@@LifeBetweenWords1 When I read it last year I recommended it to you on Goodreads but I wasn't sure if you even look at those things. I think about it often and will maybe reread it next year. So good.
The Last Cuentista looks really interesting! And A wish in the dark sounds really good- even though that wasn’t technically a rec. but there’s a bit of sky on that cover!
I think that's a great spot for filming, too- great natural light! I'm really happy about these prompts because it's forcing me to think outside my normal vintage, classic preferences. I have lots of newly released books on my TBR and I am so excited to try new authors.
Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus has a character with Tourettes. I plan on reading the sequel (Momentous Events in the Life of a Cactus) in March.
I know 🫠. I made a note in the description box but I had a feeling people would miss that. I had already filmed and was in the process of uploading the video when I realized my mistake! 🫣 But I also love Karina Yan Glaser!
I have Finding Langston and that whole series on my tbr for next month, I'm really looking forward to middle grade March. I read Alone, but unfortunately wasn't a fan of it. Maybe if it wasn't in verse I would have connected to it more.
Great recommendations! Have you been talking to Krista? She also called A Wrinkle in Time “weird”. 😳Sigh…it is one of my favorite sci fi/fantasy stories/series. I haven’t read it in about 20 years and I remember it as a heartwarming story. Therefore, it is at the top of my reading list for this challenge. (If time allows, I also want to watch the latest adaptation of the book.) Orion and the Starborn is also on my list for MGM 2023. I think the cover is absolutely gorgeous. Due to lack of space, I only read ebooks or listen to audiobooks. When I looked this up on Amazon, it credited Owls Nest for these versions as well. Is that correct? I want to support you where I can.
Haha it’s PURE COINCIDENCE that Krista and I mentioned and described A Wrinkle in Time the same way! But we had a good laugh about it when we saw each other’s videos! 😂 Yes! Al the versions of Orion are Owl’s Nest! Ebook and print! Eventually we’ll have audiobook, too, but we’re still working on that!
Ahh yes!! I’ve been wanting to read that one! I remember hearing him say that was a real challenge for him to write because it’s so outside of his usual genre!
@Life Between Words they are novels based in WW2! Historical Christian, they follow a few different characters and I love the series! Espionage, redemption, love, it's got it all.
So good to see your smiling face and your enthusiasm for books!! Always a treat.
This made my day 🥰
@@LifeBetweenWords1 😘
The Summer of June is very good and one of my favorites.
Ooo! I hadn’t heard anyone talk about it, so I recommended it so tentatively. I’m glad you loved it! That makes me excited to pick it up sometime!

Loved it !!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
You talk very passionately about middle grade books !
Thank you for the recommendations! I added these three to my TBR: The Summer of June, The Skylarks' War and Alone.
Oh good!! I hope you enjoy them! I’m curious what people will think of The Summer of June!
The Last Cuentista looks really interesting! And A wish in the dark sounds really good- even though that wasn’t technically a rec. but there’s a bit of sky on that cover!
Yes! I really enjoyed A Wish in the Dark!!
As always, some great recs for MGM!!
Yay! I’m glad you liked them!
Read Brown girl reading years ago and I enjoyed it. Great recommendations.
It is such a good one!
Thank you for all of the recommendations - adding more to my TBR
Woo!! I’m so excited to hear what everyone is reading!
I've wanted to pick up The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise for a long time, maybe MGM is finally that time!
It’s a great Middle Grade road trip story! (But, my favorite MG road trip story is Walk Two Moons-if I had to choose between them!)

They’ve stretched me, too! But I have a tbr I’m really excited about!
Absolutely loved The Last Cuentista! Good recommendations :)
Definitely middle grade at its finest!!
Many interesting recommendations ❤
The remarkable journey of coyote sunrise I read last Middle Grade March and I absolutely loved it!!!😍
It’s a great one! Have you read Walk Two Moons?
Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus has a character with Tourettes. I plan on reading the sequel (Momentous Events in the Life of a Cactus) in March.
Ooo I’ve heard such wonderful things about that book, too! Okay, I need to add that to my tbr…
A Duet for Home is actually written by Karina Yan Glaser. I read it last year and it was a very good book!

@@LifeBetweenWords1 sorry I didn’t see that. 🙂
Oh don’t worry!! I don’t think most people will. ❤

Books in verse can be a struggle for me, too. I find I enjoy them more when I listen to them on audiobook!
@@LifeBetweenWords1 I think I did listen to the audiobook. 😅
@@paperbacksandponytails hahaha! Well there you go!! 😆❤️

I know you like Gary D. Schmidt. I read What Came From the Stars last year by him. Sci-fi😁
Ahh yes!! I’ve been wanting to read that one! I remember hearing him say that was a real challenge for him to write because it’s so outside of his usual genre!
Not MGM related, but have you ever read anything by Brodie and Brock Thoene? The series I'm reading right now is The Zion Chronicals!
I haven’t even heard of them! Tell me more!
@Life Between Words they are novels based in WW2! Historical Christian, they follow a few different characters and I love the series! Espionage, redemption, love, it's got it all.
Ooo looking them up asap! They sound great!
