- I see myself at proof of concept. If I drove the Camry around after high school I doubt I would be where I am now. Again, not financial advice.

especially the camry

I live rhe civic in your pfp
Right now, im living like im broke. I have a 2009 civic with 100,000 miles and im going to drive it until it dies so i can save up for a nice, fun car. Im 20 and have plenty of money saved up, but the more i save, the nicer car i can get soon.
Feel the same way. I drive a 2000 Honda Accord with 217,000 miles with a 5MT. Going to try and drive that until it dies as well and then afford a reliable daily (2023-24 Nissan Versa S, 5MT). Then I'd start messing around and buying nice cars once I get my engineering degree.
Good job staying financially disciplined. One piece of advice if you are willing to take it, investing your savings in a stock or CD could be an extra way to make your money grow faster. Stocks are risky, but could make sense depending on your risk level and time. CDs have a 5% rate right now.
Awesome bro, what car are you thinking of buying?
I agree with this completely. But I would bet that once you have your cash saved up. $60-100k or whatever, you’ll decide you like having the cash more than buying the car.
Bro beware of inflation, invest those Money in a basic index fund that provides safe and stable returns over time
If forza started this way id take the Vette
Take that back, if life goes this way im taking the vette
10000% vette
Had this mindset with my Evo.
Being financially fkd motivated me to build a business, and now I'm finally at the point where my business is making me more money than my job.
Definitely a dumb mindset, but it helps me break out of lethargy and is my motivation.
This is pretty terrible advice for your viewers. You have a big channel so these cars actually make you money. Cars are one of the biggest wealth killers in this country. How can you possibly say that you learned about compound interest and then also say you should buy nice cars when you’re young? Imagine how much say $50,000 would compound over multiple decades if you invest it into an index fund rather than buying a BMW.
Compound interest won't mean anything when the US dollar is worthless in just 3 decades.
100%, you need to never have a car payment. Save for retirement.
@@ROcheaterMaybe so, but he’s so cute so who cares.
Yeah it is terrible advice when you put it that way. He could have probably said it better but I'm pretty sure I understand where he's coming from having experienced the same effect that he has first hand. Prior to my setting my sights on an Audi R8, I was living paycheck to paycheck in a low paying dead end job pissing my money away at parties. As soon as the R8 was my goal, this inspired me to work insanely hard to get the promotions, pay rises and interviews for better jobs to get more and more money in. At the same time I was motivated to research into, and putting into effect eliminating my debt, raising my credit score and building healthy financial habits. Researching time and mileage depreciation cemented my decision to buy a 350Z for £8.5K which I'm now in the process of selling for £10K as I don't drive her anymore and that can finish off my R8 loan (which is also at the bottom of the depreciation curve). This doesn't even include the networking aspect he was talking about. Purely because of my R8, I have become friends with other R8 and Lambo owners and we are currently spit balling business ventures.
I'm NOW looking to invest, since I have a brilliant credit score with tens of thousands in assets and a much higher monthly wage, but less than 3 years ago I had 0 assets, hundreds (sometimes tens) in the bank with debts. Of course, get fancy car = get loadsa money is utter crap. However my current situation is all because of the snowball effect that all started with my decision on buying an R8. Compound interest, I'm sure is better than buying a car, only if you already have the money to do so. For those who have nothing and need the motivation to get that money in the first place, I'm sure a BMW is a lot more inspiring than an index fund.

Lol a rich kid making videos telling the average person to "buy a bmw so you can talk to rich people". This is Southpark level comedy. Good job.
Forreal
Most people can’t buy expensive cars if they wanted to. And just because you can get approved, you still probably shouldn’t. If you can easily afford it, you’d be MUCH better off directing those funds towards investments and growing your wealth. Those early investing years are *huge* for the long term. If you start investing in your 40s, it’s pretty much too late for you honestly.
Yup, straight up comedy.
His parents bought him everything
yk he worked his but off to get to this point on his own he is far from rich
living like you're broke is genuinely one of the best pieces of advice that anyone can hear. that is the same mentality thestradman had when he started his channel. everyone blows so much money on silly stuff that will benefit them absolutely nothing when they instead could've had a growing pile of money. some solid advice in here.
also I'm not gonna pretend I can afford the TE37's but how much do you want and more importantly, what are the specs?
Just sold the TEs today for $3k and thank you for the support!
Instructions unclear, I now am 90k in debt.
You need an escort team bro you take all of your cars to every meet😂
You’re just like me when I was in my 20s. I still have my nice cars but roll in junk on the daily so it’s easy to tell who’s real
My mentality with cars is if you can't buy it straight up with cash don't bother. Eating Rio Mare cans just to drive a car you can't afford isn't living.
Good advice, I tried it. (I bought a HotWheels)
I get your point and I also get his. I’m more on your side but it doesn’t mean he don’t have a choice. I’d rather live a balanced life with a cheap car even tho I love cars. Than be in the extreme end of eating Rio Mare cans to afford a bmw🤣🤣what the hell are Rio mare cans🤣🤣🤣
I got a GR86 a couple weeks ago. I'm almost 19, first car purchase. It's also my first time driving manual, it's a lot easier than people make it out to be.
Good stuff. Hard work and solid relationships. Gods got you. Keep it up. It was awesome seeing the lineup that Saturday in person!
jake bro, you’re inspiring. i’m trying to get a f80 right now and i keep beating myself down everytime i see someone in one just cause I just started saving. you motivating me man, im only 22 and I wanna start the content grind soon
"live like your broke" is amazing advice 🔥
Just make sure you also have medical insurance to be safe, the other advice was not good at most and potentially damaging at worst like there are better places to park your money than a car, learn from those who make 6 figures but still live paycheck to paycheck
Don’t think you grasped the entire point of the video. Parking all your money in a car is not what I was getting at.
@@JakeSchnatter after watching for the 3rd time I definitely don't get the message but it doesn't really matter cause I'm not even in a position to even consider implementing it.
The 3 primary colours look great together
camry sitting there just happy to be there xd
i love your videos bro ...please drop more recently about your cars or even house updates i mean furniture wise👍
I agree with a lot of what you've said in this video bro. From age 19 to now (just turned 27) I've had a Toyota GT86, Skyline R33, MK4 Supra, S15 Silvia, R34 Skyline and I'm now on my 2nd MK4 Supra that I've just got on the road and a MK1 Ford Focus as a daily. These are most of my dream cars already achieved before 30 years old and I'm now hoping to just hang onto my Supra, but it definitely wouldn't have been possible for me if I was going out a lot, partying, drinking and going on loads of holidays.
I work full time, live broke, wear the same clothes I've had for years and just learn to look after the things I already own so I'm not constantly replacing things I should need to replace.
My dream is to double/triple my current annual income, and have the money to treat myself a bit more, but to continue to stay humble and live sensibly... With a sick ass Supra on my drive!
I turned 17 earlier this month and am just about to buy my own car with my own money. I found this as a Very insightful video, I was wondering how you could afford the M4 alone at your age but watching this video taught me a lot and lead me to reflect on how I view money.
Terrible advice.
Don’t spend a bunch of money on cars when you’re young.
Your going to miss out on your most important saving and investment years.
Unless your parents are rich.
Totally agree
Honestly I’m so glad you keep making videos, you’ve grown so much and we the audience can see it, your videos are always inspiring
yo jake i just bought a 2014 gti, and its been my dream car ever since my bestfriend got his. i also was nervous that i wouldnt be able to make the payments becauise i honestly have a history of not holding down a job. but no that i have a responsibility, im more motivated than ever to only quit a job if i have something lined up where i will be making more while staying happy. great vid man
Love your channel bro ! Only found you about a month ago but have watched quite a few videos.
I do agree with you on this video, bought my F30 lci 330i M sport at 21 and it did motivate me to pursue a higher paying job and starting a side hustle.
great video and advice inspiration to a lot of young entrepreneurs!
Awesome advice that I got from this video brother, I love cars but now I realise that I would rather work something online and get a nice cool car that will last me 10-15 years than a shitbox that I won't enjoy driving and that will remove my motivation and drive to success!
I think the point he's making is that if you're young and dedicated and doing well there's no reason to not buy something nice
And as a car guy I completely get it cause if I spent a huge chunk of cash onna car I really wanted, not only will I be motivated by getting to that point but I'd be trying my hardest to keep the thing in mint condition.
It's just adding something to your life that makes waking up even more exciting.
your my inspiration bro im 18 and i dumped all my money in my c7 z06 and sometimes i really feel like i did a bad investment but it really is not that bad i still got a lot of time to make more money, i love how you always talk about credit since that's what im working on right now.
His parents paid for all this and/or he has a 1200 a month car payment. Go out and get laid instead
Holy your neighbors must love you

My current line is my 2020 BMW M340 straight piped, 2023 Escalade Platinum Sport, and last my 2013 Audi Q7 Prestige S Line that I purchased new. All 3 I am the only owner. My dad’s like almost 57, I’m 16. He bought me a a Mercedes gla250 and he drives a ‘13 golf tdi as a daily…. He’s worth about 10.2mil
Let’s be honest. You bought an Audi in high school. You definitely had a big head start compared to 99% of the population.
Title should be “how to get ahead in life as a wealthy teenager with rich parents”.
Tbf 10k isn’t crazy if you’ve been working for long enough but yeah the 300k house is definitely daddy’s money
$10k he paid in two years???
The point about the cars bringing out your true friends is true. Same thing about events. My C6 has only benefited me as a person, minus the gas.
Living in Romania(Europe), the taxes you to pay for a V8 or V6 are insane and not worthy
Ayo just found your channel, been seeing some of your shorts lately. Cool to find local UA-camrs!
22 here. daily is a tesla model 3. side piece is a manual C4 corvette with a 383 stroker and mean exhaust
Some cars can be seen as investments as well. After a certain amount of time, some of these cars start appreciating instead of depreciating, due to rarity, no longer being manufactured, majority of them being scrapped/crashed etc. Sometimes you can end up reselling them for quite a bit more than you initially purchased them for.
Great advice thankd
just bought a 2018 is350F and couldnt agree more. shits a ton of fun
Keep up the good work Jake!
It's funny how so much of what you said is spot on. First of all, Cars also is a great motivator for me to work insanely hard and save money. I would legit be so much poorer right now if not for my R8.
Second, you touched on it but I want to expand the point of, while cars are not a great investment, you can sell if sh*t hits the fan... If you want to min/max that concept, research everything. Things like projected time and mileage depreciation, do your own long term study on the market etc. Do this for every car you lust for within your budget and see what financially makes sense. (This will also help you save money by spending your weekends productively rather than partying and drinking your cash away that you've just made that week.) Gen 1 R8s for example, are at the bottom of the depreciation curve and are projected to become a classic so prices may raise. Worst case, if I had to sell, I'd still get ALL my money back.
Finally, you mention about networking with nice cars. This was a pipe dream that I told myself to further motivate me to save for my R8 but it actually is so true. Went to a fair few car meets/shows with my 350Z and got just a nice day out. Now in my R8 I'm so much more on a level with other supercar owners and now networking with other R8 and Lambo owners. With wealthier friends comes a wealthier mindset, they've opened my eyes to ideas and concepts that I never even thought about. This summer we're looking to go to higher end car shows together to expand our network as a group.
You keep getting better and better. I want to help you! Got some good ideas
Keep up the grind good content
Jake will get more famous i live mk5s but non youtuber liked mk5s but jake has proved hes a real car guy by buying an mk5❤
yeah its risky but always wanting a better car made me work harder when i had pretty much no other bills or rent to worry about
A mix with American, Jdm, and German. Best trio.
Thank you for your awesome advice! i took it to heart and bought my $70k dream car, had to lend 20k tho, i had plans to use it on a house but im happy you convinced me not to. Thanks and wish me luck with the upcoming problem of my gf finding out! oh yeah, and the coming bills :)
Yo this my first time watching you and that eagle is so toxic 😂😂😂😂😂 made my morning bro
Honestly, I have owned one of these. I had a 4th gen Camry. It was my absolute favorite car. A lady rear ended me going 50 when I was stopped cause she was texting. Also now I'm in an 88 Camry (2nd gen) with a manual. Also very nice too, but if I had to pick out one of the cars you own, it would need to be the M4
Tuning in from Pullman love the content 🫡

bro your lineup is perfect- some german, JDM (also german lol), and Merica. And the colors are great
everything as its time, i could made dumb decisions younger, invested my money that I could bought 2 new gen BMW m4's when they came out cash few years back. Best decision i ever made because now a can buy a garage of them now. Now that have so much extra i am deciding on a 2024 Porshe gt3 RS and the 2024 Nissan GTR r35 and want to go into track racing. Just turned 35 recently left the U.S and moved to Germany. Patience is key , some people feel peer pressured because they feel left behind. I see a lot of 18-year-olds everywhere sounding like a stressed 45-year-old people need to chill a bit and work for the shit they want its not the end of the world.
Can’t Wait to See more on the supra. Thank you for the advice on finance
Love the channel, currently in college and want an f80 m3 so badly
Good one i bet the m4 has the best feel behind the wheel😁
bro when he put on the bald eagle mask I was like "AYE, I'VE SEEN THIS GUY BEFORE" xD
Absolutely not! I’ve made 6 figures since my early 20s and I’m SO HAPPY I didn’t buy an expensive car. It’s really allowed me to build a lot of wealth. There’s so many great fun cars that can be had for well under $30k even under $20k. When I see people who make less than me driving more expensive cars, I can’t help but cringe at how big of a financial mistake they’re making. They’re literally killing their wealth then will complain about money. I don’t get it.
bro owns 2 bmws, a camry, and a corvette at his age!!!
As much fun for me watching M4, Corvette and Supra videos is, Camry ones were next level especially the wrap one XDD. Would be cool to see more of that
Hey man I was really wondering what camera setup you are using. Would really love to buy the same as I like your authentic style of videos and I think the camera helps.
Living the dream bro, love the content ❤

Haven’t watched the vid yet but I agree do it, you could be smart financially getting a 4 cyl but tbh getting the fun car pushed me to make more money and be more responsible in a way.
Best car in the video is the Camry sitting in the back because it's cheap and reliable.
Good for you bud... just know for every person who can self-motivate by throwing themselves into debt, there's a thousand who just end up living in debt and not saving during the most advantageous years of their life, for retirement or a house or later cool cars... Be smart out there and listen to self-made people who came from meager means.
Dear young people. Don’t buy expensive cars when you’re young. These kind of videos fucked me into getting my dream car early and it was a HORRIBLE idea. Nothing better than HAVING NO PAYMENTS OR DEBT.
plan on buying a 15k bmw in 4 months at 17 and plan on buying it full becuase having payments and something going wrong where you cant pay can mess up your hole life
if you actually watch the video you will understand his point of view of the video
@@Mrkingwoozy I gave my own standpoint and advice towards the topic of the video
@@CopeMustDie If you watched it you understand that some people need extra motivation to make more money like for example someone who wants to get a Mustang GT but their current finances is limiting them of hitting their goal which will teach them that they have to hustle either by starting a business or working extra hard to get that promotion or starting a side hustle to get that car. if you really watched the video you would've grasped the concept of the video.
@@Mrkingwoozy That is NOT motivational. That is KILLING motivation. Most people will read the title and run with it. So that's the point of my comment. Even simply telling people to start businesses and side hustles for a car is HORRIBLE. That is where most people lose everything and get stuck with crippling debt, and to do it for a car is insufficient. I literally wasted my first 4 young adult years chasing these material goals, and it wasn't until I stopped wasting money that I finally started making 6 figures at 23... I'm just trying to help people dawg... because a lot of people won't be fortunate enough to land in the position I did so quickly.
