Really excellent explanation of how to use a kerf maker when using the fence to determine the width of the kerf for larger panels. Well done sir.

I’ve bought myself a Bridge City tools one and I’ve used it once now. After cutting some dado’s on the sled I’ve been staring at my saw thinking,ok so how would one be using this gimmick with a fence. Is that even possible…yes. It is and easy too… thanks for showing me what I could not contemplate.

Hello Sir. That was really good but you did not show how to make it. You presentation was how to use it. Please show us how to make it. Thanks.

I fail to see how this is a game changer. It's a tool that exists for years and it does a trivial job and there are many other methods for compensating for the blade thickness.

Because all the old tools and old carpenters are disappearing and I believe these old tools need to be kept in the toolbox

@@PawPawsWorkShop what is replacing the kerf maker today? And how can an old tool be a game changer? That term is typically used for a new innovation.

The kerf maker is a neat handy tool, I have made several over the years. One for each blade and mark what blade it is for. The key to making this work well for me is the adjustment of the screw for the offset of the blade kerf. What I have done to insure the accuracy of kerf thickness of the blade is to use a flat head screw. I also 3D printed several from the thingaverse website anther great video!😁🛫

what are printing from that website? A screw with a little thread locker on it would as simple as it gets, no??

Yes, a flat head screw is critical. I need to try a 3D printed one. Thanks for your comments. Merry Christmas to you and your family
