I drive a 2014 tiger 1200 in michigan sarge.. fell in love with the sound of the triple.. still have it as stock exhaust. Top heavy yes it is at 570lbs.. enjoyable once you hit 20 30 mph absolutely.. 1st gear is a mountain.. yes.. if you have the right tires and windscreen bubble.. boy does it pull easily 120 130 mph.. can give a run for any 600cc sportsbike. It is a hoot to drive with all the luggage on most importantly.. thats most important to test off road .. cos no one is going planned off roading in a tourer like this just to make jumps.. here atleast we encounter lot of dirt roads we want to take while heading onto a destination. Just a small input to your test plan 👍🏼 Great video 🤘 hope you had fun on it.
You will miss the smoothness of your 1200 on this one and i am itching to try it on an open highway where I can let the engine sing. But where Triumph have made the biggest gain is the new 1200's offroad prowess
Most importantly, the old one looks the part, with those large menacing looks; darn intimidating, as a full sized adventure should be. The new looks a bit more tamed and less of a maniac, which I'm not a fan of.
....sir !! Which type of rear monoshock is better and why !! The one which is mounted on the swing arm or the pro link (uni track) type which is mounted below the swing arm and on the linkages !!!??????? Plz reply !!
Fantastic review Sagar (albeit no surprise). Looks to be a great offering from Triumph (as promised in the build up). Would have loved your comments on how far this is standing up against BMW GS1250 and if money doesn't matter, is GS still the best Adv Tourer and should we go for it? For a different day? 😊
The Rally Pro definitely is more capable now offroad with its 220mm travel, 21inch front and amazing suspension, but the GS still is better on the road. Cant wait to ride them back to back
Very comprehensive review Sagar. We request you to throw some light on the transmission that this bike & BMW 1250 has vis a vis the chain & sprockets on its lower siblings.
The shaft drive is the preferred choice on these serious tourers because of their low maintenance bypassing the need to clean, lube the chain and setting the right slack
The new triumph tiger 1200 is great options in the big ADV bike segment. Its very close competitor to the best in segment BMW R1250 GS. The new tiger looks very compact , sporty and modern compared to the previous model, the front design absolutely good. My personal favourite is the GT pro. Then the 3 cylinder 1160 cc engine that gets more power with also very good exhaust sound. The features list is Aslo impressive. All of this comes at great price as well. Overall the tiger 1200 got very good updates. Its Worth the money👍👍. Love the tiger 1200. The video was realy awesome bro . The riding Short's were amazing. The location is very beautiful a perfect setup to launch a incredible ADV bike.
Thankyou Thankyou and Thankyou again for you are the first to actually talk about the negative Part of the bike which is the T-Plane and which I feel triumph has plagued its adv bikes with.. I mean we do around 20% offroad in a year of our annual riding quota and the amount of time spent on highways at 120 which is like 5k rpm will leave the rider numb.. I mean the mirrors go blurry... c'mon triumph... let the triple be a triple..

Hi sagar , need to ask a very pertinent question, I am 5.6 feet and looking for the tiger 1200 , am confused which one to get, would love to go off roads as well but like to ride for long trips, can the GT explorer do off roading, I will be waiting for the reply then decide. Thanks. Dr bhubon Chatterji.
I drive a 2020 1200 Desert Edition (off-road biased). Even with 9 fewer hp and 8 fewer torks, and even with 20 odd kilos of love handles over the 2022/23, it's more than enough. I chose it over the alpine edition (road biased) because I go "off-road" once in a while, and by off-road I mean nothing technical - just green lanes, dirt or gravel roads, etc. But I appreciate the suspension travel and off-road mode ABS and TC. On road, it's a beast. The sound and feel of that smooth triple (non t-plane) on a 0-80 pull through the gears with the blipper is sublime.
Sarge, I was waiting for this review as the Tiger line-up is one of my all time fav bike line-ups but I genuinely wanted to ask one thing, given how the automotive situation of India, is large displacement (large = 1000+cc) actually worth it ?
Lovely overview, thank you. Why would anyone who is only going to stick to the road buy the Rally Pro with the 21” front wheel and knobby tyres. A 21” front can never be as flickable as a 19” (in this range) and again nowhere close to a 17” front on normal road bikes. A good, solid update on the new Tiger/s. Kudos to Triumph. Cheers
@@SagarSheldekarOfficial You mean the 21” inch front felt as good in corners as the 19” front? That would be incredible and defy motorcycle physics. Also, the million dollar question 😁how’s this baby compare against the king GS! Maybe after the full review you could run a comparison. Thank you. Cheers
@@SagarSheldekarOfficial Finally was able to take a test ride of the GT Pro. Brilliant by Triumph! She really flies, the grunt, the toque is addictive. Like you said, I was amazed by the handling, they have really done some magic here for that, even with 19” front. Unbelievable riding dynamics and power. I think this one will best the GS easily in pure power. The main negative I found was VIBRATIONS and more VIBRATIONS! They were present everywhere, handlebar, foot pegs, tank. It was so very annoying and impossible to ignore. If Triumph would have kept the old Tiger firing order this would have been a dream bike. I didn’t like the TFT either, too much of wasted space inspite of the big appearance. Much prefer the appearance and graphics on my Street Triple RS which is not great in the first place. Please do post a Tiger vs GS comparison as and when possible. Cheers
