different from normal watercolours indeed I never even once in the video compared them to normal watercolours.
@@weronoyume They call them watercolors? See, that is false advertising. Sounds like you were tricked.
I never meant to imply that you were, or are, being malicious. But by calling dyes watercolors, you are objectively speaking misinformation. Watercolors, by definition, are strictly made with pigments & a binder. There are different types of watercolors, yes. However, to call dyes watercolors is factually inaccurate. & just because the sellers are making false claims, doesn't mean it's appropriate to echo such claims.
Again, if I had to guess, I would think you aren't at all a bad person, & that this is simply a misunderstanding on some level. & frankly, who cares? Misunderstandings happen. Just so long as you don't perpetuate falsehoods, frankly I see no issue. I just really wish people would stop mislabelling, or otherwise describing these, as "watercolors". They are, in fact, not any kind of watercolor paint, whatsoever.
I want to make sure you understand the difference, though. You say "I never compared them to normal watercolors". I never claimed you did. In fact, it might have been a step in the right direction if you did. But see, even there - you adding the qualifier "normal" implies that they are still somehow watercolors, just some special, different kind or variety.
Again though, by the literal definition, they are 100% not watercolors. Pigments and dyes are insanely different colorants, and these fundamental differences are a big part of why they will always remain entirely different mediums - even if an onlooker may not comprehend these differences, or be able to discern the two at face value.
If you did compare them to legitimate watercolor paints, you'd still be objectively incorrect so long as you continued referring to them as watercolors, but at least a clear distinction would be identified.
Regardless, until they are correctly labeled, it's still misinformation.
This wasn't, and still isn't, an attack. I have made a million little mistakes like this, too. I've done much worse. Everyone has. It's okay. So long as you correct it, frankly it's not really anything significant. But as long as misinformation is out there, I will feel compelled to correct it, for the sake of both objectivity and any onlookers that might otherwise pick up bad info. Hopefully that makes sense.
I still don't think that it is entirely wrong to call these watercolours, because yes, even tho these are not traditional watercolours paints and they have different characteristic etc... they don't even have a name yet. Also nowadays brands use the word watercolour to describe water soluble paints. "Watercolor" has become a name to describe the act of using paint with water. And in Italian ( I'm Italian) even water soluble oil paints are called "watercolour" oil paints. So instead of sticking too much to a simple word just let that be. It's just like saying that soy milk is not milk because it doesn't come from an animal. It's like everyone knows they are different, but they are also similar in the way they are eaten. Watercolor is just a word, even gouache sometimes it's called opaque watercolour so many things are called watercolour. I will always support people that are creative and try to create new kinds of paints. You might not like them and it's okay, but things can always improve with time!
