It's crazy how wrong "haters" can be...
1) You can't use "Brady didn't do this...." then switch to "Brady did lose too Eli"
(Belichick never threw a TD or executed a game plan to be able kick a game winning FG)
2) NE went 11-5 with Matt Cassel...with the EXACT SAME team that went 18-1 with Brady.
(You also can't use Eli channeling his inner Peyton or David Tyree, a relative no-name, making one of the most incredible catches EVER as negatives toward Brady.)

3) Belichick's career record SPEAKS FOR ITSELF and is IRREFUTABLE.
Having a losing record, even if it were just by a single game, is still garbage when compared to having more than THREE TIMES as many wins as losses.
4) Lastly, as if the points above aren't enough, Brady taking the same 7-9 non-playoff team and making them a 15-5 Super Bowl winning team....while winning 3 road playoff games against the bad Commanders, Brees and Rodgers, two other ALL TIME greats at the QB position only helps Brady and hurts Belichick, in terms of "legacy"

Brady going to the Bucs was the best move he could have ever made, both career wise and PR wise. He won a Super Bowl with a team that basically allowed him to run the entire team as like a player/coach/GM and was also allowed to kick back and show that he actually has a personality. Just that video of him throwing the Lombardi trophy to another boat improved his image from "the GOAT who is kinda boring" to "the GOAT that is fun and cool"

Losing records? Except Cleveland in 1994 (11-5), Patriots in 2008 (10-5) with Matt Cassel, and Pats from 2020-2022 (25-25) when they went .500 for those 3 seasons combined.

In my opinion there is a significant piece missing to why he left. During the Super Bowl loss to the Eagles, Bill B had benched Malcom Butler the entire game due some some minor off-field action. If Butler had played, I think the Patriots would have won the SB.

There's got to be serious problems when 6 Superbowls aren't enough to make the locker room the happiest in the NFL but I'm glad that Brady left and proved what everybody but Belichick knew was the truth, Brady made him not the other way around. How many times have coaches come from the Belichick system only to fail miserably? The guy had a once in a lifetime QB and that's the only reason why he's still included in any football conversation.

Belichick deserves his own credit and Brady deserves his own. They're both severely overhyped- that's not being negative about them, its saying they're both among the very best if not the best of their generation. But everyone treats them as indisputable godlike figures when they're not, they are just like the other generational talents of other eras. Brady compares similarly to Montana, Bradshaw and Graham. Belichick won a championship with the 1990 giants as an assistant coach. Both were elevated by being with Robert Kraft who is undoubtedly the best owner in the NFL.
Although Brady did abandon his girlfriend and child as soon as he got famous so that's pretty awful of him.

I was not always a Tom Brady fan by any means but his play on the field made me know one thing, that this man is a master quarterback and a Warrior.

God, being a patriots fan in 2010s was insane. 8-straight AFC championship games, 5 super bowls, 3 wins, every season they knew you were the favorite and every season you came in and torched the league.
I used to get heat for saying from 2006 on that he was the SB favorite and the Patriots were the best and most dominant team year in and year out; but even when they came up short you knew they were the team to beat.
My Dad told me that year Peyton won his first chip that its ok son, I think its just his year - and I remember telling my Dad that something happened to Brady's face at the end of that game and that I thought he was about to go Super Saiyan lol

The incident was from the 2019 final regular season game against Miami. Pats force a punt with 1:40 on the clock before half time. Belichick calls a timeout to give Brady the ball for a drive to put up points before the half. . . . Except, no. . . . No timeout, Fins run 40 seconds off the clock, Brady gets the ball with under a minute. Runs one play and the clock keeps running into half time. Ultimate disrespect for Brady and the offense and they lose to Miami, and KC gets the first-round bye. Great job coach. And great job for benching Malcolm Butler in the Superbowl and getting torched by Nick Foles. Defensive genius there, while Brady threw for 500 yards, a Superbowl record.
Brady going to the Bucs proved that he wasn't just a product of Belichick's system, but rather he was the driver of the offense all of those years. It was one of the best moves of his career.
He was the driver of the Patriot Way. When you see your best player prepare, work harder than anyone else and demand excellence from everyone. He knew how to lead his TEAM, motivate them and if you watch any interview (except AB) of his teammates, it’s clear they ALL would go through a wall for him. Guys came to NE to play with TB12 and not to play for Hoodie.

That was a down year given the low attendance. They got lucky against the Saints and third time matches tend to yield different results if there was a sweep, and they played a QB who pretty much is a playoff bridesmaid who can't get the monkey off his back since his only SB as he lost at home the next year. Rams pretty much shut them down the next year and SF would have done the same. If only Seattle just let the Rams have the division and TB never goes to NO in divisional. Seattle has been known to always lose games to hurt the Saints.

I'm not really a Brady, Bucs or Pats fan, just a fb fan but it'll either have to be a masterclass in scheme and execution by Bill and the Pats or Brady and the Bucs will run away with it. Tampa has a lot of talent and experience on the team that NE doesn't currently. It's not truly a fair matchup. One team is built to win right now and the other is in the beginnings of a rebuild, specifically on offense.

Just an observation here. As a long time Bucs fan, it's interesting to watch the relationship betweenhead coach Ariens and Brady. And as Ariens implies, he just lets Brady be Brady. So far, it seems to work. Brady has one of his best buds in Tampa to play pitch and catch with. Just a couple kids playing sand lot football. It seems to work.

Long time Tom Brady hater here. It started as anger over the Drew Bledsoe situation which caused me to stop following the Pats. And continued thereafter as he defeated so many of the teams I loved. Today I can look back and admit he is a class act, I can't name one thing about him that's bad. My own butt hurt prevented me from following and enjoying one of the greatest careers in NFL history. I've been watching old games trying to appreciate what I tried so hard to ignore all of those years. I honestly regret that I missed all of the excitement and happiness he brought Pat fans. Much respect to TB12.

Just watched this October 2021. Buccaneers beat the Pats at Gillette and played the first super bowl in their home stadium - and naturally won it. Destroying the KC Chiefs whose only touchdown in Tampa occurred when the team plane landed - not one during the game. Perhaps in the long run Belichick gets Brown into a Brady clone - he definitely looks the real deal - and it will work for both. Tom needed a team that could win now, Belichick needed to rebuild someday. Will his new QB leave $100 million on the table to let Belichick look like a genius? That is an entirely different question. It wouldn’t shock me b/c Jones seems to have the character that winning is all that matters. Will he still feel that way after one, two, 3 titles? Only time will tell. As Boomer said, “that’s why they play the games.”

I love Belichick, but Brady was great enough that he should have let him do whatever he wanted. When you have a player that special on your team, you let them do whatever makes them happy, as long as they’re still performing. The other dumb thing about letting Brady go was that he had absolutely no backup or plan to replace him.

Then bill gives him this fake 2 year deal. I’m a life time new Englander and route for all the teams. I’m 52 and have never seen an athlete of Brady’s stature, success, professionalism, team first guy get treated as he did, it disgusted me. That day I ordered my Brady jersey and became a Bucs supporter. It’s funny to see these videos of Celtics practicing back in the sixtys and Russel is sitting in the bleachers reading the paper while the rest of the team was practicing you know why cause Auerbach new he was special he was different and spoke with him as an equal and listened to his needs. I still love the pats and route for them…..except when Tom is on the other side. I think you need to watch the video again. This breakup was like a rock band with huge egos, and one member left to join another band or to have a solo career. Brady went to join the Buccaneers in 2020 and Belichick stayed to run the Patriots however he wanted. We are currently observing the results of their mutual decisions. Just my opinion.

I disagree. No one is more humble than Brady based on his accomplishments. He never asked or expected special treatment. Just due respect. BB could not/would not do that. So the humble GOAT took his talents to TB.

Tom Brady went to a Tampa Bay team that only needed a quarterback. It was an ideal situation for Tom Brady. The money didn't hurt either.
Tom was the ultimate team player. He took less money to help the team. He rarely did commercials unless other players were involved. He had Gronk and Moss for a while, but didn’t always have great receivers. Tom left

This was the player that brought them 6 championships, and they could not even show him a shred of respect. As a reminder: THIS was what fans of 31 other NFL teams have to put up with when Brady was a Patriot. The biggest responsibility of a professional football coach should be about maximizing each player’s potential. Disrespecting arguably the greatest quarterback in history of the sport isn’t it, especially when the guy is as great a team player who cuts his salary for the team. The saddest part is that the most logical explanation for his action is authority complex, a fancy way of say a coach being jealous of his player because he is more important for team success.

Well, looking back now it is clear the Bellichek is mediocre. He made some good trades and decisions, but without the QB spot settled he cannot build an offence. Looking back on the totality of his trades and draft picks, it is easy to see how much Brady carried those offences and trained the receivers. Bellichek got not only a top tier QB, but a top tier OC in Brady. Mac Jones is a good QB, but without a good OC and with time since Brady left, we just see that the offence cannot move the ball. The defence isn’t even good anymore. I think Bellichek needs to be fired if the Pats finish below a .300 (which is honestly what I am expecting).

Both are great, but Bill is far better than the 2nd best coach of the last 15 years. You can make a case that Brady hasn’t been the best QB of the last 15 years. In either way, the 2nd best QB is closer to Brady than the 2nd best coach is to Bill.
