hey coach ross i got a lil question cause, im a around 30% 3pt shooter in games (id say higher but not fs) and i cant even get through lvl 1 of swish everything. what could possibly be a problem?
Who cares just make the shot. The swish is a bonus, but don’t get hung up on that. Just make the shots and you will develop a feel and a touch and figure it out.
It’s a DOUBLE EDGE SWORD. I agree but I also disagree. When practicing a lot of it. Is the focus level and cues of knocking down the shot. There’s a lot of layers to it not transitioning to in game. Then I would say where on the court you and the defensive player should be at. What can you do that’s simple. Shooting with a hand in your face, attacking close out with help-side etc. I do thank the shooting machine is helpful but that is a lower level of training. The shooting machine is good but it’s on the lower level of training for my players.
I hate the shooting machine. You never shoot that many quick shots successively in a game. It’s just a Dave & Buster’s pop shot tool that fatigues your arms after about 10 shots in a row.
I always end my workout with an actual game against others in the gym. That way I can immediately apply what im practicing.
So good!! This is what I do with my two sons. Variability and I make it tough
what should i do because i only have an outdoor hoop and it is below freezing every day

@ dam, lol. I say it’s good for conditioning out of season. You really need a dummy defender and a nail defender. To get that game like view.
