Back in the day, paperbacks were smaller and the text was more cramped. When I read Dune 25 years ago, It took longer to get through because the reading experience wasn't that comfortable.

I think that would give your ending some more weight and energy but still I LOVED THE VIDEO take my advice with a grain of salt in your future content making all love and good luck.❤👍
Absolutely great work! It's probably the Baader Meinhof phenomenon or sheer coincidence - I am trying revive my reading after years and I too experimented with combining audiobook and ebook reading on my laptop/kindle (don't have my books due to logistical constraints). It creates such an immersive experience! Not to mention the speed at which it helps me read. I use a combination of Audible and UA-cam for audiobooks. Thank you making this video. Best wishes for future endeavors.
The upside down reading doesn’t mean to read every page twice. Start by reading the first paragraph upside down, then read the rest of the session normally. It’s the same idea as lifting heavy weight, then switching to something lighter so that it feels like it’s easier than normal. An example that comes to mind for me is in baseball. A player will sometimes choose to swing a heavier bat when warming up so that the normal bat feels lighter, thus they can swing faster. I haven’t tried the upside down reading method, but I think it follows the same idea.
This copy of Dune has particularly small pages. If there are usually 250 words per page in your average Stephen King mass market paperback, this copy probably has like 150.
my biggest tip: audiobook, SPED UP. i use audible or libby on x2.5 or x3 speed. focus on your pages and go with it line by line. if x3 is too fast for you to keep up, slow it down some. but i'm reading massive amounts compared to normal reading pace, AND it makes everything so much more immersive.
The thing with Audiobooks is that you can increase the speed of the playback, so if you can be hyper focused at say x1.25 speed. That means - in your case - instead of 72 pages you'd read an additional 18 on top of that (+25%) = 90 pages. I always read at either 1.25 or 1.5 depending how slow the narrator is. And it makes the story move by so quickly.
No way this is your first book related video, it's so well done 👏 I wonder if the hacks worked or if it was simply because you were loving dune 😅🤔 Maybe you could test these hacks again, with a book you are struggling to get through?
frank herbert would’ve appreciated this video very much

This is such a great video for it being your first. Looking forward to the next 👍
how on EARTH is this your first video?? such good editing!
15:32 I have never been so happy to see the land of stories in someone’s bookshelf ✨🙌💀
dude we need a book tour , show us your shelves
