This was good up until the end. I felt like I watched a movie and soon as it got to the good part it ended abruptly. This is so disappointing that the video is titled beginning to end, but you don't show and end, AND none of your fans' questions get responded to. I was going to subscribe but changed my mind cuz now I have to go find more videos that show you how to get from weeding out the letters to the finished product.
Thank you so much for this video Auntie Tay. I am new to Cricut. I have the Cricut Explore Air 2 and so far I've made a card and a banner. I started using a notebook today to take notes to learn more on how to use my cricket. I took notes on this video because it was very informative. Thank you so much for this helpful information.
Can you over press? I had one spot that did stick and when I went back over the project, not only does the same part not stick but now other parts are not sticking.
I have a new circuit for three days now. and I an so sos so overwhelmed . I just want to cry. I have watched videos after videos. You all make it seen so easy. call me slow dumb or whatever. I just don't get it. I'm tried making a logo (my own) once I upload. it gives me and option. But won't let me use it. just crying
So I have made 5 shirts with HTV. When I wear them, the writing pulls on the fabric over my chest. You don't mention the stretch HTV. Am I doing something wrong? I am afraid to make shirts for people as store bought graphic tee'a don't do this.
It depends on which machine you have. If you have a Maker you can connect through Bluetooth. If you have an Explore machine, you can connect with a USB cord :)
I have the Explore Air 2 (I don't know if that makes a difference) but I have found that moving my switch in btwn Iron-on and Light cardstock works best for my glitter cuts
I have a problem with the machine cutting through the plastic part. I have used the iron on setting and the custom setting, both cut through the plastic. I have also tried using crucifix brand and off brand material. I have a cricut explore air. Any ideas?
Thank you so much for this! literally just went to Joann’s and bought my glitter iron on to make a couple of T-shirt for Youth Sunday😁. And I was nervous lol but I seen this video and was like, “ okay, I can do this, Breathe girl 😁. My pep talk😂 But thanks so much!!
Hi! Thanks for your videos... I’m new to cricut... maybe you have out a video on how to have different color and shapes into one.. for example... I’m trying to do a heart with a US flag inside to Cover the whole surface of the heart shape but of Course keeping the heart shape and cutting out excess of the lines top and bottom and half of the stars rectangle -thanks!!!
I have a question, Auntie Tay... I have a heat press. My settings are 340 degrees, I pre-press the shirt for 15 seconds, put the design press it, then remove the clear film and press one more time each in 15 sec. intervals. The problem I'm encountering is with my glitter vinyl peeling off my shirts after first wash. What would cause this to happen?
I’ve found that it’s the pressure on my heat press. Also the type of vinyl. Siser is the best. It seems like the cricut vinyl isn’t as good of a quality.
I’m pretty new at this and have not have to many problems. I have used both Cricut and Sisser and also use a regular iron- pressure is very important and actually not press more than 15 seconds (more than that have found that the glue thins and when washing it will come off), but when washing you really have to wash them with the design inside and if they peel like the glitter or hologram a little fabric Modpodge helps.
DeAndria blount transfer tape is used for regular vinyl.... any vinyl that is not iron on. You will need the transfer tape to move your cut out to your project.
Will someone please help me? I need to mirror/flip an image IN Design Space, on the canvas, not on the mat. I have seen info about Explore, where a person would click edit, then mirror. This is not available now. I have a Maker, and have updated DS. So anyone willing to help is clear: I have an image that faces left. I need it to face right. There are words on both sides of it, so if I wait until I get to the cut mats to mirror, the words will also be mirrored. I want everything on one mat because it will be very difficult to line up the HTV if I cut on multiple mats.Everything I have found for the current DS instructs users to mirror the mat, not the actual image on the canvas in design space. PLEASE HELP.
Thank you. I was trying to mirror an image on a canvas before sending it to cut. It turns out I was able to flip it- sometimes you need to restart computers to get the kinks out! At first, the image would not flip.
Hey There! I just had a question (new user to iron on)...when you were weeding your project it was on transfer material already? Do you use contact paper or does it come already with transfer on the iron on?
Do you use other brands besides cricut? I have found that cricut vinyl and htv aren’t the best and that there are a few other brands that work so much better
for htv Themoflex is good too and for regular vinyl oracle 651 is so much better then cricut, it seems to last a lot longer since it is considered permanent
Charis Calhoon . okay Great!! I will try those brands. I used the cricut brand vinyl amd transfer tape and it was a mess!! I have not done any vinyl projects since..but i will try those. 🙂
every project I used the regular cricut vinyl on has not lasted, I love the oracle 651 for cups etc... you just have to wait 48 hours after to let it cure before using/ washing, I do like the cricut glitter htv, the gold one is my favorite shade of gold, but other then that I use sister and it's pretty cheap on brilliant vinyl and vinyl world 651 websites, I paid only $4.50 for a 12x20" sheet of sister glitter htv you can also get half sheets for $2.35 and the colors are so beautiful!!! they also carry it at michaels but the price for the sister glitter htv is $21.99 for a 12x36" sheet, yes you can use coupons but it's still pricey imo
I still prefer to use HTV because so many times while weeding with regular vinyl I've accidentally lost letters or the removed vinyl while I'm weeding it will stick onto something I need and I lose things or ruin something
Celeste Amaya there is a chart that came with your easy press. If depends on what type of iron on and surface. If you go to cricut.com, there is a chart in there website as well. 😃
I use a regular iron, I don’t have any desire to buy an easy press, I feel like I have more control with my regular iron, I set mine at 5(mine has settings 1-7), I use a piece of scrap cotton fabric to place between the iron and decal
Charis Calhoon do you have any trouble after washing fabric with vinyl coming off? For some reason my vinyl will stick on but after wearing it a couple hours it’ll start to peel off. I’m using a regular iron as well. :( it’s been so frustrating for me
I made about 4-5 shirts for my disney land trip and once I got there I noticed some of the edges were coming up, I realized that in my original pressing I didn't add enough pressure, so I turned it inside out (in the hotel) and used their iron on the wood floor and it worked, now I have washed my shirts and worn them a few times with 0 issues, now when I do a shirt I do it on the floor (wood floor) and I put all my body weight into it, just make sure you can see the ribs of the fabric through the vinyl and it should be good
Thank you so much I’m going to try right now. I went and got transfer tape thinking I needed it for this. I’m still nervous but I’m going to just go for it.
How bizarre..lol. I am not confident in trying this type of application. I am assuming it did not come out properly/aesthetically pleasing. The quick pop up of a photo image with music over your speaking in the middle of ironing the font onto the wood seemed very odd to me. I am enjoying all the other video tutorials/discussions.
I like your videos but sometimes I think everything is revolved around the Cricut. Not all of us do that many crafts to use it or see the cost effective of the item. Also lately your videos are rushed. This one didn't even show the finished example.
i didnt find this teaching me anything. was hard to see everything and it never showed the end.
Thank you for sharing from your heart !!!!! God Bless your recovery. As a new Cricut owner and chronic crafter, I am glad you shared this warning.
Didn't she say "from beginning to end"?
Can you please show a step by step on how to do printable iron on?
Can I use strong bond iron on on on regular clothes or on muds??..
Thank you!!! I use iron on with my ceramic mugs and on my epoxy coated cups
Have a great day.
Thank you, I hope this will apply using the old cricut machine.
Thank you so much! I truly love your channel
Wait what's the final step? How long does it have to cool for? What does the final product look like?
What’s your coupon code I’m new to this I’m a master barber I just bought a new barber shop and would love to be a part of this community
I'm a little confused.. What happened to the Black Vinyl? Does Iron-On Vinyl already have Transfer Tape?
Thank you for this great video! I’ve never heard someone say iron on sooooo many times in one video 😅
I love iron I use it on mugs and a lot if things and I just got a easy press yesterday
Can you over press? I had one spot that did stick and when I went back over the project, not only does the same part not stick but now other parts are not sticking.
I wanted to see the end result to see how iron on looked on a hard surface 😞
I have a new circuit for three days now. and I an so sos so overwhelmed . I just want to cry. I have watched videos after videos. You all make it seen so easy. call me slow dumb or whatever. I just don't get it. I'm tried making a logo (my own) once I upload. it gives me and option. But won't let me use it. just crying
I would have liked to have seen the end result
So I have made 5 shirts with HTV. When I wear them, the writing pulls on the fabric over my chest. You don't mention the stretch HTV. Am I doing something wrong? I am afraid to make shirts for people as store bought graphic tee'a don't do this.
I wondered if I could use iron on Cricut vinyl on windows outside? Thank you
No, you'd want to use adhesive vinyl on windows.
i want to know more about printable iron-on
Thanks but I was hoping that you would show the finished product
It would have been more educative to see the final product!
Maria Cecilia Martinez Villamil check out this months series lots of examples :)
Will a large heat press work?
I want to use the transfers on t-shirts. Is there a clear transfer?
How do you iron on vinyl on both sides of a tshirt?
Please demonstrate how to cut felt. I haven’t had any success.
What transfer tape do u use for the iron on? It looks like plastic but I’m not sure? Please help.
Can we see how u connect ur design to the machine do u just click a button ?
It depends on which machine you have. If you have a Maker you can connect through Bluetooth. If you have an Explore machine, you can connect with a USB cord :)
In this video didn't you forget a step. How to use the transfer tape? I have messed up 2 trying to figure that out.
What heat do you use with your iron. Also do you have a video from start to finish with tee shirts/onsies. Do you have to wash tee/onesies first
You want to set your iron to between cotton and linen. Make sure you turn your steam off.
How do the iron on's hold up on tees?
Thank you.
Does anyone have any suggestions for the best T-shirts to purchase for Iron-ons? Links would be helpful too. Thanks
I purchased t-shirts from Jiffyshirts.com They were excellent, no shrinkage or colors running when washing.
I don't understand the "reverse cut".. do you only cut the "letters" on the reverse cut or does everything have to be cut with the "foil" upside down?
How do I use an SVG clip art file image to cut to an iron on transfer with layering
what? but where is the final product?
I finally got my new cricut to cut my glitter vinyl iron on BUT why is it cutting all the way through the whole material????? Please help
I have the Explore Air 2 (I don't know if that makes a difference) but I have found that moving my switch in btwn Iron-on and Light cardstock works best for my glitter cuts
Thank you! Im a Cricut Creator Now!
I have a problem with the machine cutting through the plastic part. I have used the iron on setting and the custom setting, both cut through the plastic. I have also tried using crucifix brand and off brand material. I have a cricut explore air. Any ideas?

Why don't you show how to use printable iron-on that's the stuff I'm having trouble with
LacieEggShell I would love to see this also!
Me too. I tried printing on the iron -on vinyl and it was a mess. Hope you can share some information if there is any.
Where do u purchase printable heat transfer vinyl
I am trying to use the coupon code but it's not working
you didn't show finished project

Can I use strong bond iron on clothes??
Auntie tay I’m really needing some advice. Plz help me
can i use wax paper or freezer paper, if i dont have parchment paper?
I'm wondering if a heat gun would work better than an iron on a curved surface such as a mug. Mine gets blazing hot so though it might work.
Kim Barcelos yes it will work. That's what I use.
Yay! I just got my machine and lots of Iron On. I can't wait to get started! Thanks Tracie.
Kim Barcelos u r welcome!!! It's so addictive and fun!!!
Confused using transfer iron on, pls help! (Not the roll one)
I have a question, Auntie Tay... I have a heat press. The problem I'm encountering is with my glitter vinyl peeling off my shirts after first wash. What would cause this to happen?
Justin Smith thank you good question that happens to all of my iron ons no matter how much I sit there and press.
I’ve found that it’s the pressure on my heat press. Also the type of vinyl. Siser is the best. It seems like the cricut vinyl isn’t as good of a quality.

@@ilianaquinonesFabric Modpodge, Brilliant idea! I'll keep that in mind.
No mystery box this month?
Trying to use tour Cricut Code but it says it is invalid 🙁
so my problem wasn't the pressure. I was cutting the wrong side of the iron on vinyl😂😂😂
If I'm using a script font in Cricut how do I make it so the letters are connected instead of separate
You have to play with the grouping and spacing, then weld when you have it the way you like.
@@chenelogan9315 thank you
The system is down with cricut right now!!! Does this happen a lot???
great video as I am a newbee
This was the easiest tutorial 😊
Can you use your phone for the maker? Im trying to figure out what one to get but idont own a computer
It can be connected via Bluetooth if you have a Bluetooth device and a cutting machine that has bluetooth.
Did you put transfer tape over the iron before you ironed it on the wood?
DeAndria blount you dont need transfer tape w iron on. There's a carrier sheet already there😊
Tracie Stephens what is the transfer tape used for?
DeAndria blount transfer tape is used for regular vinyl.... any vinyl that is not iron on. You will need the transfer tape to move your cut out to your project.
Come on you are a crafting channel. We came to see the end result!

once you click MAKE IT, the screen will have the option to mirror it. or you can FLIP IT on the canvas too hope this helps, I just got my Cricut Maker
Group item? not sure what you're asking for the mat
Thank you. I was trying to mirror an image on a canvas before sending it to cut. It turns out I was able to flip it- sometimes you need to restart computers to get the kinks out! At first, the image would not flip.
For Htv you should always weed on wrong side? Does it matter?
You will weed from the mirrored side, then flip it over and iron it on so it looks correct.
Thank you. This is helpful.
Hey There! I just had a question (new user to iron on)...when you were weeding your project it was on transfer material already? Do you use contact paper or does it come already with transfer on the iron on?
Meg Taylor she says this in the video it comes on plastic which is why u lay it plastic side down
Ok thank you. Wanted to make sure
When using print then cut iron on- is it necessary to mirror your image?
Rana Tyson what type of paper do you use on printable iron on? I tried the iron on vinyl and the ink was runny and messy.
Can I use cricket vinyl for the cameo silhouette?
WORSHIP4412 yes ma'am 👍
You can but there are way better vinyl brands out there such as Orval 651 for regular vinyl or siser or thermaflex for htv
Do you use other brands besides cricut? I have found that cricut vinyl and htv aren’t the best and that there are a few other brands that work so much better

Can u use Iron-on, on glass?!?
Cassandra Lopez yes, I have used it w a heat gun and scraper. I have not used it with an iron.
Tracie Stephens, thank you
If I’m using a regular iron what should the temp be for clothing?
Celeste Amaya there is a chart that came with your easy press. If depends on what type of iron on and surface. If you go to cricut.com, there is a chart in there website as well. 😃
Tracie Stephens I don’t have an easy press. I’m asking if I’m using a regular iron what does my temp need to be on?

She is a Cricut UA-cam channel, so of course everything is revolved around the Cricut...
It’s Hard!!
Please show us your finished project.
Kelly Land I have lots of finished products on my channel, this was just to talk about how to use iron on.
AuntieTay wish it was longer lol with examples off all types of iron on.
AuntieTay I've been wanting to do vinyl on wood. Can you direct me to any video you've made? Thanks!
Really😑
What cricket machine do you have ?
